About: Growing up, I was always surrounded by dogs. Whether it be family, friends, or neighbors, there was always a pet nearby for me to visit, care for, or walk. Even in my household, I can't remember a time where there wasn't a dog running around. In addition, I've volunteered numerous times in dog shelters---caring for the less fortunate animals in our towns and giving them the love they deserve. This has shaped a lot of who I am and has made me into the animal lover I am today. I know the ins and outs of dog behavior, have dabbled in puppy training, and am accustomed to senior dog care. I look forward to getting to meet each of your furry friends! I am currently a full time student, my daily schedule is built around my classes. However, I have multiple gaps in the day and am readily available to help throughout the day for walks or check ins. I am flexible with talking about schedules and can work with anything! I am very attentive to what each pet needs and will adhere to what you know best about your home. I am comfortable crating dogs, taking them out for walks often if a yard isn't available, and even just caring for them inside. I don't have a house that allows taking in pets but I can care in the best way for your house.

As a grad student, I have an extremely flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate! I’m available most weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. My classes take up a small portion of my week, which means more playtime and cuddles for your pet! My priority is making sure every pet feels safe and cared for while maintaining the routine they’re used to. I follow instructions closely regarding feeding, exercise, meds, crate routines, and any other specific needs. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and in good hands while you’re away.

About: I love treating all dogs like my own…and they love it too! From puppies to seniors, they will be taken care of with great expertise and care from me. I love to take my time to get to know their quirks and send you lots of pictures of them while you’re out! I am currently working 2 part-time jobs, both nearby in the Chapel Hill/Durham area. I am excited to find another flexible job that fills me with joy, too. I will listen to your requests on your preferences for your pup. I am happy to let them out in a fenced yard or leash them for potty breaks, play with a ball or toy to get out some energy, or walk and sniff to explore the neighborhood.

About: I grew up in a home full of pets, so caring for dogs has always been a part of my daily life. I have years of hands-on experience walking dogs, providing playtime and companionship, and making sure they feel safe and loved. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve also dog-sat for friends and family, giving me experience with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always focus on making their time with me fun, comfortable, and stress-free. I am currently interning part-time in Manteo, so I am available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, and my schedule is open during all other days of the week. I care for pets by following their usual routines as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. For walks and drop-in visits, I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention while always prioritizing their safety. I’m careful with leashes, aware of their surroundings, and attentive to each dog’s energy level and needs. In a client’s home, I treat both the pets and the space with respect—keeping areas clean, refreshing food and water, and making sure pets are happy and relaxed before I leave. About: I have two cats and a small dog at home that I bathe, walk, clean up after and cuddle! I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding kennel. About: I’ve on and off taken care of pets of my friends and family since middle school, and my love for animals has yet increased! I also have a little dog of my own, and caring for her has been a pleasure. Currently, I am a college student attending UNC-Chapel hill! When I am caring for your pets in your home my priority is maintaining their familiar routine to keep stress levels low. ----- Dogs ----- Safety & Exercise: During walks, I always use a leash and practice defensive walking. This means if I see another dog approaching, I will cross the road or move off the sidewalk with your pup to prevent potential conflict or overstimulation. If your dog prefers a faster pace, I’m happy to go for a run with them. I also always supervise backyard time if you have a fenced backyard area. Playtime: For high-energy pups, I'm happy to play with them using their favorite toys. For older pups, I can do gentle playtime and always love couch snuggles (only if they’re allowed on the furniture!). Crating: I follow your house rules. I do not typically use crates unless specifically requested as part of your training or safety routine. ----- Cats ----- Safety & trust: I will follow your cats' lead. I never pick up cats or invade their personal space unless invited by them. If they want to play or receive cuddles, I will be honored to do so! Indoor/outdoor dynamics: I have experience working with indoor and indoor/outdoor cats. Cleanliness & feeding: I clean litter boxes as soon as they're soiled, and will follow your feeding instructions. I've worked with cats that free-feed and those that have scheduled feedings.

About: Hello! My name is Rylie, and I’m a Ph.D. student with a lifelong love of animals! I’ve had pets of all shapes and sizes from the time I was little, ranging from tiny budgies and pint-sized Pomeranians to 120lb Great Danes. In addition to cats and dogs, I have extensive experience caring for a range of small animals and pets, including birds, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets, turtles, geckos, fish, and even shrimp! I’ve also done work in wildlife rescue and research, volunteering with bird banding and conservation efforts. I have experience with a wide variety of petsitting formats— I’ve done both long-term and short-term housesitting, drop-ins, and dog walking (my favorite!). In short, I’m a flexible, versatile, and experienced sitter, who is here to help with whatever pet care needs you may have! DISCOUNT! If you don’t require overnight care, I provide a discount for daytime-only housesitting (12 hours of care, typically 8am-8pm, or as needed). If this seems like a good fit for you, shoot me a message! About: I have always grown up with animals. In my house I had four dogs and one cat and have always loved to take care of them. I also love to be outside so would be willing to take long walks or go to dog parks. I am currently a graduate student at UNC with lots of free time for dog walking or pet sitting opportunities. I live in an apartment with other animal lovers so overnight visits wouldn’t be an issue. I am very clean and organized and would be extremely careful pet sitting in another persons home. I would prefer dog walking or stop in visits.
