About: I've been around dogs all my life. My grandparents were breeders for Scotties, Cocker Spaniels and Terriers. My personal pets have been Velvet a cooker spaniel, Tobby a shepherd/lab mix, Doobee a shepherd/collie mix and my current cohort is Harley a 50 lb mixed breed rescue from texas. I have completed over 18 months of weekly training with Harley culminating with AKC canine good citizen certificate. What i learned from that experience was the importance and significance of consistency. Additionally that I am trained to be as consistent as possible in providing the type of care that you prefer for your pet. I'm retired so I am usually available anytime and can do same day appointments. I'm usually up before 6am and keep late night hours also so please feel free to contact me anytime. I have a fenced yard and can easily crate your pet if needed. I have one pet friendly dog at home if your pet likes company. I do not have any children living at my home.

Managing a diverse three-dog pack with completely different sizes, breeds, and personalities—including a delicate senior dog—means I am hyper-aware of animal body language, stress triggers, and environmental safety. I strictly follow all entry/exit protocols to prevent escape artists from slipping out the door. I am patient, gentle, and highly experienced in tracking slow movements, administering oral medications, and recognizing when a pet needs quiet rest.

My work at a pet boarding facility has provided me with professional animal care training. I know how to handle aggressive, nervous, sickly, and elderly animals. It's all part of the job! I have work experience at a pet boarding facility, which provided me with plenty of on-hands training for animal care. About: I have been a dog lover my entire life and have cared for dogs since I was about 10 years old. I’ve had the privilege of having many different breeds and mixed breeds as part of my family, so I have a lot of varied experience. You can count on me for happy paws and lots of tail wags! I am available to walk or drop in on your dog during the day on weekdays! The hours would be between 9-12:30 Monday through Thursday. We currently have a chocolate lab who is 8 years old and is such a sweetheart. She loves to play fetch in our backyard and go on walks with the family. About: I had a high-energy pointer/setter mix growing up and have always defaulted to caring for dogs as I did Jazzie--getting their energy out but knowing when they're tuckered. I commonly pet sit for my cousin and coworkers in Alaska where leashes were important to protect against wild animal encounters, so I can assure you I will be careful to get your pet home safe and happy! I currently work a mix of seasonal and rotational geology jobs in remote Alaska. My husband and I just moved here, so I'm finding a meaningful way to spend free time while staying active whenever I can! Happy to get out of the house when pets need! I am happy to follow detailed instructions on how you like your pet cared for including double checking all locks, gates, and fences. I will make sure they are properly leashed and a safe distance from others we meet on walks as well as providing as much or as little petting as they wish. My very first job back in the day was at a pet store caring for the puppies. About: Growing up I had many pets. Ranging from cats, mice, dogs, lizards and chickens. I currently take care of 2 lovely dogs for a lady 3 nights a week and they are a joy I am available from 8am to 10pm but can be flexible if you need care earlier in the day as well. I am also ok with last minute notice within a reasonable time frame Currently they are crate trained and always walked on a leash. Basic commands are a must sit stay etc. treats given sparingly and play time is essential

I used to run a sled dog team in Alaska and now my own rescue crew (and fosters) has included pretty pibbles, barky beagles, high energy huskies, special care seniors, and cool cats & kittens, too. I've fostered for different rescues and volunteer to walk big dogs at the shelter. Let's chat about your pets and what they each need to thrive! Weekdays: I work remotely in the afternoons, so morning care is best for longer visits and field trips! Dinner/bedtime care available in evenings. Overnights and weekends available. I'm happy to care for pets at your home, and take them out for adventures if they'd like. I currently rent and am not able to board pets here. I'm experienced with crate and rotate scenarios (to keep certain dogs separate), helping seniors with mobility, and supporting dogs while on medical restrictions. I am used to extra steps for escape artists or separation anxiety pups, so don't be shy in letting me know your routines.
