About: My family has always had dogs, 2-3 at a time, and always large (German Shepards or Labs). I have dog sat for neighbors, relatives, and friends - all dogs great and small! I don't mind to get a little dirty, I'm ready to walk and play all day long. I work part-time, but am very flexible and can work to fit your needs. I am pretty much available any day of the week Monday-Sunday, and typically work between the hours of 10am-8pm. I am happy to work earlier or later if necessary! I am currently not offering boarding in my own home but am open to doing stop-in visits in a clients home, no problem there!

About: Hello! Thank you for considering me to care for your furry family members. My guiding principle is to treat every pet in my care with the same love and attention I give my own elderly Greyhound and sweet tabby cat. Regardless of whether I am there for drop-ins or house-sitting, my goal is to ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for young, high-energy cats and dogs as well as senior pets, and I adjust my caregiving style according to your pets' needs. More details about my cat care experience and safety principles are provided in the Details tab. Scheduling: I just finished my Ph.D. program and am in the process of applying for jobs. That means I have a flexible schedule for you and your pets! I can provide daily drop-ins for any amount of days, or can stay in your home with your pet(s) for up to 4 days. When I am caring for your pets in your home my priority is maintaining their familiar routine to keep stress levels low. ----- Dogs ----- Safety & Exercise: During walks, I always use a leash and practice defensive walking. This means if I see another dog approaching, I will cross the road or move off the sidewalk with your pup to prevent potential conflict or overstimulation. If your dog prefers a faster pace, I’m happy to go for a run with them. I also always supervise backyard time if you have a fenced backyard area. Playtime: For high-energy pups, I'm happy to play with them using their favorite toys. For older pups, I can do gentle playtime and always love couch snuggles (only if they’re allowed on the furniture!). Crating: I follow your house rules. I do not typically use crates unless specifically requested as part of your training or safety routine. ----- Cats ----- Safety & trust: I will follow your cats' lead. I never pick up cats or invade their personal space unless invited by them. If they want to play or receive cuddles, I will be honored to do so! Indoor/outdoor dynamics: I have experience working with indoor and indoor/outdoor cats. Cleanliness & feeding: I clean litter boxes as soon as they're soiled, and will follow your feeding instructions. I've worked with cats that free-feed and those that have scheduled feedings.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience with both senior dogs and puppies. I grew up caring for my neighbors' dogs, trained my own dog as a puppy, and I currently care for a senior dog, so I understand their special needs. I’m also familiar with managing different pet temperaments and have experience caring for my own cat, which has given me a well-rounded ability to handle various pets. I’m confident I can provide the attentive, loving care each animal deserves. I have a few part time jobs that allow me extra time to hang out with your animals. I also have weekend and evening flexibility. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, safety and trust are my top priorities. I ensure the environment is pet-proofed and provide plenty of space for exercise, play, and rest. I follow any specific care instructions, from feeding schedules to medications.

About: I grew up with an home full of pets and have two sweet kitties right now. From experience, I know that leaving your pets in someone else’s hands can be stressful. I always keep owners in the loop with photos and updates. I make sure to play with them and keep them active while you’re gone! I love taking dogs on walks and exploring new areas. My dogs growing up were scavengers, so I am extremely vigilant to make sure your home is safe for your pets and am a double and triple checker when caring for your fur babies. I have an extremely flexible WFH schedule and am able to stay at your home for long periods and spend time with your pets, do drop ins, and take them on long walks! My schedule is up to date. I work from home, but have to travel in WNC for some events (never overnight). I am able to work from your home if you need someone there most of the day and will make sure to communicate when I am traveling. I am vigilant about making sure things that pets shouldn’t get into are put away and inaccessible. I always keep the home I am clean and orderly and make sure to communicate with owners about accidents and clean them up!

About: I’ve been dog-sitting for the past four years, and I grew up with multiple Australian Shepherds in my house. I am a big runner and love taking dogs hiking and running with me too. This past summer I worked as a vet tech at an animal hospital back home in Nashville and raised a new puppy of my own. I have dog sat for new puppies and older dogs with multiple medications/ointments and everything in between! I am currently a student at UNC Chapel Hill so I am in class for about 4 hours/day, but other than that my schedule is very flexible. I cannot care for pets in my home currently, but in clients’ homes I make sure to spend time with the animals and usually play with them in the yard (if possible) and take them on walks around the neighborhood or drive them to the park to go for a hike.

About: My neighbors trust me to take care of their furry friends when needed. I’ve since moved away for college and hope to meet more pet parents through Rover! I’m currently studying for the MCAT part-time, so my schedule is flexible and I am free to take care of your pet any day of the week! I can easily stay overnight and or simply go for a walk. I live in a pet-friendly townhome with my sister who also loves animals. We have a spacious living room that can accommodate a crate and an unfenced yard.

About: I’ve helped many of my friends with pet care, including dog walking and overnight stays, often just because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Through these experiences, I’ve gained a lot of hands-on practice with walking dogs, playing with them, and making sure they get the exercise and attention they need. I’ve also been involved in some stray animal rescue efforts, which gave me additional experience caring for animals with different temperaments and needs. In addition to cats and dogs, I’ve personally cared for several other pets over the years, including rabbits, lizards, and hamsters. Because of this, I’m comfortable around many kinds of animals and understand that each one has their own personality and care routine. Taking care of animals is something I truly enjoy, and I always try to make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m graduating soon and just finished my clinical rotation, so starting after spring break (March 17) my schedule will be very flexible. I’m generally available Monday–Thursday from 5 PM to 10 PM, and Friday–Sunday I’m available all day. I prefer confirming bookings at least three days in advance when possible, but last-minute requests are also welcome. Honestly, those are always a fun surprise for me because I truly love spending time with animals! My top priority is always making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, playtime, （and litter box cleaning if my client is a cat). Keeping their normal environment and routine helps pets feel more secure. I keep the home tidy, double check doors and safety, and I’m careful about preventing escape risks. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so owners can relax knowing their pets are safe and well cared for.

About: I’ve had pets all my life, but didn’t have dogs too until 7 years ago. Since then I have found the ability to manage 4 pets all together and make sure they have equal amount of love and attention that they deserve. I’m currently looking for a full time job, as I have just graduated college. Since I’m a big animal lover, with 4 pets myself, I’m looking to spend some of my free time taking care of animals- because what’s better than hangouting with our 4 legged friends. I have a spacious backyard where my pets play. As well as in my neighborhood I am able to take them on walks on the sidewalk. Near my neighborhood is also the Carolina Forest, where I take my dogs for walks frequently.

I live in a townhome neighborhood with lots of room to walk and a green space in the back. I work at a computer and take regular breaks to move around and check on my cat and other pets that I am hosting. I usually sit on the floor while I work so dog friends and other cuddly pets can sit near me if they want and get pets and attention any time. My space is clean and calm with room for pets to move around freely or rest on a comfy couch or pet bed.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats as pets my entire life, including my current cat, Bandit! I worked in a veterinarian office throughout high school, assisting in the administration of medications and care of animals preparing for/recovering from surgical procedures. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters throughout college, as well as pet sitting for friends, and love caring for animals! I am a recent college graduate and do not start my full-time job until October, so I am highly available for the summer to help care for pets. I have a ton of walking trails near my house and am very happy to walk (or even run, for our high energy furbabies!) as much as your pet desires. My current cat is quite shy, so I am unable to host pets for stays at my house.
