“Wednesday watched our dog Grace in our home for 2 weeks. They were very good at sending us updates and did a great job. We will definitely hire them again. Thanks Wednesday!”

“Nicole is an amazing sitter! I am so happy that I reached out to her when I was looking for someone to stay in our home with our 2 dogs. 1 of my dogs is very anxious, and especially around new people. Nicole took her time to get to know him and be patient with him. Everytime she updated me on our dogs, they looked happy and well taken care of. She even took them to parks a couple of times in the week and they looked so happy on their walks. We came back from our trip and our house was clean and the dogs were so happy! I would highly recommend Nicole to anyone looking for an honest, responsible, and kind person to look after their pets! Thank you again Nicole! 10 out of 10.”

“Brooklynn is the best! She sent so many photo updates and my dog looked so happy. I didn’t worry about him at all while we were gone! We will definitely be booking with her in the future.”

“Rachel was a “dreamboat” for our senior pups! She was available for them during the daytime and woke up early with them every morning! We could not ask for a better experience with a sitter for Sallie and Pixie and our home. If we have needs in the future she will be the first one we call!”

“Barrett was great. We normally board our dogs, so we were a little nervous at first doing something different, but Barrett put our nerves at ease. He went above and beyond and spoiled our dogs while we were gone. They were well taken care of. We highly recommend him.”

“Awesome caregiver to my two fur babies! So happy to have secured Jaiden to spend three days with Sophie and Penny. Her attention to their needs, time spent with them, and respect for my home are welcomed attributes from her. Enjoy reaching out to her and having her take care of your four-legged children.”

“Nicole was great with our dog. He could be challenging at times but Nicole was very patient with him until he was comfortable with her. She’s also good at communicating. She sent us pictures daily and got on calls during the 10 days we were abroad. She also took care of the garden and the rest of the house. It was a such a relief to come back to a happy dog and an orderly house. We will definitely book Nicole again :)”

About: We have raised 4 dogs of our own from puppies (two of which who have passed away from old age) and have experience with special needs. We have bottle fed one puppy. One of our current dogs is deaf and partially blind, so we are used to that as well. Several dogs that have stayed with us over the years have severe anxiety, so we are used to that as well. Ken works from home, so is available to let anyone out for potty breaks or playtime in the yard. We also live three houses up from the greenway, which is a great place for walks and runs. There is a little creek to get in for when it is really hot! With three teenagers in the house, there will be plenty of people to fight over who gets to snuggle and sleep with them when it's time for that! We have a fenced-in yard and will treat your baby just like ours! We have used all kinds of leashes, harnesses, easy-leaders, so we should be familiar with whatever system you have in place and will follow whatever schedule you have! None of our dogs currently use a crate, but we still have one of ours and are used to crate training.
“Morgan was amazing with both of our dogs! We felt very comfortable with her watching them and she communicated with us and sent pictures throughout her stay. We would definitely recommend her and use her again!”

“Abi did a great job caring for our dog while we were away for a week. Our dog loved her and she sent frequent update pictures to give us peace of mind. I would recommend her to any friends or family of mine who need a dog sitter!”

“Monica took such great care of our two pitbulls over the long weekend!! She was very communicative and took great care of not only the dogs, but also our house. I appreciated all her updates throughout the weekend and all the cute pictures she sent! We would definitely trust her to take care of our girls again! She was fantastic and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog sitter!”

“Kayla was amazing!! She watched my two dogs at our house for a week and took great care of them!! She was fast with communicating and always updating me with cute pictures of my boys!! I will definitely be using her again!!”

Barrett was great. We normally board our dogs, so we were a little nervous at first doing something different, but Barrett put our nerves at ease. He went above and beyond and spoiled our dogs while we were gone. They were well taken care of. We highly recommend him.

Rhonie was amazing!! She keeps you updated throughout her visits and makes sure my pups were well loved. One of our pups got out her crate accidentally and without hesitation Rhonie went back over there to put her back in! I would recommend Rhonie to anyone I know and would use her again!

Zach was a hero for us when a sitter canceled last minute. He took the time to understand and love on our big, shy dog and was able to get good morning cuddles from her by the end of his stay. I would highly recommend him, great communicator, wonderful pictures, and I do believe the house was cleaner than when I left! Yay ZACH!

We had an amazing experience with Wednesday! Our dog, Duke, is a very anxious guy and usually won’t eat when he’s boarded at a kennel, so we were nervous about leaving him. Wednesday made him feel so comfortable that he actually ate during Wednesday’s stay, which says everything about the care and patience they provided. We also came home to an incredibly clean and tidy house, and Wednesday sent daily updates and photos that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Duke was happy, well cared for, and getting lots of attention. We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter and would absolutely trust Wednesday with Duke again. Highly recommend!
My pets are rather finicky with people and it can be very hard leaving them at home, but Rachel did such a great job of making them comfortable. We didn’t have to stress for once while away. Our most difficult cat even ate regularly while we were gone, which is a huge win. Will gladly hire Rachel again.

Lindsay is an exceptional house and petsitter in every way! On short notice she was able to spend the weekend caring for our pups in our home. The dogs loved her and my wife and I were able to travel with no concerns that our pups (and home) were cared for so well. We couldn’t even tell she had been in the house!!

Gretchen watched my babies while I was out of town and she was exceptional! My parents have been the only ones to watch my little ones so this was a big step for me. She sent very thorough recaps and pictures that helped me feel apart of each day! She met each dog at their comfort level and built her relationship with them from there. Truly a great caregiver. I will use her going forward!

Blair was so amazing with my dogs! She treated them like they were her own. She even let me pomsky play with her dogs to get some more energy out. Im pretty positive my dogs got longer walks than they usually do when we take them lol. She's definitely going to be my go to any time we go out of town in the future and need a dog sitter. She's been so professional and patient with us and I love how she interacted with not just our dogs but us as well.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wyatt walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wyatt maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wyatt choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
