I just finished my undergraduate degree and I am now working as a Veterinary Assistant 4 days a week and I am available weekends but may be available certain weekdays if needed!

I am unable to house a pet in my apartment at the moment, but for caring for your pets in general I always make sure they get enough exercise, always have water, feed them per your request, and make sure they are given enrichment throughout the day! I am also working as a veterinary assistant and learning medical skills so you can be assured that someone will have knowledge of any health concerns that may arise.

I would like to know what they enjoy or anything that they don’t like. I would also like to know their behavior around other dogs, people, and children just in case you would like me to take them to the dog park or on a walk! I would also like to know if they have any health concerns that I need to watch over or be careful of certain activities to make sure they are having fun but also safe!
A typical day
I love taking dogs for walks, especially around local parks! Playing fetch with dogs or teaching them new tricks is something I also love to do with dogs!

Pet care experience
I have always wanted to be a veterinarian as a kid and I have just graduated from UNCW with a bachelor of science in biology. I finished my minor in assistance dog training and received my certification. I now work as a Veterinary Nurse in Raleigh ! I spent multiple days a week with puppies and large dogs from my summer job at a dog daycare. I have taken multiple courses in dog behavior, care, and health. I am passionate about the welfare of all animals and want to ensure they have a fun and loving time while you are away!

Amaya was absolutely wonderful! She stayed at our house and took wonderful care of our two dogs - one of which is an older pup with some health issues who requires several daily medications. The dogs both loved her instantly, I felt such peace of mind knowing Amaya was with our fur babies.

Our kitties absolutely loved having Amaya look after them while we were out of town! We did too! They are usually pretty shy around strangers and can take some time to warm up but both kitties came out without any hesitation and enjoyed their playtime and hanging out. Amaya was very patient with my detailed information about the kitties and super respectful to the house. She was super communicative and gave me awesome updates with pics of both kitties. I felt super comfortable that both our fur babies were with someone very trustworthy who cares about animals while we are away. We will definitely be trying to book with Amaya again the next trip we are able to take.
Amaya was an excellent house sitter for our two dogs. They loved having her there and I always had peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands.
