About: What makes me stand out as a pet sitter is my ability to connect with animals of all personalities and needs. Whether it's a playful kitten, a shy senior cat, or a mischievous puppy, I tailor my approach to ensure comfort and happiness! I am currently a student at North Carolina State University but have plenty of time throughout my day/week to tend to animals and take care of them whether planned far in advance or with short notice I will do my best to make time for clients and of course their pet(s)! When caring for pets, whether in my home or yours, I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a calm and comfortable environment for your furry friend. Here’s how I ensure their well-being: Routine & Comfort: I respect your home and your pet’s established routine. From feeding schedules to playtime and exercise, I make sure your pet’s day runs smoothly and comfortably. Safety First: I always keep doors and gates securely closed to prevent escapes or accidents. I also ensure that the environment is free from any hazards or potential dangers. Communication & Updates: I keep you informed with regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you're away, knowing your pet is safe and well-cared-for. Trust & Reliability: I build trust by being punctual, reliable, and transparent. I always follow specific instructions from pet owners, whether it's about feeding preferences, medical needs, or behavioral quirks.
About: Hey there! I’m Nikki, and the adorable doodle you see in the photos is, Bear… He is one loved pup and he certainly knows it (spoiled too)! Animals have always been one of my greatest passions. Growing up on a farm I was surrounded by many of all kinds. I’ve always been trusted with caring for family & friends pets, and Rover has been a great way to introduce Bear to some fur-friends of his own! I have experience working with puppies & those with a tad more energy than most, as well as caring for elderly pups who may require additional attention, including administering medication, vitamins, etc. During the work week, Bear and I go on walks in the morning and enjoy some much-loved playtime at the dog park located in our neighborhood. I work from the office Monday-Thursday and take an extended lunch break to allow time for a mid-day walk as well. In the evenings we typically do a longer walk around Lake Johnson, or head over to the big dog park at Lake Benson. We love being active outdoors! I tend to be a homebody on the weekends and the dogs in my care are rarely left alone, allowing for plenty of potty breaks and lots of extra love and attention! I have a large, open concept apartment, allowing the dogs full access to me at all times. There’s also a fenced in dog park located directly in our neighborhood... And a dog spa! When I do have to step out for a quick errand, I always ensure the pups are left alone in a safe environment, according to the needs of each dog (size, temperament, potty needs, etc.). My home is monitored by video cameras throughout the day to ensure the safety of the dogs in my care while I’m away at work.

“Trevor has been incredibly caring and loving to my puppy Leia, hes always been great, communicative and cared for her as well as I do. Would recommend trevor to anyone!”

About: Hello! My name is Bri. I’ve been caring for my own two dogs for the past two years, I have experience with daily care, exercise, routines, and understanding different dog personalities. I love animals and am dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and loving care. I understand how important pets are to their families and will treat your pets as if they were my own. I am currently going to school online, so I’ll be able to give your pup as much attention as they want during the time they are with me! I’ll be attending school part-time at night, so I have plenty of availability during the day for pet care, walks, and visits. I’m excited to spend my days caring for pets and making sure they receive the attention, exercise, and love they deserve! I do live in an apartment. However it does have a dog park. I have 2 dogs myself who love to play and can keep your dog company!
“Hannah was amazing with walking our little guy. She made time in her schedule to walk our sweet puppy around when normally not available. We were so appreciative of her doing that and our puppy benefited greatly as well! She has a caring heart for your pets and it shows by her sacrifice for us!”

“11/10 sitter! Danielle is communicative, consistent, and so loving to our girls. We have never had a sitter we trusted so much with their needs. Even with a shy gal, she was able to accommodate her and give her the best care ever!”

“I highly recommend Jordan as a dog sitter. They were reliable, and took great care of my dog while I was away. I was truly able to enjoy my vacation knowing my pet was in good hands. I will definitely use their services again in the future.”

“This was the 3rd (or 4th?) Time we've booked with Nicole. She's always easy to work with, timely, and send lots of pictures. She's always our first choice!”

“Xeque took such good care of my dog. After walking him she even threw the ball around in my backyard, which is his favorite thing to do. He was feeling sick and had an accident, she cleaned up after him even though that is not her job. Thank you so much for the excellent care. I will definitely be booking again.”

About: I have been petsitting and dog walking my neighborhood pets for several years and had the privilege to work as a research technician who helped in husbandry at UNC Chapel Hills Division of Comparative Medicine canine unit. I love making new furry friends and gaining experience to help my pre-veterinary journey as a college student! I am available every day of the week starting June 30th seeing that i am home for the summer from college. I am available during the hours of 8am-8pm and am interested in house sitting. I have a fenced yard for my dog to keep them from getting out and my cat is an inside cat who stay in the upstairs bedrooms

“Joan is very patient with my somewhat aggressive dog. She arrived on time everyday and was super sweet with Tiger. She really goes above and beyond to bond with Tiger. I am definitely booking with Joan in the future.”
About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities—from energetic puppies to senior pets—and started helping care for family pets around age 10. For the past 5 years, I’ve worked as a veterinary technician and was recently certified. My experience includes both emergency and general practice with small animals, along with some experience caring for exotic pets. This background has given me experience recognizing changes in behavior, administering medications, following medical instructions, and helping pets feel comfortable in new or stressful situations. In addition to working in veterinary medicine, my roommate and I have been fostering animals for the past 2 years through a local rescue. Fostering has allowed me to work with pets from many different backgrounds, personalities, and comfort levels while helping them adjust to new environments and build confidence. It’s been incredibly rewarding to help provide a safe, loving space while they wait to find their forever homes. One thing I take pride in is building trust with animals. Some pets warm up immediately and others need more time—and I’m happy to meet them where they are. I focus on making each pet feel safe, respected, and cared for at their own pace. When caring for your pet, I treat them like my own and make it a priority to follow your routine and preferences closely. Whether that means maintaining feeding schedules, medication routines, exercise needs, or simply keeping things familiar and comfortable, I aim to provide reliable, personalized care. I’d love the opportunity to get to know you and your pet and provide care you can feel confident in while you’re away. I currently work at an animal clinic in Holly Springs 4 days per week (typically 8:00 AM–7:00 PM, schedule may vary slightly). My lunch break is one hour (usually 1–2 PM or 2–3 PM), which allows flexibility for midday potty breaks and check-ins. Depending on your pet’s needs and comfort level, I may be able to: • Bring your dog with me to work (they would remain safely kenneled while I’m working and receive up to 3 potty breaks during my shift) • Stop by your home during my lunch break if you’re located within ~15 minutes of my workplace • Coordinate care plans ahead of time to make sure your pet’s routine is maintained Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, going on adventures with my own pup, and making sure pets in my care get quality attention, enrichment, and exercise. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my priority. Every animal is different, and I adjust my approach based on their personality and needs. If your dog is social and excited to meet new people, we’ll jump right into playtime, walks, and building trust. If your pet is more reserved or nervous, I’ll move at their pace and give them time and space to feel comfortable. I believe in creating positive experiences and respecting each pet’s boundaries. With my experience working in veterinary medicine, I’m comfortable monitoring behavior, recognizing changes, and following care instructions closely.
“Haley is very nice and respectful. She loved my son/dog as I do. I really enjoyed her walking and talking care of him on his walk. He definitely got a work out and loved it and took too Haley whenever she arrived. I will be getting her to walk Buddy again. I highly recommend. I can tell she loves animals. Buddy and I thank you very much.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Garner
We absolutely love our dog walker! Malak absolutely adores her, and I love that he gets daily walks and plenty of attention while I’m at work. I always receive the cutest pictures and videos. She is also incredibly accommodating and always goes above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend her more. 11/10 every time!

Megan always does a wonderful job walking Cooper when I’m at work! She is very communicative and provides an update about each visit and photos from the walk and/or playtime. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her when needed - today, she arrived to find that Cooper had gotten into the trash and littered it all over the downstairs. Without complaint or me having to ask her, she cleaned all the trash up while I was gone and then let me know what had taken place. This is just another one of many reasons I would highly recommend Megan if you’re ever in need of her services!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
