“Rachel is an awesome caregiver. I have used her services multiple times now and have never been disappointed. She’s great with all 4 of my cats of various ages and personalities. Highly recommend!”
“First time using the service, my wife and i were very nervous at first. Melissa came over to meet us and our fury babies the day before we booked. She was very professional and mostly great with our fury babies, they loved her right away. We knew they would be in great hands while we were away. Highly recommend Melissa to anyone needing a great doggie sitter. We will be using her services in the future.”

“Monica did a great job! Both kitties seemed to enjoy her stopping by. Bear is usually pretty shy to new people and hides, but with Monica he seemed to have quickly warmed up to her a got some pets.”

“Ella was absolutely AMAZING! I was nervous leaving my cats for a week but she made sure they were well cared for while we were away. Loved the daily notes and photos. Would 12 out of 10 recommend Ella if you are looking for a pet sitter in the area!”

“We had a great experience with Sabrina and we plan to ask her help again taking care of our cats in future. She sent plenty of updates and pictures and when we came back our babies were calm as if we didn't leave.”

For the safety and serenity of all guests, dogs must be non-aggressive and up-to-date on shots.
“I couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter. Aqsa is reliable experienced and caring. My dog has anxiety and struggles when we are away. I wasn’t able to enjoy my time away because I was so worried about him. Aqsa won him over and he loves spending time with her. I highly recommend her.”

“Karen was great! Watched our (2) cats with a very quick short notice. Gave us updates, brought in our mail, and did a final walkthrough/sweep before they left. We will be using her services again.”

About: While I don’t have formal training, I’ve been a proud dog mom for over 14 and 16 years. Both of my pups lived long, happy, and healthy lives, thanks to lots of love, consistent care, and really getting to know their individual needs. I truly adore animals—so much so that I find myself slowing down or stopping just to wave or talk to dogs I see out on walks in the neighborhood! Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or just quiet companionship, I’m all about making pets feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. I work full-time Monday through Friday, but pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for. I’m available some evenings during the week and more flexibly on weekends. Whether it's stopping by for a walk, a drop-in visit, or weekend sitting, I’m always excited to spend time with animals and give them the love and attention they deserve. Creating a safe and comfortable environment is my top priority. In my home, pets have a cozy and secure space to relax, including a pet-safe pod for quiet time or rest—even though I don’t use a traditional crate. I also have a fully fenced-in backyard where dogs can enjoy fresh air and play safely under supervision. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I treat them with the same love, respect, and attention I gave my own dogs for over 14 years. You can trust that your pet will be in caring and capable hands.
“Abby was great. This is my second time having Abby drop in to check on my cat and she died an amazing job. I always get pictures and an update and she even brought in packages that had been delivered while I was out of town. Very happy to have found Abby and will definitely use again in the future.”

“Sandy was super responsive to our last-minute request to watch our kitty for a long weekend. She is friendly and clearly cares a lot about animals. We felt comfortable leaving our cat alone for the weekend knowing Sandy would be checking in. Marcy (our cat) seemed happy and well taken care of when we got home. We would definitely use Sandy again.”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have experience with dogs, cats, and small animals, and spent four years working as a Veterinary Assistant in Wilmington and Chapel Hill. I treat every pet as if they were my own, offering patience, safety, and lots of love. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and deeply loved while you’re away. I currently work from home running a small business. I do not work every day. I am flexible and available to help you out when needed. I have a Labrador Retriever and two senior, friendly domestic shorthair cats of my own. While you’re away, I care for your pets as if they were my own. I follow your instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and take time to understand each animal’s personality and needs. I like to keep a log for you on how they did and how things went for our time together. We have a nice sized home to accommodate your furry friend. Pets are allowed upstairs. We are happy to have your baby sleep on his or her bed in our room at night, or a crate if that’s what they are used to. Please supply your pet’s favorite bed or crate. Pets are allowed on the couch. We have a large, fenced back yard for those pups that like to sunbathe or sniff around during the day! I focus on calm, gentle care, plenty of affection (when welcomed), and making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m attentive to behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, and I communicate regularly so you have peace of mind. I have experience with senior dogs and cats, puppies and kittens and special needs pets through vet time experience and personal experience.

Monica was terrific! Very professional and personable. I could tell from the pictures she would send while on her walks with my two doodles, they were comfortable with her. Knowing she was with my dogs gave me an extra sense of comfort while being away from my boys. I would definitely book her again.

Booked jade last minute for a trip we’d be away for and she was so great. She communicated with us throughout her time with our dog, she seemed to care a great deal for him, and was timely with the pictures while there as well. Would definitely book again and recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Apex with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
