Nicole was very responsive and sent me lots of pet photos while I was away! She even included pictures of my cat who she was not being paid to take care of. She was very patient with my dog who tends to be scared of new people. I highly recommend Nicole!

Fang was a LIFESAVER. Last minute I asked him to take care of my puppy while I wasn’t home. He was trustworthy, prompt, responsive and even offered to take my older dog out as well. 10/10 and would use him in the future. Thanks for making my busy Sunday manageable, Fang!

About: I grew up on a farm in Indiana. Animals have been a part of my life since I learned to walk. I have cared for animals, traveled with animals, and loved animals throughout my lifetime. I have potty-trained puppies for friends, and I have dog-sat, along with some exotic animal sitting, many times over my years. I have also cared for my aging pets as they transitioned from life. I recently retired from a career in teaching special education students. I have a husband who is willing to allow me to leave a week or so here and there, so I can house and pet-sit at this time if you're going on vacation. My schedule is open right now. I love to walk and hike. If your pet likes to go for walks, that is something that we will do daily, a few times a day, depending on weather. I play with animals, tug of war and fetch, and petting is essential. Pets require lots of love and attention in order to be healthy and happy.

About: I have extensive experience working with animals, including working closely with veterinarians, fostering adoptable dogs, providing pet care for family and friends, and having many different kinds of furry family members over the years. Let my experience give you peace of mind while you’re away—your fur babies are in good hands. When you book me for pet sitting, your furry family member is absolutely the priority. Do they like to be active? Then that’s what we’re doing. Are they lazy? I can snuggle with the best of them. Do they need to go out often? Got it. Two walks a day? Done. Whatever it is, you can count on me to provide the best care for your best bud. My pet sitting (and boarding) spots have gone quickly so far, so if my availability matches your needs, send me a message and we can set up an initial meeting so you and your loved ones can meet me and we can all make sure I’m the right fit. While caring for your pets in your home, I can also water your plants, bring any packages inside, put trash bins at the curb if it’s trash day, etc. Just let me know what you need and I’ll let you know if I can help with it. I apply the same level of care to boarding. My fees are a little lower since I don’t have to travel to your pet, but in my home, your pet’s still my #1 priority. I provide the same attention I’d give them in your home if not more, because I know my environment isn’t the one they’re used to. Whether your furry fam needs a fun walk, a cozy place to stay, or loving care while you're away, I'll treat them with the same patience, kindness, and attention I'd give my own. Regardless if your pup is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, or a senior who enjoys a slower pace, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. You can count on me for reliable communication, photo updates, and plenty of cuddles, playtime, and exercise. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pet has a great experience. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pet and become someone you can trust whenever you need dependable, compassionate care. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits throughout the week. I do my best to work around your pet's routine to help them feel comfortable and keep their day as normal as possible. Whether you need regular care or last-minute help, I'll communicate promptly and do everything I can to meet your needs. When visiting your home, I leave no trace other than a happy pet. At my house, I have a fenced in yard, pool, dog door I can open or close if your pet isn’t good with those, treats, toys, and comfy spots to rest. The dog I had for 15 years (who recently passed) would absolutely vouch for these little sunny spots that show up in different parts of my house across the day. Regardless of location, I will stick to your pet’s schedule and make sure their needs are met.

I feel ccomfortable having her in my home and to care for my dog mid day when I can’t get home to take him out. Rover is a pretty amazing system as well!! Thanks Shana!!

Thank you so much for all you did! ❤️ I'm glad he was a good boy. Feel free to help work with him on no jumping. He does know sit and stay for when you leave too! I hope he didn't scratch you up or make bruises, he didn't mean to if he did.

Erin was absolutely AMAZING. I'm a new dog mommy and just adopted a resuce dog and was so afraid about her being home alone and feeling unloved. Erin came by and brought her own dog to help my Roxi adjust and have a play mate until I can get her in day care. She sent pictures and updates, gave treats, and food/ water. Roxi was absolutely delighted to have that play time while I was at work. Erin brought in my mail, was thorough, pleasant and trustworthy. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend her to anyone. As long as you don't take my time spot lol.

Alyssa was great with Koda! It’s been very difficult finding someone that we can trust with our best friend. Koda can be very stubborn at times and is very strong, so it takes someone special who understands dogs and can handle him. Koda was very excited when Alyssa would stop by to walk him! We’re very happy that we found Alyssa and look forward to having her walk Koda in the future. Highly recommend!

About: I was raised around lots of dogs, cats, and horses, so I can’t remember a time in my life there wasn’t a pet around. So not only is pet care part of my instincts, my mom also was a dog groomer for years! Therefore I can care for a variety of breeds, which includes walking, bathing, medicating, and grooming. You name it, I can do it. Animals are like second nature to me, they bring out an extra loving, playful side that can make any day a good day. I’m a college student, so my schedule can be a little hectic, but trust me.. if you love animals as much as I do, you know how to make time for them! Can’t wait to treat your best friend like they’re my own!

I had a wonderful experience using Jennifer as a dog walker for my dog, Remi. This was my first time using a dog-walking service, and she provided a lot of peace of mind while I was away for a few days. Remi really values the comfort and safety of being at home, so it meant a lot that he was able to stay in his familiar environment and still be well-cared for. Jennifer shared meaningful updates & photos throughout her visits and kept me informed every step of the way. She was also very courteous even bringing in a package for me while I was gone. She truly went above and beyond to make sure Remi was happy and comfortable. I will absolutely be using her services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog walker.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Willow Creek. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Willow Creek. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
