“Sarah took great care of our boy Phil and gave him his meds! She took great photos and even included our cat post in the living even though he wasn’t on the booking. 10/10 will book again”

“Thank you always for taking such great care of my babies!!!! I’m so grateful for your flexibility too , especially that you were able to help last minute! Thank you again!!!”

“This was my first time booking with Rover and I’m very happy with how it turned out all thanks to Emily! She took lots of photos, let me know how the time went with Birdie and I will definitely be reaching out to Emily for future visits.”

“We have a needy Shar pei. Very uncomfortable with people she doesn’t know. We’ve never had a sitter or walker because of that. Jordan is patient and she gets good vibes from him. We went away over night and she did fine! We are thankful for Jordan’s patience with her.”

About: I grew up with a dog and have always loved being around them. Over the years, I have dog sat for many friends and family, as well as care for my roommates’ dog on a regular basis. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime and sticking to routines. I love getting to know different animals and making them feel loved, safe, and well-cared for while their owners are away. I currently work full-time so I am available after 5:30pm Monday-Thursdays and Fridays after 3:30pm. I am also available on most weekends. I may have more flexibility depending on the day and how much notice I have. Most pets are happiest at home so I can care for them in your home according to your specific care instructions. I recognize that everyone is different and requires unique care and attention
“Rodrigo was able to come do a drop-in for me very last-minute. He was very responsive, prompt, and punctual and I really appreciated his help! My dogs were happy upon my return and it was such a relief. Would definitely hire again.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 9. My friends, neighbors, and other family members have entrusted me with their furry friends! I have two dogs of my own. Allie is my sweet 10 year old beagle and Luke is my silly little (but big) 6 year old yellow lab. They have taught me how to have patience with dogs and to know when it’s time to play or nap. I have some level of pet training with having to train my dogs with simple commands from when they were puppies. I have dogs of different sizes that I also taught me how to take care of dogs of all shapes and sizes. I will love and care for your pets as well as attend to the environment around them. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and dogs who need a little more attention then others. I am committed to making not only your pet but also you feel comfortable and trusted with me. I am currently a part time employee at American Eagle so I will have plenty of time to play and hang out with your furry friends. I am also a student at UNC which allows me to create a flexible schedule to accommodate all of your pet’s needs. In my own home I care for my pets by playing with them, feeding them on time, taking them on walks after each meal and during the day to help them get exercise. I also care for my pets by being in the same room as them so that they feel loved. In a clients home, I strive to treat each pet as if it was my own, by providing for them the same as I provide for my dogs.
About: I've taken care of pets, more specifically dogs since I got my dog, and have cared for my best friend ever since. Recently I also got an adorable stubborn little huge puppy that I have love taking care of. I'm currently working part-time so I will have plenty of time to take care of your best friends! I am more specifically available a lot during the day and evening! I will do everything I can do and am ask to do to make sure your pets are kept safe and have a fun time!
“As always Hannah was super responsive and a great communicator. The report card photos always reassure me the animals are getting the best care. Highly recommend!”

“Allison is amazing!! After reading all her great reviews and our first meet-up, I knew without a doubt that I picked the best sitter! Roscoe had 2 surgeries on April 18th, and needs some extra post-surgery care with extra feedings and potty breaks while we are at work. Allison did two twice a day drop-ins to help with Roscoe's needs and is doing again for us this week. We couldn't be happier!! She went above and beyond taking great care of Roscoe. Her professionalism and sweet caring heart does not go unnoticed! Roscoe said he can't wait to spend more time Allison when boarding is needed in the near future!”

“Kasey gave excellent care to my cat while we were out of town. It was also on a Holliday and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Our space was clean when we got home, and our cat fed and happy. Couldn’t ask for a better rover and would highly reccomend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Xeque was excellent with our kitties. She did great at keeping us updated on how they were doing and was very respectful! Highly recommend her services and will absolutely be reaching out again if ever needing services again!”

About: I’ve taken care of large breed dogs for the past 6 years. Additionally I have experience administering oral medication to dogs. Making sure that animals are completely comfortable in every interaction is my goal. I’m currently working part time for about 14 hours a week so my schedule is pretty flexible. I also have a form of reliable transportation for making house calls. I will follow any instructions set out by you. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Garner
This was our first time having Tori as our sitter and she was wonderful! She left detailed updates and photos after each visit. She was very attentive to the needs of our cat. Upon our initial meeting she was very friendly and engaging. Overall, a great experience. Thank you, Tori!
Erica was wonderful! She was very kind, reliable, and took great care of my cat while I was away. I really appreciated her updates and the peace of mind she provided throughout the stay. It was clear that she genuinely cared, and I would absolutely book her again. Highly recommend!

Hannah did a wonderful job taking care of my babies while I was out of town! My cats are very shy, and Hannah made sure to find them in their hiding spots, check on them, and ensure they were safe and taken care of. She made my vacation much more relaxing, and I loved seeing the daily pics of my cuties! 💕

I contacted Reagan on short notice (2 days) and thankfully she was able to help us. We communicated by text. She responded to my text in a timely manner, arrived on time, loved on my dogs, gave updates, and secured home. I look forward to working with Teagan in the future!
This was my first time using Rover and I feel so lucky to have picked Meredith as my first official cat sitter. She was punctual, followed all the really specific instructions for my picky cat, and sent the funniest and silliest pictures. She even folded the blankets on the couch. Literally an angel and as long as she is available, I can’t imagine using a different pet sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
