“Roxanna was a lifesaver, quickly responding to our last-minute request for someone to drop in twice a day to check on our 3.5 month old crazy puppy. She was patient with our pup, provided consistent updates, stayed in close communication and took the time to meet with me at our home the day before. She also discovered an issue with our puppy's playpen that we were unaware of and went above and beyond to take care of it. We would definitely request her services again. Thank you, Roxanna!”

“Kelly was the best for our sweet Olly! He is still learning the ropes and her patience for sure made him feel comfortable and seen. We will for sure book kelly again in the future.”

About: I have a very calming, peaceful and patient nature. I let an animal approach me when they are ready. I start with appropriate treats and see how they react to me in order to build a relationship. I work part time until 6 every week day and I’m free on weekends, so I have plenty of time for walks to the park or to stay the night. In my home I have two dogs. I take them out twice a day for walks. They get plenty of belly rubs and kisses. One sleeps with me in my bed and is kind of my therapy dog, and he knows it!

About: Hi! I’m Anjali, a lifelong animal lover that wants to help take care of your loved ones. I like to focus on you and your pets needs, and adapting myself to y’all’s specific ways of doing things. I am big on taking photos and giving you lots of updates! I currently work from home, so your pet will get plenty of attention, supervision, and care if you’d like me to stay with them! My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away. I follow your pet’s routine closely—whether that’s multiple walks, feeding schedules, or just lots of cuddles. I work from home, so outside of meeting times, I have lots of flexibility to meet your pets needs and wants! I also send regular updates with photo/video so you always know how your pet is doing. I have always been a conscious guest in homes. I’d be extra diligent to be sure I’m taking care of your pets and your home during any services. Being welcomed into someone’s life and home is a big deal to me, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ll be sure to go at the pace of your pets, giving both you and them the reassurance that they can trust me.
“Monica was so wonderful with all 3 of my cats while I was gone for 10 days. She made sure they got lots of attention, followed all instructions left to a T, and even brought in our mail! I was so comfortable while traveling knowing that my cats were well cared for. Her detailed updates and photos each day allowed me to enjoy my vacation without worry.”

“Another great service provided by Scott. He came in twice a day to feed my three cats. He was very communicative about my shy cat but all animals ate and got to play while I was gone. Scott is very dependable and my go to sitter and walker!”

“Shannon is absolutely fabulous. She came for a meet and greet and Kiwi loved her immediately! I felt so comfortable with her caring for my baby. 10/10 highly recommend her incredible services :)”

“Great with our senior Pom who needed multiple touches a day and medication 2x a day. We worried leaving her for a week but Rosemary was very attentive and kept in communication throughout our trip. Would absolutely rebook/recommend!”

About: I have been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. Over the years, my family has had five dogs and two cats, and I currently help care for three dogs. Last year, I raised my own Australian Shepherd puppy, which gave me firsthand experience with puppy training, exercise routines, and daily care. In addition to caring for my own pets, I frequently walk a neighbor's dog and regularly pet sit for my parents when they travel. I also have experience assisting with Rover visits, occasionally filling in for my mom when she is unavailable. Through these experiences, I have become comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, and ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I strive to provide the same level of care and attention that I would want for my own pets. I'm currently home for the summer while attending college, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the day. I do work a few evening shifts at a local restaurant, but they're typically only about five hours long, and I'm home by 9:30 PM at the latest. This gives me lots of time to provide attentive care, visits, walks, playtime, and updates. I'm committed to making sure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve! Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions so they can stick to what's familiar. During every visit, I'll make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, plenty of playtime or affection (if they want it!), and I'll always double-check that doors, gates, and windows are secure before I leave. I also love sending photo updates so you can feel confident knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away.
“This is the second time Wendy watched our two kitties and she had above expectations of care for them while we were gone! This was a 2 week trip and my husband and I are always a little worried for our one diabetic cat, but Wendy always kept us in the loop on his glucose numbers and administered the appropriate amount of insulin. Thanks again!!”

“Karen was great! Watched our (2) cats with a very quick short notice. Gave us updates, brought in our mail, and did a final walkthrough/sweep before they left. We will be using her services again.”

“Pamela took such good care of our pups! Her communication is on point and I never had to worry. She was so sweet to take in my mail/packages too. We will definitely be contacting Pamela for future pet sits!!”

About: Growing up with pets, I know how important it is to have your fur babies in the hands of someone who thrives off their energy, cuddles, kisses and never ending ball tosses! It’s official! I am Rovering full time! I’ll take all the furry love I can get! I do a bit of work from home, but only a few hours so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I look forward to loving on your four pawed babies! As an in home care provider, I would refer to each clients, and their adorable pets individual needs and expectations…PS, I also take professional photos, clean and organize if requested!!
“Jenny always takes such good care of my two dogs! I can tell that they both love her, and I am able to fully relax during vacations knowing that they are in excellent hands with her!”

Sriya always takes such good care of my two cats! She is highly detail-oriented, punctual, and an animal-lover to her core. She gives us great peace of mind with plenty of pictures and thorough updates. Whether it’s daily drop-in visits, or a multi-day overnight stay, she has been incredibly respectful of our home and the boundaries of our (admittedly difficult) cats. I highly recommend her services!!

Courtney is a wonderful sitter for our little old lady cat. She gives her cuddles and treats every visit and makes sure she gets fresh air on the porch if weather allows. She is also a great communicator and follows directions for care exceptionally well. She is one of our go-to sitters :-)

Im so grateful to Nazneen and her husband Mossin for taking care of my cat while I was away! I was very glad that they were open to a meet and greet so I could show them what I needed to do. They were very communicative and caring, and even continued to provide excellent care despite an unexpected change in schedule. I felt so at ease knowing my cat was in their good hands!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Apex. On Rover:

- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
