About: I grew up on a farm in Indiana. Animals have been a part of my life since I learned to walk. I have cared for animals, traveled with animals, and loved animals throughout my lifetime. I have potty-trained puppies for friends, and I have dog-sat, along with some exotic animal sitting, many times over my years. I have also cared for my aging pets as they transitioned from life. I recently retired from a career in teaching special education students. I have a husband who is willing to allow me to leave a week or so here and there, so I can house and pet-sit at this time if you're going on vacation. My schedule is open right now. I love to walk and hike. If your pet likes to go for walks, that is something that we will do daily, a few times a day, depending on weather. I play with animals, tug of war and fetch, and petting is essential. Pets require lots of love and attention in order to be healthy and happy.

So not only is pet care part of my instincts, my mom also was a dog groomer for years! Therefore I can care for a variety of breeds, which includes walking, bathing, medicating, and grooming. You name it, I can do it. Animals are like second nature to me, they bring out an extra loving, playful side that can make any day a good day.
