“Tara was very communicative and so understanding of my dog who is very anxious and nervous around new people. She did a great job and I would work with her again! Thank you Tara!”

“Al and Laura did a great job taking care of Pepper. They sent lots of pictures and really spent time giving some love when they made their visits. I highly recommend Al and Laura!”

“Hailey was great with my doggies! I had a last minute need and she so graciously helped watch my pups while I had to work! She is very responsive and I really appreciate that. Highly recommend using Hailey for your dog sitting needs!”

“Madison was incredible to work with for my two dogs. One is a rescue, and the other is very VERY needy on attention - so there is often anxiety for me when leaving and hoping they get the love and attention while I'm away. Madison was communicative, timely, engaged, and loving to my two boys. The pictures were amazing, they clearly had the best time (although I fear Madisons arm almost fell off with all the fetching that was done). Each visit was the full visit time, and every summary was written as if she was talking about her own pets. That kind of comfort is priceless. Worth every penny with her!”

“Erin did an excellent job taking care of my fur babies. She was very accommodating with my last minute, emergency need for a pet sitter, was punctual, and sent me pictures with each visit to let me know how my pups were doing.”

“Top notch! Highly recommend! Bella was so happy when we returned because she’s a people-dog and seemed to really appreciate someone spending time with her. Whitney was a great communicator. Will book with Whitney in the future!”

About: I have had much experience with pets my whole life. Growing up I always had pets in the house. If there is anything wrong with the pet I will gladly be able to take them to the vet. I have volunteered at animal shelters to help get dogs adopted. Dogs bring me so much joy and are fun to be around. Even when I am a little stressed with homework. I love animals so much. It gives me such joy playing both inside and outside with dogs. I hope that by throwing the ball and playing fetch with each and every dog I will grow to love dogs even more. You know what they say "a dog is a man's best friend", and I truly believe that.
“Nina was absolutely amazing!! She took our request with short notice and was a godsend from there. Communicative, loving, and thoughtful for our Husky Luna. Highly recommend 👌🏽”

“Olivia was great watching our dog, Maggie. She took time to send updates and provides pictures. It really made enjoying our vacation easier - knowing that Maggie was in such good hands!”

“Maggie was amazing!! She did drop in visits for my kitty and my roommates kitty during the holiday. She always gave great updates and sent us pictures so we could see how they were doing! I would definitely choose her if I ever needed someone to watch them again. Thanks, Maggie!!”

“Julia was an amazing caregiver for our older cat when we were out of town for a week! She went above and beyond playing with and caring for her. I never had to worry about our home or kitty because they were in her safe hands.”

“Ayla was wonderful! Really made me feel at ease while I was away. Very communicative and my fur kids loved her! I truly felt like she loves my babies as much as I do, which I love! Definitely recommend.”

“Seriously, the most amazing person to help us on our wedding day!! We forgot to leave a key and she was sweet enough to let us bring her one. She has taken care of our cats a few times and today she took care of the whole gang and was so patient with us. Thank you”

“Claire was great. We have an 8 month old berniedoodle who is just entering the home while we are away phase. Claire was great. Spent lots of time with her and made her feel comfortable with us away. Lots of cuddles and treats and extra love for our cat. She even brought packages is 🥰”

“Jade is my hero. I had previously booked her for a concert in January when a previous (non-Rover) sitter cancelled last minute, and Jade was ready to step up to the plate and help. The concert ended up getting cancelled anyway due to ice, but I knew my wife and I would have another trip coming up soon, and I knew I wanted Jade to be our new sitter. One of my cats I wasn't worried about at all, but the other can be a little shy. Jade was phenomenal with both cats, giving them both the love and care they deserve. She gave us consistent and detailed updates and she's just a joy to talk to. Jade, come back over whenever to see Noctis and Umbra! They love you, too!”

“Madison was fantastic!! She was super communicative and flexible. There were issues with the lock to our house and she worked through them to ensure our pups were taken care of. She went above and beyond with her care and attention. We hope to use Madison again soon!”

“Ozlen accepted a last-minute request for drop-in for my two dogs and was a lifesaver! Very easy communication, super pleasant to deal with, and I would absolutely book with her again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Will-O-Dean Acres
Erica has been incredibly thoughtful, communicative, and thorough during the two weeks we were out of town. Her daily updates were both detailed and engaging (perhaps a future in writing). Through the updates, we felt a great sense of trust and care for our fury fellow while we were away. We look forward to entrusting our cat with Erica on our next vacation!

Nhi took care of my baby, Leo, twice a day during 30 minute drop-in visits from July 17–19, and she did a great job! She made sure he had his wet/dry food, cleaned his litter box, gave him supervised balcony time, and spent time playing with him each visit. She followed all of my instructions perfectly and even checked in with me when Leo decided he wanted a little extra food. 😊 The photos she sent after every visit are screensaver worthy! Seeing Leo happy, relaxed, and enjoying himself gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Nhi was reliable, communicative, and cared about making sure Leo was comfortable and well cared for. I would recommend her to anyone looking for dependable drop-in pet care! Thank you for making our first experience pleasantly memorable.

Karina took great care of our three pets while we were out of town, even our somewhat troublesome cat who is pretty standoffish with strangers. She sent us multiple pictures per day and kept us up to date. My dog had some health issues while she was caring for them (diarrhea) and she let me know promptly, picked up some meds that I arranged through his vet, and cleaned up the mess in my home. Highly recommend her for your pet care!

Maggie was fantastic!! Our dog is anxious around new people, but Maggie was very patient and gentle with her and she warmed right up! Maggie provided great pictures and updates with every visit. We will definitely book her again and could not recommend her more!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Will-O-Dean Acres. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
