“Jacqueline & Michael P. did a great job. It was really short notice but They were still able to meet my dog before her first scheduled walk and it completely put me at ease. I will definitely be asking for their help again.”

“Laura is so amazing with our dog Riley (and Riley can be a handful)! I love all her updates and pictures, it always makes my day to see her and know she’s having a great time!”

About: With more than 10 years of experience caring for dogs, I have had the opportunity to work with all types of breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. My experience includes caring for energetic puppies, senior dogs, large and small breeds, and dogs with a wide range of personalities and individual needs. I am patient, dependable, attentive, and comfortable adapting my care to each dog’s unique routine and temperament. I understand the importance of providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while ensuring that every dog receives the attention, exercise, companionship, and care they need. Over the years, customers have greatly enjoyed my services and appreciated my friendly, caring, and likable personality. I have built positive relationships with both dogs and their owners, earning trust through reliable care and genuine compassion for animals. My goal is always to make sure every dog feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while in my care. I work full time but dont work a typical 9-5 so Im very flexible and able to work around most schedules. And rarely take vacations so weekends are typically open. I have a great dane who wants to be freinds with anything with 4 legs and definitely two legs. Hes not territorial or aggressive. So keeping your pet here would be a fun time for everyone. Back yard is not fenced so your dog would always be on a leash. But we would go for walks pending your approval as I live in a perfect neighborhood for walking.
About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I could remember I’m constantly told that I have a vibe that dogs love. I use to take care of an elderly dog for a family friend and I enjoyed it so much. So why not help others with their dogs! I’m a stay at home mom which means I have tons of free time for all dog needs and wants and even healthy conditions and tons of love I have a large dog park right next to my complex that hardly many dogs go to and even has some training equipment inside for extra exercise

About: I grew up with both cats and dogs my entire childhood. Pet care was incorporated into my daily chores, so I am very familiar with picking up pet waste, bathing, brushing, and feeding. I also understand pet body language well and watch for signs of fear, anxiety, and illness with how they move their ears, eyes, and tails. I'm pretty flexible! I do not work a full-time job at the moment (this will eventually change). Rover fits my schedule perfectly at present. I have a small golden doodle who is a ball of energy, so I understand very energetic dogs that get the zoomies! My goal is to provide the meals, bathroom breaks, and playtime, that your pets need while you’re away.
“Luke was a fantastic dog walker. I had to hire him last minute because of an emergency and he was so flexible with all of the difficulties I threw his way. My dog had a great time with him and I loved all the pictures I got! I would truly recommend him to anyone looking for a dog walker that truly puts your dog’s happiness first.”

“Caroline has been great with both of our dogs. She is communicative, friendly and always puts our minds at ease caring for our doggoes while we’re away. She even went the extra mile to change our beeping smoke detector because she could tell it was scaring our dog. Thanks Caroline!”

“I was fortunate enough to live walking distance from Shana and my new 5 month old rescue pup and I walked down to say hi. She is a genuinely nice person and truly enjoys loving and caring for dogs. I feel ccomfortable having her in my home and to care for my dog mid day when I can’t get home to take him out. Rover is a pretty amazing system as well!! Thanks Shana!!”

“Thank you so much for all you did! ❤️ I'm glad he was a good boy. Feel free to help work with him on no jumping. He does know sit and stay for when you leave too! I hope he didn't scratch you up or make bruises, he didn't mean to if he did.”

About: I’m a pediatric ICU nurse who brings the same compassion and reliability to pet care. I have baseline experience taking care of my own cats as well as my friends' dogs. I can easily follow specific feeding instructions to keep your pets' diet consistent and potty-walks are a breeze! Due to my own cats medication routine and my nursing career, I know how important medication timing is, if you pet needs any routine medications while I care for them you can be rest assured that it will get done, and get done right! I understand how much trust it takes to leave your fur-baby with someone else. I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for every step of the way. I have a flexible nightshift schedule that allows me to have more opportunities to take care of your furbaby. Being a nurse, I only work a few nights a week and can be available in and out of typical working hours to provide your pet care and attention! I will be available almost any day of the week for single or multiple daily check-ins, potty walks, zoomie-releasing play sessions in gated areas or carefully in your home, scheduled feedings and more! I live on the cusp of Knightdale, so commuting to the Triangle is not a problem, even for checking in every few hours. In their home, your pet probably feels most comfortable! I can provide them lots of fun and safe interactions while you are away, making sure they don't feel lonely as they wait for you to come back home! I'll always be sure to stay in the same room with them, you never know what kind of mischief they can get into if left to their own devices unsupervised! Breaking into the treat drawer won't fly under my radar! If your pet needs to stay at my apartment for any reason, I am on the first floor, so no stairs needed if that is a struggle for your pet. I do own two shy but friendly cats, but my apartment has enough space that they can be put in a separate room for a portion of the day while your kiddo and I hang out! We will probably just sit together on my couch while I read or watch TV together, nothing too loud that would cause any stress.
“Fang was a LIFESAVER. Last minute I asked him to take care of my puppy while I wasn’t home. He was trustworthy, prompt, responsive and even offered to take my older dog out as well. 10/10 and would use him in the future. Thanks for making my busy Sunday manageable, Fang!”

“Nicole is incredibly reliable and so helpful. She regularly walks my dog while I am teaching, and has been able to care for pets when I needed to travel. I love coming home to happy fur babies who have been well-loved and cared for!”

About: My name is Chelsea, and I'd love to care for your furry family members! I'm an active, trustworthy sitter who has always loved animals! I grew up with pets (dogs & cats) and have experience volunteering with the Humane Society; where I have adopted and fostered multiple dogs. I enjoy helping others and love being around animals. I offer a modest, yet spacious apartment with lots of outdoor space within a gated community; equipped with a dog park and walking distance to multiple parks and trails. I enjoy going for long walks/hikes and enjoy all breeds. I have a 5-year old lab mix, who is very sweet and LOVES playing with others. I work remotely fulltime, so am available all-day for walks, snuggles, and playtime. You can expect that your pet will be actively cared for and loved like they are my own. :) I have an apartment with one other dog, Pudge, who loves playing with other animals. My apartment is in close proximity to multiple parks, trails, and beaches. I'm happy to administer any medications as needed and can offer training!
“X is great with Atticus and he looks forward to his walk. She keeps us notified of long term changes far in advance and stays in contact with us. We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone who needs her services.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of friends and family for as long as I can remember, from taking them out during the day to staying with them overnight when the family was out of town. I love meeting and hanging out with new animals! I currently do not have a job and am looking for part time or full time positions so as of right now, I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I love playing with dogs, inside or outside depending on your preferences and weather. I can also crate your dog if needed before leaving the home.

Brian was amazing this week as always. We are so grateful for Brian every week when we need to go in to the office. Brian takes such great care of our girls and makes sure they have everything they need and lots of love while we are away. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
