“Brooklynn took great care of my dog for her drop-in visit while we were out of town for the day. She is professional, on time, communicative and very nice! I would recommend Brooklynn to anyone I know looking for a reliable sitter and will reach out again in the future. Thanks Brooklynn!”

“Erin was great! This was our first time with Rover and drop ins with our two pups so we were a bit nervous. Reading reviews and booking was easy and Erin was available for a pre-meet to easy our anxiety leaving them to a stranger. She played with the pups and was prompt with times and puppies feeding schedule and outside play. Thanks for making us feel comfortable!”

About: I have had much experience with pets my whole life. Growing up I always had pets in the house. If there is anything wrong with the pet I will gladly be able to take them to the vet. I have volunteered at animal shelters to help get dogs adopted. Dogs bring me so much joy and are fun to be around. Even when I am a little stressed with homework. I love animals so much. It gives me such joy playing both inside and outside with dogs. I hope that by throwing the ball and playing fetch with each and every dog I will grow to love dogs even more. You know what they say "a dog is a man's best friend", and I truly believe that.
“Ryanne has helped us with two very long trips by watching my two cats twice a day. She’s always so quick to respond to requests and questions, very communicative and we really appreciate her help keeping our babies safe, happy and healthy!”

“Karina took great care of our three pets while we were out of town, even our somewhat troublesome cat who is pretty standoffish with strangers. She sent us multiple pictures per day and kept us up to date. My dog had some health issues while she was caring for them (diarrhea) and she let me know promptly, picked up some meds that I arranged through his vet, and cleaned up the mess in my home. Highly recommend her for your pet care!”

“Tara was awesome!!! She was somehow able to keep our socially challenged dogs calm and happy while we were away. The 4 dogs quickly warmed up to her and the detailed updates she provided gave us the peace of mind we needed so we could relax and enjoy our daughter’s wedding.”

“Meghan is just wonderful with our pups. She’s patient, pays close attention to directions, communicates at a high level, and is very timely. We also love the adorable photos she shares. If Meghan is not caring for your pups, you are missing out.”

“Nina took fantastic care of our kitties. We were nervous as first time Rover users but she made us feel very comfortable. There was a problem with our kitties electric feeders and she noticed the problem and did the troubleshooting with us to make sure they were working and the kitties fed as normal. Recommend!”

“Julia was very personable and caring. Her updates were clear and immediate. She was flexible with the schedule and became friendly with my cats. I appreciate Julia and recommend her to anyone who needs a responsible caretaker.”

“Maggie was amazing!! She did drop in visits for my kitty and my roommates kitty during the holiday. She always gave great updates and sent us pictures so we could see how they were doing! I would definitely choose her if I ever needed someone to watch them again. Thanks, Maggie!!”

“Madison went above and beyond for our two dogs during the Holidays. We vet our sitters thoroughly, and Madison went above and beyond to ensure we and our dogs were comfortable booking. During her visits, she did a great job sending us photos and our dogs had a blast while we were out of town. They are not easy to deal with for a lot of folks being energetic larger dogs. I will be booking Madison in the future and could not recommend her more! Thank you Madison!”

About: I LOVE animals, in fact, I have 5 of my own ( 4 dogs (Casey, Mako, Leo, and Grace) and 1 cat (Cauge)). I trained Mako to be a PTSD service dog. I have had animals my ENTIRE life and am an active wife and mama. I love all animals but large dogs have a special place in my heart. So if you have a Big Baby, please give me a call!! Of course of you have a little baby I would be overjoyed to love on them as well!! I can’t wait to help you care for your babies while you are out at work so they stay healthy and engaged. Drop ins...I can feed, de-water (aka potty breaks) and play, if you are working on training I would love to work along with you on those skills as well. Please note that drop ins can be any type of animal not just cats or dogs (i.e. hamsters, bunnies, gerbils, lizards, ferrets, etc) Walks...Outside engagement, I like to teach good leash manners (no pulling, walking with me) and safety (sitting prior to crossing the street). Of course if we are feeling up for it and its not too HOT, a nice jog may just be on the horizon 😀 Dog Boarding… not offering in my home at this time, but happy to do drop ins while you are away. It there are other needs, please feel free to let me know and we can work something out! I have taken some time away from work and taking some focused time to care for my mother. Once I drop my son off at school in the morning and some scheduled Dr Appts for my mother, I have time to share with others and what better way than caring for their BABIES while they are away at work. Every family's needs are different. I fully respect my client's privacy while I am there to care for YOUR baby(ies). One thing that I am very conscience about is the WARMER weather coming. I always seek out shady areas for walks and if that is not available, I make sure we walk in the grass. Dog paws are very easily burned, and I make sure to care for them.
“Claire was wonderful to accept a last minute same day booking. She did a great job caring for our pups. She was very communicative and courteous. We will definitely be booking her again!”

“Seriously, the most amazing person to help us on our wedding day!! We forgot to leave a key and she was sweet enough to let us bring her one. She has taken care of our cats a few times and today she took care of the whole gang and was so patient with us. Thank you”

Nhi took care of my baby, Leo, twice a day during 30 minute drop-in visits from July 17–19, and she did a great job! She made sure he had his wet/dry food, cleaned his litter box, gave him supervised balcony time, and spent time playing with him each visit. She followed all of my instructions perfectly and even checked in with me when Leo decided he wanted a little extra food. 😊 The photos she sent after every visit are screensaver worthy! Seeing Leo happy, relaxed, and enjoying himself gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Nhi was reliable, communicative, and cared about making sure Leo was comfortable and well cared for. I would recommend her to anyone looking for dependable drop-in pet care! Thank you for making our first experience pleasantly memorable.

Maggie was fantastic!! Our dog is anxious around new people, but Maggie was very patient and gentle with her and she warmed right up! Maggie provided great pictures and updates with every visit. We will definitely book her again and could not recommend her more!

Jade is my hero. I had previously booked her for a concert in January when a previous (non-Rover) sitter cancelled last minute, and Jade was ready to step up to the plate and help. The concert ended up getting cancelled anyway due to ice, but I knew my wife and I would have another trip coming up soon, and I knew I wanted Jade to be our new sitter. One of my cats I wasn't worried about at all, but the other can be a little shy. Jade was phenomenal with both cats, giving them both the love and care they deserve. She gave us consistent and detailed updates and she's just a joy to talk to. Jade, come back over whenever to see Noctis and Umbra! They love you, too!

Exceptionally kind, professional, easy to talk to and work with. We had technological troubles with entry and an additional request not related to the kitties & she was so very accommodating. She seems to exude a natural warmth that draws out even the shyest of animals and was proactive in setting up a complimentary meet-and-greet despite our minimal 48-hr. notice of request. She is very trustworthy & I will give more notice so we can set up care with her again next time!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
