Pet care experience

Your dog’s new best friend!

Hi, my name is Rachel! I recently graduated with a bachelors degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a minor in wildlife rehabilitation. I have spent the past 3 years working in wildlife rehabilitation and raptor training. I have vast experience caring for dogs and cats through my own personal pet care, pet sitting for friends and family, and previous jobs in overnight boarding facilities and shelters. Currently I’m working on a veterinary internship working with museum species such as snakes, turtles, lizards, and fish and am working on applying to vet school in the fall! I live with my dog, Pudge and my Pigeon, Concrete who both take care of me as much as I take care of them. I have grown up surrounded by animals and continue to put them in the forefront of my daily life. I’ll make sure your pets receive the same top notch care as my own! I also have experience administering oral, topical, and injectable medications as well as basic first aid and wound care. Feel free to message me anytime during any visit with any special requests or instructions, I am a prompt communicator and will be sure to take care of anything you need for your pets comfort and health.

Safety, trust & environment

At home I currently have a 50lb mixed breed dog named Pudge and a Pigeon named Concrete who I care for, train, and exercise daily. I have worked in boarding kennels and on farms before and am comfortable with dogs of any size, temperament, and breed. I am very experienced reading and understanding dog and cat body language and warning signs and will pay attention to your pets feelings and needs when interacting with them!
