Her sons are very gentle and natural animal lovers so that was not any concern even though our dog generally prefers calm environments. Our oldest cat started showing signs of a heat stroke the night before we were traveling internationally. The next morning he was not in good shape and we had a flight to catch. Cynthia was not even scheduled to start until the next day but we had no one else to reach out to ( we were 2 weeks new to North Carolina!). She was there for us and took our cat to the emergency center and waited there for a couple of hours, working with the staff there and keeping us posted while we made our way to the airport. About: My husband and I grew up with dogs, and our kids are great at playing gently with animals....so we are opening our home (with a fenced in yard) to take great care of your sweet furry friend while you're away. We don't have any dogs or cats of our own; we will treat yours like our own and include them in our family life while they’re here. We have a fenced yard and no other furry pets to compete for attention. We can walk your dog in our quiet neighborhood, and they’ll have plenty of space to relax in our house too. Our only pet is a small, nonvenomous corn snake who stays in his terrarium all the time, behind closed doors if needed. We are trusting you to be honest up front about your pet's needs and behavior so we can all have the best experience. Let’s do an in person meet & greet to make sure it’s a good fit! We work from home & hybrid so it’s normal to have one or both of us home during the whole work day. The kids have school & activities that we take turns driving them back and forth to - typical family life that we just integrate our dog friends into while giving them attention & walks along the way. We board pets in our home when we are available and know we are going to be home a good amount of the time. We go out in the backyard with them. Note that our house has stairs.

About: Hi! My husband and I live in Apex. We have 4 kids, ages 10 and 13 (two sets of twins so only 2 ages!), and one cavapoo. I am a nurse and now work as a case manager from home. Pets have always been a huge part of my life and I’ve passed my love for animals onto my children! We lost our 4 year old goldendoodle to lymphoma and that left a huge void for our family. While we are not quite ready to permanently welcome a new family member, we have a lot of love to give your pet when you are away. You can leave your pet knowing they will be treated just like our own with lots of rubs, cuddles, and walks! Our dog, Max, loves a playmate. Our children are great with animals as well. We have raised our pets from puppies, taken care of family members’ pets when they are traveling, and checked in on neighbors dogs when they are away. There is always someone ready and willing to play with or walk your pup. I work from home so am available to provide your pet the care they deserve. On the occasion I have a meeting out of the house, I am able to schedule it around the needs of your pet as I have complete flexibility over scheduling. My husband is a teacher so is also free to help by early afternoon. We do not have a fenced yard, but there are sidewalks, greenways, and dog parks all around us. We take our own dog on multiple walks per day, so are often outside. We have an open floor plan with lots of room for playing fetch. Because we have raised 2 dogs from puppies, we have a crate available if needed as well.
About: I volunteered at animal shelters in Antibes and Beziers (both in France), working with a lot of different breeds and ages. From puppies to elderly dogs; i adjusted to the needs of dogs. I even fostered a german shepherd that was abused and malnourished, until he found a living family that lived on a farm. I am present for dogs and know that each dog needs special care and attention. My goal is to ensure parents of furry children can go in trips and vacations without concerns. I work from home, and do a minimum of 3 walks a day (depending on the weather) for a minimum of 6 miles per day. Additionally, I can take breaks at any given time if they need to go out or play for a few minutes. Our pets are never left alone for less than 30 minutes per day, and usually it’s them taking a break from us. We have a fenced yard and 2 full size crates. Our kids are used to pets and very kind to them. The pet beds area are in our living room, under the fireplace; and in the master bedroom. At night, pets are allowed on beds and couches, upstairs and downstairs. (Unless you tell us otherwise)

About: I have taken care of animals off and on since I was seven years old. I love animals and have had many - in my childhood home I have three dogs and two cats. I have one cat right now but I plan on getting more animals in the future. I love large dogs to tiny ones.
