“Wednesday watched our two dogs for a week at our house. She was very communticve and took great care of our fur babies. I would definitely recommend her for future in- home boarding and pet care.”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for animals and professional experience in a veterinary hospital. I understand body language, recognize signs of stress or illness, and am trained in medication administration. I’ve worked with dogs of all temperaments and am confident handling both dogs and cats. I also not only provide enrichment and structured care to support both physical and mental well-being, but I prioritize it! Pet care is my full-time career, allowing me to offer flexible scheduling, dependable availability, and top-tier care. I structure my days around my clients’ pets to ensure they receive consistent attention while keeping their routines as normal as possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medications, and any special instructions while treating your home with the utmost care and respect.
“Chenelle did such a wonderful job. Her meet and greet was thorough. She left thoughtful updates and sent tons of pictures outlooks times a day. She even was able to handle a maintenance emergency at the house while I was gone!”

“Nicole was wonderful to our pups! This was the first time we’ve left them overnight since adopting them so we were a little nervous at first. But she completely calmed our nerves!! I cannot thank her enough for treats them like they are hers. We will for sure be using her again! Thank you, Nicole!!”

“Ellie did an amazing job. Communication was superb and she sent pics each day of our pups. She was gracious enough to grab our mail and even put out our trash for us, which was so appreciated! She was a pleasure to talk to and we felt so grateful to have found her to stay in our home so our pups didn't need to be boarded.”

“Awesome caregiver to my two fur babies! So happy to have secured Jaiden to spend three days with Sophie and Penny. Her attention to their needs, time spent with them, and respect for my home are welcomed attributes from her. Enjoy reaching out to her and having her take care of your four-legged children.”

About: We have raised 4 dogs of our own from puppies (two of which who have passed away from old age) and have experience with special needs. We have bottle fed one puppy. One of our current dogs is deaf and partially blind, so we are used to that as well. Several dogs that have stayed with us over the years have severe anxiety, so we are used to that as well. Ken works from home, so is available to let anyone out for potty breaks or playtime in the yard. We also live three houses up from the greenway, which is a great place for walks and runs. There is a little creek to get in for when it is really hot! With three teenagers in the house, there will be plenty of people to fight over who gets to snuggle and sleep with them when it's time for that! We have a fenced-in yard and will treat your baby just like ours! We have used all kinds of leashes, harnesses, easy-leaders, so we should be familiar with whatever system you have in place and will follow whatever schedule you have! None of our dogs currently use a crate, but we still have one of ours and are used to crate training.
“Morgan has been our person for over a year now. She takes the absolute best care of my dogs and my home. This was my first international trip in a very long time. Having Morgan watch the girls brought peace of mind and allowed me to relax and enjoy my 10 day vacation. She sent lots of pictures and updates and kept the girls on a pretty good schedule. The dogs love her and always seem really happy and relaxed when I return. Cannot recommend her enough. We’ll miss you when we move! Thanks for everything”

“Monica was so great taking care of our 2 senior dogs. She regularly sent us updates and pictures without us even asking and followed our instructions to the letter. We would absolutely book Monica again!”

“Barrett was great. We normally board our dogs, so we were a little nervous at first doing something different, but Barrett put our nerves at ease. He went above and beyond and spoiled our dogs while we were gone. They were well taken care of. We highly recommend him.”

“Rhonie was amazing!! She keeps you updated throughout her visits and makes sure my pups were well loved. One of our pups got out her crate accidentally and without hesitation Rhonie went back over there to put her back in! I would recommend Rhonie to anyone I know and would use her again!”

“Courtney watched my two dogs and cat while we were out of town. She had great communication and updated me multiple times throughout my trip. Highly recommend booking with Courtney for any of your pet sitting needs!”

“Nicole took great care of my two pups! Very attentive and loving on my doggies! I ended up extending my trip and Nicole was super flexible and responsive! Already sent another booking request :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rolesville
WOW I am blown away by Chenelles attention to detail and fantastic communication. We’ve had rovers for our dogs entire lives (8 years!) and she is hands down the best sitter we have ever had. We have difficult dogs who have to be separated most of the time and have anxiety issues and she handled them so perfectly. I truly appreciated the lengthy and detailed updates twice a day, expressing their quirks and habits which shows me how well she paid attention to them. If she’s available for your date… BOOK HER! ❤️

Kaelin was wonderful. She took wonderful care of our Hubie and sent pictures everyday. He obviously loved her because he kept jumping in her lap and that is something he only does with special people. She took him for walks also cared for our home and garden. We could not have been happier with this experience and we will use Rover and Kaelin again.
From initial contact to last date of sitting Donna was an absolute dream. She graciously agreed to meet us twice before the booking began to calm our anxiety about leaving our 2 poodles and 1 kitty. She provided daily updates with pictures and left our home immaculate. 5 stars ⭐️ is not enough. Will book again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rolesville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rolesville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rolesville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
