Al and Laura are wonderful with our super anxious dog Pepper. They are sweet and patient with her, and she has warmed up to both of them quickly just being with them on their walks while we are at work. She gets to spend the long weekend with them and I am absolutely sure she will be in wonderful hands and will have a great time with them and their sweet pups!

About: I have had the joy of pet sitting since I was a student in high school! I had clients within the community, friends, family, and even some of my own teachers. I have over 1,500 hours in animal/veterinary experience and worked with everything from cuddly kittens, dairy cows, and various species of birds! I am currently a full time student( soon to be on summer break). I am available for drop in's every 6-8 hours throughout the weekday. I am available for overnight stays everyday of the week! Walking hours are more readily available on the weekends. Because I have a furry friend of my own in would be in your pets best interest for me to watch them where they are already comfortable. I treat everyones pet with the upmost respect, love, and care because I know what it means to leave your pet in someone else's hands. I have an open communication work-style and do everything in the best interest of my client and their pet.

About: As a work-from-home professional, I can keep your fur baby company all day long, and check in multiple times a day. Does your energetic herding dog need twice-daily walks or visits to the dog park? No problem -- they're just like the Australian Shepherd I grew up with and the Rough Collie I petsit regularly. I am also an ardent cat lover with experience caring for my aging childhood cat (age 20+), as well as a skittish rescue with seasonal allergies. If you have a senior cat who needs extra care or shy kitten who needs daily medication, I'm the petsitter for you. I have an extremely flexible schedule and can accomodate boarding every day of the week. I'm also available for daycare across Raleigh, although I may have more limited availability on Wednesday and Thursday nights, as well as Sunday afternoons and evenings. Feel free to ask about my schedule! I live in a townhouse with a small, fenced-in patio and my one cat. She is typically kept in a separate part of the house during boarding, so I can accommodate animals who are reactive to cats. The yard is great for smaller dogs who enjoy being outside, but I can also care for larger animals who need lots of exercise!

Erin was absolutely AMAZING. I'm a new dog mommy and just adopted a resuce dog and was so afraid about her being home alone and feeling unloved. Erin came by and brought her own dog to help my Roxi adjust and have a play mate until I can get her in day care. She sent pictures and updates, gave treats, and food/ water. Roxi was absolutely delighted to have that play time while I was at work. Erin brought in my mail, was thorough, pleasant and trustworthy. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend her to anyone. As long as you don't take my time spot lol.

About: I have been around animals since I can remember. From caring for them, pet sitting for friends, and helping train behavioral pets. Pets bring an energy and love to a home, so I understand how precious they are to you and your family. I can ensure you that I will bring that same care and love to your furry family member My current schedule allows me flexibility. Afternoons and evenings Monday - Friday works best for play dates, however, I can manage mornings depending on the travel distance and make some room on the weekend if needed. I understand that every pet and household has different needs. I always follow each owner’s instructions and care routine while making sure every pet receives the love, attention, and affection they deserve. My goal is to help pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. My care consists of: -Leash walks -Playtime with pets own toys (if requested in the care routine ) -Basic obedience reinforcement (sit, stay, leash manners) -dog parks if there happen to be one in the neighborhood -unleashed in the yard( if the yard is fenced in and requested by owner) - Mealtime( at the owners discretion) - Refilling water bowl - Grooming ( if requested in sitting routine) - Medication administration (if you’re comfortable) -Photo and video updates -Daily visit summaries -Quick responses to owner questions Courtesy Extras: -Bringing in mail/packages -Watering plants -taking out/in trash bins

Ozlen is the best communicator I have used on Rover! Top tier. She so obviously loves dogs and animals. The perfect type of person you would want to take care of your fur baby. My pup was shy and under the bed when she first arrived. She was able to coax him out for a walk by moving the furniture around. She went above and beyond. Could not recommend high enough!

About: I started my career in veterinary medicine over 10 years ago & have truly found a passion for caring for animals. In addition to dog walking & pet sitting, I’m comfortable giving medications, caring for special needs pets, & handling all the little quirks that make every pet unique. I’m also RECOVER certified in animal CPR. I started my career in veterinary medicine almost 10 years ago & have truly found a passion for caring for animals. 🐾💗 In addition to dog walking & pet sitting, I’m comfortable giving medications, caring for special needs pets, & handling all the little quirks that make every pet uniquely *them*. I’m also RECOVER certified in animal CPR. 🩺🐶🐱 ✨ I’m officially back on Rover! 🐾 I took a little break from the app while continuing my work in veterinary medicine and caring for pets, but I’m ready to fill my calendar (and heart 💕) with new furry friends again! Big, small, wiggly, cuddly, or a little suspicious of strangers — I’m ready to meet them all. 🐶🐱🐰🦜 I currently work 4 days a week, so my availability is primarily on my days off! 🐾💗 I love being able to give your pet plenty of time, attention, and cuddles, but I also understand that some pets need more frequent check-ins. I’m always happy to see what we can work out and find a schedule that keeps your pet happy, comfortable, and well cared for! 🐶🐱✨ I prefer caring for pets in their own home, where they’re surrounded by their familiar smells, favorite spots, and routines. 🏡🐾 I’ll follow their normal feeding, potty, medication, exercise, and bedtime routines as closely as possible while making sure they get plenty of love and attention! 💗 Depending on what your pet enjoys, we might go on little **sniff-aris** around the neighborhood 🌿👃, play with their favorite toys 🧸, have a little zoomie session 🐕💨, or spend the afternoon having couch cuddles and quality relaxation time. 🛋️🥰 And if your pet is more of a “please admire me from across the room” kind of baby, I’m happy to respect their space, too. 😹 I’m also happy to help with the little things while you’re away - refreshing food and water, cleaning litter boxes or accidents, and keeping an eye out for anything unusual. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and as close to their normal routine as possible while you’re away! 🐶🐱✨

I had a wonderful experience using Jennifer as a dog walker for my dog, Remi. This was my first time using a dog-walking service, and she provided a lot of peace of mind while I was away for a few days. Remi really values the comfort and safety of being at home, so it meant a lot that he was able to stay in his familiar environment and still be well-cared for. Jennifer shared meaningful updates & photos throughout her visits and kept me informed every step of the way. She was also very courteous even bringing in a package for me while I was gone. She truly went above and beyond to make sure Remi was happy and comfortable. I will absolutely be using her services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog walker.

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
