“Pleasant, caring, lovely people who took loving care of my dogs, kept me posted with texts and photos, and went the extra mile to clean up the messes my dachshund left on the floor even though they didn’t have to. If Jaqueline and Michael are willing, I will definitely hire them again to watch my dogs. Thank you!”

“Absolutely phenomenal with our rottie. She was so excited to meet him and it’s evident she’s an animal person because he loves her right back! Laura is our go-to dog caretaker. 🩵”

“Paul was very communicative and most importantly my dogs loved him! I had him check in on my 2 dogs for a week and he was very dependable and trustworthy and reached out if he had any questions/concerns. I felt like my dogs were in great hands!! Highly recommend him to other pet parents.”

“Mari was amazing with our pups and we cannot wait for her to watch them again!! She was so sweet with them and met them before dropping in on them to make sure they were properly introduced. She was extremely communicative and we would recommend her to anyone with furry friends that need to be taken care of.”

“Bridgette did a great job taking care of our two cats while we were out of town for two weeks. She followed out instructions perfectly, always provided an update during her drop-in visits with the cats, and responded quickly. We will definitely hire Bridgette again!”

About: I LOVE animals, in fact, I have 5 of my own ( 4 dogs (Casey, Mako, Leo, and Grace) and 1 cat (Cauge)). I trained Mako to be a PTSD service dog. I have had animals my ENTIRE life and am an active wife and mama. I love all animals but large dogs have a special place in my heart. So if you have a Big Baby, please give me a call!! Of course of you have a little baby I would be overjoyed to love on them as well!! I can’t wait to help you care for your babies while you are out at work so they stay healthy and engaged. Drop ins...I can feed, de-water (aka potty breaks) and play, if you are working on training I would love to work along with you on those skills as well. Please note that drop ins can be any type of animal not just cats or dogs (i.e. hamsters, bunnies, gerbils, lizards, ferrets, etc) Walks...Outside engagement, I like to teach good leash manners (no pulling, walking with me) and safety (sitting prior to crossing the street). Of course if we are feeling up for it and its not too HOT, a nice jog may just be on the horizon 😀 Dog Boarding… not offering in my home at this time, but happy to do drop ins while you are away. It there are other needs, please feel free to let me know and we can work something out! I have taken some time away from work and taking some focused time to care for my mother. Once I drop my son off at school in the morning and some scheduled Dr Appts for my mother, I have time to share with others and what better way than caring for their BABIES while they are away at work. Every family's needs are different. I fully respect my client's privacy while I am there to care for YOUR baby(ies). One thing that I am very conscience about is the WARMER weather coming. I always seek out shady areas for walks and if that is not available, I make sure we walk in the grass. Dog paws are very easily burned, and I make sure to care for them.
“Ashley was very professional prior to her visits with Percy. She asked questions that showed she cared about the comfort of my pet. During her visits she made sure to send me photos and Percy seemed to love having her stay with him for awhile. I have enjoyed knowing that he was well loved and taken care for while I was away.”

“Xeque, was a fantastic sitter for my two outdoor cats. She communicated thoroughly and was flexible with last minute changes. Thank you so much for accommodating my kitties need!”

“Kymberlee was absolutely amazing! She was so so nice and listened to everything I had said about my cat. Her positive energy immediately made me feel comfortable and I knew she would be perfect for the job! I will definitely be rebooking her in the future.”

“Nicole is amazing! This was our first experience with Rover and/or having someone take care of our dog that we didn't already know. Nicole was fantastic. She communicated well and always kept us updated. She fed, watered, medicated and walked him daily and sent us lots of pictures. He was so happy with her and so we're we!”

“Lindsey took SUCH great care of our boys! She sent lots of pics and was so kind during our meet and greet. We instantly felt comfortable with her and will definitely book again! Thank you Lindsey!”

“I’m so happy we found Suzie! She did an amazing job taking care of our kitties. She goes above and beyond to make sure your pets are safe and happy. I’ll definitely use her again and I highly recommend her!”

“So happy we found Caroline last minute for our old boy! She sent photos each drop in and communicated with his food/bathroom updates throughout the wknd. Look forward to having Caroline’s help again in the future!”

Paul took amazing care of our girls!! He sent very detailed updates with pictures after every check-in and our cats loved him! We will absolutely be reaching out next time we are in need of a sitter. He gave us peace of mind during our vacation so we never worried if our babies were doing okay or not. Definitely recommend!

Kristine took wonderful care of our cat, Mack, while we were away on vacation. She showered our boy with lots of love and attention, which gave us great peace of mind while we were gone. Her communication was excellent, and she kept us updated throughout our trip, making it easy to relax knowing Mack was in good hands. Based on our experience, we would absolutely book with Kristine again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and communicative pet sitter!

We are so thankful to have found Amy! We have a rescue pup who is very apprehensive and anxious of new people, and Amy’s calm yet knowledgeable demeanor made our pup warm up quicker than we have experienced before. We trusted Amy to watch all of our pets (2 dogs, 2 cats) and knew they were well cared for, which was such a relief!

Our kitties absolutely loved having Amaya look after them while we were out of town! We did too! They are usually pretty shy around strangers and can take some time to warm up but both kitties came out without any hesitation and enjoyed their playtime and hanging out. Amaya was very patient with my detailed information about the kitties and super respectful to the house. She was super communicative and gave me awesome updates with pics of both kitties. I felt super comfortable that both our fur babies were with someone very trustworthy who cares about animals while we are away. We will definitely be trying to book with Amaya again the next trip we are able to take.

Jacqueline and Michael have always taken such great care of our kids! This time, we had to leave our cat home alone and I was very worried for her. Thankfully, Jacqueline and Michael offer extended visits! They spent extra time with Big Tiny to ensure her needs were met for affection, play, and Dr. Grande! (IYKYK) We were so happy to come home to a happy, healthy, well-adjusted kitty! Thanks so much!!

I absolutely recommend Megan! She has watched our cat a couple times for us and has done a great job. My cat doesn’t like new people and needs her space, and Megan has been very understanding of that while still making sure she’s taken great care of.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Knightdale. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
