About: I recently graduated from NC State University with a degree in design and a minor in zoology! Now that I’m in post-grad life, I’m working remotely and looking to spend time doing what I love most: hanging out with animals. While I’ve shared most of my life living with cats but dog sitting has actually been my main thing! Long before downloading the Rover app, I was primarily dog sitting for people in person—starting back in 2020 when I pulled double duty babysitting both toddlers and their fur babies. Needless to say, dogs know I'm a trusted friend! From energetic medium and large breeds to the sweetest small pups, I love them all—that absolutely includes our precious senior dogs! I have a huge heart for older pups who just want company to hang out with. Because of my background with cats, I am an absolute pro at routine. I run a tight, loving schedule—timely meals, plenty of playtime and walks, and endless cuddles tailored to exactly what your dog likes. Your pup will be in the safest, most attentive hands. I’ll keep you completely in the loop with consistent updates. Plus, as a design grad, don't be surprised if a a simple portrait of your pet lands in your inbox as a bonus :) Since I work remotely from my laptop, my schedule is flexible, allowing me to easily prioritize your babies whenever they need attention. I will be at your home for the majority of the time, only popping out occasionally to grab food or run quick errands. I absolutely adore my own cats and treat them like royalty, so you can rest assured your fur babies will receive that exact same level of love and quality care! To ensure they have the best experience possible! I always make it a point to learn about their specific routines, favorite toys, safe zones, and any necessary medications ahead of time :)

“Natalie took such great care of our two dogs. The girls seemed to have a fun time with her here and she kept us updated with tons of pictures which we appreciated so much!! She left the house clean & was very easy to work with. I would highly recommend Natalie to anyone.”

“Wednesday was an amazing sitter. They watched our 3 year old Boston mix over a holiday weekend in our home and was very professional. They sent daily updates and photos to keep us informed and at ease that our boy was having a great weekend. Would highly recommend and will rebook!”

“Makayla was awesome with our two dogs! She kept them off the furniture and made sure they had plenty of snuggles and play time. Our German Shepherd has bad anxiety and she did great giving his medicine and keeping him calm. She also sent photos every morning and evening. Highly recommend!”

“Morgan has been our person for over a year now. She takes the absolute best care of my dogs and my home. This was my first international trip in a very long time. Having Morgan watch the girls brought peace of mind and allowed me to relax and enjoy my 10 day vacation. She sent lots of pictures and updates and kept the girls on a pretty good schedule. The dogs love her and always seem really happy and relaxed when I return. Cannot recommend her enough. We’ll miss you when we move! Thanks for everything”

About: I grew up on a farm in Indiana. Animals have been a part of my life since I learned to walk. I have cared for animals, traveled with animals, and loved animals throughout my lifetime. I have potty-trained puppies for friends, and I have dog-sat, along with some exotic animal sitting, many times over my years. I have also cared for my aging pets as they transitioned from life. I recently retired from a career in teaching special education students. I have a husband who is willing to allow me to leave a week or so here and there, so I can house and pet-sit at this time if you're going on vacation. My schedule is open right now. I love to walk and hike. If your pet likes to go for walks, that is something that we will do daily, a few times a day, depending on weather. I play with animals, tug of war and fetch, and petting is essential. Pets require lots of love and attention in order to be healthy and happy.
“I was super happy with Jessica's Dog Sitting for Gabby. In addition to my precious being well cared for, Jessica kept up with my mail and watering my plants, she took good care of things around the house. Will definitely be using her service again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Will-O-Dean Acres
Natalie was fantastic with Storm and Kitty. She communicated proactively the entire stay, handled a set of thunderstorms without any issue, and stayed calm and easygoing through a minor mess along the way. She was flexible with schedule changes on our end and clearly paid close attention to the written instructions (meds, feeding, walk timing around heat). Came home to two happy, well-cared-for pets. Highly recommend and would book again without hesitation.

Maria was kind and punctual. She came over for a meet and greet and the boys loved her. She was able to follow instructions well and even critically think on her feet when Goose decided he didnt like the extra food so she skipped it instead of wasting more. 10/10 will be booking again for a wedding in October 🖤😽

🤩🌟⭐️ I cannot say enough good things about my experience, John was absolutely wonderful! From the initial first visit, my pickiest dog Nova went right up to John and said hello without her normal barking or hiding under the table, and all of my apprehensions were at ease. I received lots of updates and pictures to let me know they were doing ok. I would recommend John with no hesitation for multiple animals and will be using him again for our next trip because I know my furr kids will be loved on. 💓

Nhi was kind, responsive, and very caring for our cats! She kept me updated and sent pics. She noticed one of my cats wasn’t eating her dry food and reached out so we could troubleshoot. Our cats seemed to be really comfortable with her, cuddling with her on day one! Grateful for her help while we were out of town - Will book again!

Rachel was a good friend and caregiver to our big boy - Rhodesian Ridgeback - Rufus for the 6 days and nights we were away. The house was immaculate when we returned and Rufus was healthy and happy. Rachel even watered my wife's garden when needed. No complaints and a hearty recommendation.
Ramona is one of the best sitters I’ve ever had for my dog! She truly went above and beyond to take care of both my fur son and my home. She sent such sweet updates and pictures of them together, which made me feel so relieved because I always have anxiety leaving him. Really trustworthy, great communicator and such a big heart for animals. Can’t wait to use her again!

Nicole was wonderful to our pups! This was the first time we’ve left them overnight since adopting them so we were a little nervous at first. But she completely calmed our nerves!! I cannot thank her enough for treats them like they are hers. We will for sure be using her again! Thank you, Nicole!!

We used Morgan a few years ago to watch our two golden retrievers, and are so happy she is back in our area to again care for our dogs. She is very communicative and prompt. Sends lots of updates and photos which we appreciate. We would absolutely recommend using Morgan to care for your pets and look forward to continuing to work with her in the future.

Becca was available for a last minute trip to watch the pups! She loved on them, sent pictures, and spent time with them each day. It was so lovely being able to relax and know the pups were being cared for so well! I will definitely keep Becca as one of our sitters and would use her services again and again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Will-O-Dean Acres walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Will-O-Dean Acres maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Will-O-Dean Acres choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
