“Heather is truly a one-of-a-kind dog sitter. She cared for my dog Rulo with such genuine love and attention that I felt completely at ease while I was away. Not only did she keep me updated and make sure all his needs were met, but she went above and beyond—she even baked him a dog-friendly cake for his birthday! It’s clear that Heather treats the dogs she watches as if they were her own. Rulo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly adored his time with her. I couldn’t recommend Heather more highly to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and thoughtful sitter. She’s the best!”

“Alice responded to questions quickly and sent photos of our two pups while she was caring for them. It was their first first time belng left with someone else, so she understood they might be apprehensive. She communicated observations with us, which we appreciated. We were. grateful for her help while we had to be away for meetings. We did tip her when we picked up our pups.”

“Vanessa was very accommodating with our ever changing drop off and pick up times. We will definitely ask Vanessa to care for our senior dog Millie the next time we're in the Durham area.”

“Evie and Fritz are truly the best dog sitters I have ever used! Our dog Harper is usually very uncomfortable around new people and does not tend to do well when we go on trips. I could tell very early on that she looked happy and relaxed with them after being there for only about a day. They made a clear effort to get to know Harper and make her as comfortable as possible and sent me so many photos and video to keep me updated on how she was doing. Highly highly highly recommend Evie and Fritz, we will definitely be a repeat customer!!!”

“Gregg took great care of our 4-year-old Lab mix who is a high-energy handful at times. We're grateful for the holiday trip we were able to take and the new canine friends our dog made.”

“We were so lucky to have Cathy! Our dog is a bit nervous about new situations, so we told Cathy that it would take a couple days before she would warm up. Three hours later, Cathy sent us a picture of her cuddled up on the couch. Our pup clearly felt right at home and our vacation was stress-free as a result. Thank you Cathy!”

“Megan stepped up and watched my girls after just a few hours notice after my other rover canceled 6 hours before drop off. My girls had a great time with her and even my shy girl Luna warmed up and felt comfortable with Megan. Will be letting them visit often during my future travels.”

“Denise was great! She sent me pictures and updates. I knew that.Kornwallis was well cared for. Her own dog Grover Cleveland was a perfect host. We would definitely recommend Denise and will use her in the future! Kornwallis approve this message!”

“I can’t thank Cherie and her family enough for taking such great care of my dogs. They are very anxious and not always easy, but she showed them so much patience, kindness, and love. Knowing they were with someone so sweet gave me such peace of mind. Highly recommended and will definitely be bringing my boys back!”

“Ashleigh and Jason were amazing! My sweet Izzy was taken into their home like a member of their own family. It was her first stay with them and they made me feel at ease providing updates and sending pictures regularly. When I picked her up I could tell immediately that she was happy and so well loved and taken care of while I was away. Highly recommend Ashleigh and Jason, Izzy will be back with them in July for our next vacation!”

“Denise helped us out last minute due to a family emergency. We have never had anyone else other than family watch our two doodles with separation anxiety. Denise completely put our minds and hearts at ease upon meeting her. She was incredibly kind, compassionate and communicative during their stay. She went out of her way to make sure they felt comfortable, loved and were eating which is something they struggle with when in a new environment. She sent us daily detailed updates and pictures which was amazing. We are so thrilled to have found her as she provided a loving safe space for our dogs while we were away. We will definitely be rebooking in the future for all our future needs!”

“Ashlee is always great with my pet and I will continue to book her! She is flexible and took him early and kept him an hour late because i got stuck in traffic. My dog always is well taken care of with her!”

“Alissa was wonderful! Very communicative, punctual, professional, and considerate. I felt so at ease with my cats in her care. Plan on booking with her again next time I need cat care.”

About: I grew up with dogs, but in high school I made a good relationship with my aunt’s cat and started learning the differences in care that cats need. In college I started looking after my friends’ cats when they needed it, and it wasn’t until I graduated that I was able to get a kitten of my own. I am now raising a mediumhair dilute tortie (featured in my profile). I can’t wait to meet your cats and abide their demands.

“Dafna arrived on time every day and was easy and pleasant to communicate with. She followed my instructions and made an effort to interact with my sometimes skittish kitties! I will definitely rebook in the future.”

“Autumn is becoming my kitty’s other Mom. He loves being with her and all her pets. She puts up with his annoying kitten behaviors and always keeps me updated. I don’t know what I’d do without her!”

“Aspen was SO amazing! She was ultra-communicative, took incredible care of our kitties, and is just a super sweet person. We highly recommend anyone looking for pet care to use Aspen!”

“Eva is absolutely wonderful! My dog is usually a bit uneasy around new people, but within five minutes of meeting Eva, he was completely calm—she just has an incredibly soothing disposition. Not only is she fantastic with animals, but she’s also an incredibly reliable and flexible professional. When we missed our flight, she stepped in at the very last minute to cover an extra shift without hesitation. We felt so comfortable knowing our dog was in such great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Natalie was GREAT!! Our cats LOVED her, probably more than they like us even! She was able to coax our very curmudgeonly elderly cat out from her hiding place and interact with her on each of the home visits! Natalie took great photos and shared pertinent and expansive notes about her home visits, too, which put us at ease as we vacationed. Would definitely book again! (Oh, and she brought in our delivered packages while we were away, without prompting, which was much appreciated!)”

“Andrew was wonderful with our cats. They were very content when I got home. He’s super communicative and sent messages and pictures every day so I knew the kitties were doing well while I was gone. I highly recommend using Andrew for your pet sitting!”

“Meaghan was extremely attentive to my cats behavior and needs, and was extremely responsive and communicative via the Rover app. I truly appreciated her thoroughness, care and love she gave my kitties!”

“Ria took excellent care of my cat, she brought him a toy and treats, kept the litter box extremely clean, and even watched him over Christmas. He looked so happy in all the photos she shared. I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve been dog-sitting for the past four years, and I grew up with multiple Australian Shepherds in my house. I am a big runner and love taking dogs hiking and running with me too. This past summer I worked as a vet tech at an animal hospital back home in Nashville and raised a new puppy of my own. I have dog sat for new puppies and older dogs with multiple medications/ointments and everything in between! I am currently a student at UNC Chapel Hill so I am in class for about 4 hours/day, but other than that my schedule is very flexible. I cannot care for pets in my home currently, but in clients’ homes I make sure to spend time with the animals and usually play with them in the yard (if possible) and take them on walks around the neighborhood or drive them to the park to go for a hike.

“Rosa is very reliable and good at taking care of my two cats. She definitely cares about them and enjoys what she does, which is greatly appreciated. Will use her services again for sure!”

“Alexandria (Lexi) was absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to work with! She took the time to schedule a quick visit/meet and greet prior to fully booking availability. She followed any and all instructions left and asked all of the proper questions. During the duration of my booking she provided very detailed updates on how my cats were doing and plenty of photos and videos as well. Very professional and prompt communication. 5/5 stars and has earned herself a repeat customer!”

“Kind, caring and very reliable dog sitters. Our little pup always came back seeming happy and well cared for and would pull on the leash to get back into their house the second time around. Fantastic!”

“Can I give six stars?? Evie and Fritz provided the exact care we were looking for. Great spaces for playing and cuddling, steady stream of attention, and pure love for dogs. When our pup got too distracted to eat dinner, they sat with her to make sure she was fully fed. Highly recommend and cannot wait to book with them again!”

About: Growing up with parents that loved to pick up strays my love for animals came naturally. I grew up taking care of dogs and cats from all different shapes and sizes. My favorite lesson in life is that a man’s best friend is their pet. I want to help pet parents take the best care of their best friend while they are away! I am currently in college taking evening classes so i have my whole morning off to spend with your furry friends!! I enjoy going on nature walks and nothing would make me happier then to have your furry friend accompanying me I enjoy taking dogs to doggy parks or nature walks. Every dog is different so not all walks look the same. I like to encourage exercise and play time in my time with them as well as some downtime and bonding.

About: Hi! I'm a full time stay at home mom of two kids and a pet parent of two furry family members, Togo (our beloved dog) and Ninja our cat. Animals are a huge part of our everyday life and I know how important it is to find someone reliable and caring to look after your pet because I want the same level of care for my own. I've always loved animals and caring for them has naturally become part of my everyday life. Along with several years of dog walking and pet sitting experience, I volunteer with local dog shelters where I've successfully completed different training programs in dog behavior, safe handling and basic obedience. I'm comfortable working with dogs of all sizes including rescue dogs who may need extra patience and love. Since I'm home full time your pet gets lots of attention throughout the day, frequently potty breaks, playtime, walks, cuddles and lots of love. I stick closely to routines, follow your instructions and pay attention to body language so your pet feels safe and comfortable. I love sending photos updates and messages so you can see how things are going while you're away. My goal is simple: give your pet loving, reliable care and treat them like part of our family. I'm currently a stay home mom of two kids (10 and 13) and our two furry best friends Togo and Ninja. I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets and give them the attention they need. I have a big fenced yard and a gentle, funny and loving dog, Togo and our cat Ninja who likes to sleep all day long!
“Adrian is the best! He is super communicative and sends lots of pictures of your fur baby throughout the day so you can see what they’re up to! My dog has separation anxiety and requires extra care, and Adrian was super attentive, making sure that she was comfortable and happy all day long. We will definitely be back!”

“We are so thrilled to have found Cynthia! She clearly is a dog lover, AND she knows how to work well with dogs in terms of discipline, understanding them, etc. Our dog needs a lot of exercise and he is getting it! Cynthia has our highest recommendation.”

“Shannon did an incredible job taking care of our pup, Theo, for multiple daycare stays. She kept me updated with how he was adjusting + the best pictures/videos, shared homemade treats, and took him on regular walks. I appreciated that she works from home and could quickly tell she’s a natural dog person who just gets it. Not to mention her home is a dog’s paradise with a large fenced in backyard, gated front porch away from a main road, and the sweetest easy-going dogs of her own that welcomed Theo with open paws. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook with Shannon & would whole heartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter. I truly felt like she treated Theo as her own 🩵”

About: Hi! My name is Emily, and I’d love the opportunity to care for your dog! Growing up, I helped care for my family’s two Goldendoodles, Zoey and Bella. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with medical needs and administering medications when necessary. I’m currently a graduate student at UNC Chapel Hill with a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pup the attention and care they deserve. I’m detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable following specific routines to ensure your dog feels safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. About: Dogs are the center of my universe. I've spent the past 4 years as a local and state lobbyist to pass humane legislation that protects both dogs and cats. It's not just a job, it's my life's purpose. I recently lost both of my dogs, and I miss them every single day. Spending time with dogs isn't just something I enjoy, it's something I need. I don't have any pets right now and I would love to have a furry friend to keep me company. I love to get down on their level for kisses, let them sniff the grass, and just give them the freedom to just be a dog. I'd be honored to give your dog the same love and care I gave mine, and to get a little of that joy back in return. I am currently retired and can be available any day of the week after 10:00 a.m.. I am also available as late as 9:00 p.m.. I currently do not have any pets which makes my apartment ideal for dogs who need one-on-one attention. My lease does not allow overnight visits but daytime visits are perfectly okay.
“Jennifer was great!! She took wonderful care of my dog and was very kind, communicative, an easy-going. Maya loved playing with her daughter and dog Lucy. I could she understands and loves dogs. I will definitely book with her again.”

“Jessica is amazing with Sydney! She sends me updates throughout the day of Sydney's adventures meeting new pups or going on walks with friends. Always fun to see those while I'm working. Jessica has been very flexible and receptive if work requires more of my time. Highly recommend!”

My schedule is quite open currently and I would love to spend time with animals of all kind! I'm currently teaching part time (T/Th 930-12pm). Otherwise, my schedule is quite open for dog walks, dog/cat visits, and other fun stuff! I will always be very diligent with any pet care issues. My partner works at a vet, therefore, I have quick access to help and am able to ask them questions regarding any animal health issues.
About: I will care for your dogs the same way I’d want mine treated. I grew up with dogs throughout my whole life (ranging from 30lbs to 120lbs), and my neighbors often ask me to look after their pets whenever they need help. I have a wide range of experience with looking after pets including cats, dogs, snakes, and lizards. I will make sure your dogs feel happy and heard. I am currently a master’s student at UNC Gilling’s, so I’m free for pet care whenever I’m not in classes. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays after 2pm, but feel free to ask about whatever time works best for you. I will treat your property with the utmost respect. I am comfortable putting your pets in their crate as well. I am very accountable and will ensure everything is as it was left.

“Rylie is amazing! She asked lots of questions to make sure my dog would have a great time with her. He’s a big dog (German Shepherd), and she completely understands the behavior and energy level of big, high-energy dogs!”

“Amanda is a fantastic dog walker and partner in helping to train our dogs. She worked to understand where we were at with training our dogs and helped to complement that with the time she spent walking and gave us great suggestions on improving our own training.”

About: I absolutely love taking care of animals and have pet sat for neighbors and friends for years! I have an open schedule this summer, so I am very flexible with my availability and can build my schedule around your needs. I’m currently planning to work several babysitting and pet sitting jobs during my summer break! Because of this, I can build my schedule from week to week and adapt to the needs of your pet and their schedule! In a clients home I am attentive to your pets needs and love to send pics of your fur baby! Expect many updates, walks, and play time for your pet. I also value cleanliness and will ensure that your pet and their area is kept clean!

Rosa sent a photo and update with every walk, which gave us so much peace of mind. Moose was clearly well cared for, and we would highly recommend Rosa and book her again.”

About: Dogs have been apart of my life for many years. I’ve been a dog owner for four years and have spent a decade pet sitting for friends and family. More recently, I’ve provided in-home care for a senior dog while their family travels, ensuring they remaining comfortable and maintained their regular schedule in a familiar environment. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and reliable to care for your pet. I work full time, however I have flexible evening schedule after 6:00pm and I am available on both Saturdays and Sunday with morning, afternoon and evening walking hours. I also have more available schedule on Tuesdays with more flexibility. As a dog walker I keep your dog safe by walking them on a lease at all times in the designated areas that your dog is familiar walking.
“Lauren has been walking my two pups several times a week for the last few months. She’s flexible and communicative about scheduling. After a walk, she always provides a great detailed update that confirms just how observant and caring she is about each of the pups’ quirks and needs. I would absolutely recommend Lauren to anyone who wants to know their furry family members are in great hands, for visit, a walk or a trip!”
About: I’ve always loved being around animals, and I take pet care seriously because I know people are trusting me with a member of their family. Through my work with Lux’s Purpose, a nonprofit that raises and trains service dogs for children with pediatric cancer and chronic illness, I’ve helped socialize, care for, and support the early training of future service dogs. That experience taught me the importance of consistency, patience, clear routines, and close attention to a dog’s body language. I’m an active UNC student, so I’m especially happy to help with dogs who need walks, exercise, and structured care. I’m responsible, careful with instructions, and comfortable following routines for feeding, medications, crate rules, leash habits, or quiet time. I’ll communicate clearly, send updates, and make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and respected while you’re away. I’m a full-time UNC student, but my schedule is very flexible and includes plenty of breaks between classes. A quick bike ride to check in on a pet, go for a walk, or provide care is a perfect way for me to spend that time. While my class schedule varies by day, I am generally not unavailable for more than about four hours at a time. I’m happy to coordinate around your pet’s routine and make sure they get consistent attention, exercise, and care throughout the day. For walks and drop-in visits, I care for pets in their own home environment and follow the owner’s instructions closely. I’ll respect your home, keep doors and gates secure, use the leash or harness setup you prefer, and make sure your pet is safe before I leave. I’m careful about routines, feeding instructions, medications, crate rules, and any special boundaries your pet needs. I also pay attention to body language and will not force interaction if a pet seems nervous or overstimulated. I’ll send clear updates so you know your pet is safe, cared for, and comfortable.
“Alessandra is a GEM! She is kind and gentle and knows how to make our anxious little dog feel safe. She is very conscientious and made sure she understood the details of Lou's routine (including his medication), which put me completely at ease. Alessandra gives our dog the same loving care that we do, and I'm so glad to have found her!”

I have been responsible for feeding, walking, bathing, etc. I have watched older pets, as well as ones with medical needs. I have watched cats, dogs, bunnies, geckos/lizards, and birds. I have been working part time as a barista and am a recent graduate from ECU! I am flexible & reliable. I am looking to make some extra cash before pursuing higher education and would love to spend time with your pet(s)! I follow whatever instructions and routines are already established for the pets. I am detail oriented and am dedicated to the safety of the pets & overall cleanliness.

About: Growing up, I was always the person that friends and neighbors called when they needed someone to care for their furry friends. I’ve looked after dogs with all sorts of personalities, including seniors who benefit from extra patience and attention. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I focus on providing reliable care, sticking to routines, and keeping owners updated every step of the way! As a grad student, I have an extremely flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate! I’m available most weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. My classes take up a small portion of my week, which means more playtime and cuddles for your pet! My priority is making sure every pet feels safe and cared for while maintaining the routine they’re used to. I follow instructions closely regarding feeding, exercise, meds, crate routines, and any other specific needs. I understand that every animal is different, so I take time to learn their personalities and boundaries. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and in good hands while you’re away.
About: Owners and animals will love my service because I'm very hands on and love to engage with the animals. I have two dogs and two cats of my own who are extremely well behaved with other animals. I've worked with dogs In particular in the past and found a passion with it. It doesn't matter if it's big dogs or small, I love to meet and interact with new animals. I have worked with aggressive breeds in the past so I know how to engage and interact with different breeds and needs. I know not all dogs are the same and each dog requires different techniques for that dog to feel safe and comfortable with a stranger. I feel confident with my ability to walk or sit most dogs. I have open availability for anyone's needs! All I ask is you reach out ahead of time just incase I have anything else booked. I follow the guidelines set by the owners. Each pet is individual and requires certain attention. My job isnt to change the comfortability or routines you have set for your animals. About: I've taken care of animals my whole life -- I grew up with 2-4 dogs in the house at any given time, and I've had my own cat Olive for 3 years now. I love to be around animals, and I'm excited to care for yours like they're mine while you're away! I'm working part-time at the moment, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pet, especially in the afternoons and evenings. I am also more than happy to accommodate for multiple visits per day. Safety, conscientiousness, and cleanliness are at the center of my pet care ethos. About: I’ve spent my whole life around animals since I was a kid. That being said, I’m comfortable around dogs, cats, exotic pets, birds, reptiles- you name it, I’m a huge animal lover! When I moved away for college I brought my childhood dog with me who I had since she was a puppy. Unfortunately she faced some health issues as she got older, but I was lucky enough to be able to care for her until she was 17! Because of my time spent with her, I am comfortable and experienced with dogs from the puppy age to seniors, have administered pills and topical medication numerous times, have no problem with bathing and grooming, etc. I also fostered a dog and started up my rover after my dog passed and since then I’ve had the pleasure of caring for many more fur babies. No pet is a challenge for me! I work full time during the week, but am looking to fill my free time with a serotonin boost from your pup! I love dogs and as a dog owner, I know that it’s sometimes hard to fit 3 walks a day into a crazy packed schedule, or spontaneously take a day trip somewhere, so I’d like to help! I am typically available for evening walks during the week but and completely flexible on weekends! It is my goal to ensure you that I will be respectful of your home and privacy, as well as your dogs normal schedule. I am reliable and trust worthy, and can adapt to any dogs personality, whether they are shy, reactive, hyper, or sleepy! I’ve walked dogs as small as 5 pounds to as big as 90, so no dog will be a challenge! I’m very attentive while on walks to make sure your dog does not hurt themself/ eat something they shouldn’t/ mess with another dog. I can be flexible with any precautions I’d need to take with your dog whether that be medication, assistance with mobility or anything else! Your dogs comfort is my first priority!
“Tori and her family took such great care of our small older dog who has some health issues including med administration needs and occasional pain due to previous cancer. Everything from getting holly to their home (Tori last minute offered to pick Holly Up and this was a godsend because our trip was last minute and we were trying to coordinate many other things) to start her visit to pick up and updates in between were great. Her sons are very gentle and natural animal lovers so that was not any concern even though our dog generally prefers calm environments. I would highly recommend Tori and her family for caring for your pet!”
