“Adreanna was great with my dog Zoey. Zo warmed up to her immediately when she met her, which is not the norm as she is usually a bit shy when meeting new people. Adreanna was awesome at communicating and always responds quickly. She is also really flexible with the check ins. I did not worry about a thing knowing she was checking on Zoey. Highly recommend her if you're needing someone to watch your pet!”

“I was so stressed about leaving my kitties for the first time and she took all that stress off my hands!! Shannon was amazing and my kitties loved her.. (eventually even the shy one warmed up to her). Sent me so many pics which made my anxious self feel so much better. So grateful I found her!!”

“Erica was great! She took the best care of my cat and my cat even liked her which is almost impossible. Will definitely hire her for my next trip out of town. Highly recommend”

“Nathan was communicative and clearly cared for our cats’ wellbeing! Would book again, it was a relief to know that Alley and Penny were safe while we were away.”

“Isabel continues to exceed my expectations with how responsible, caring, and communicative she is. Her genuine enjoyment of my cats and the time she spends playing with them is fantastic for their mental and emotional well-being, which is obvious when I return and they are in such good spirits. She is extremely respectful of my space, responsible, and a fantastic communicator. An easy 5/5 for me.”

“Katelyn has taken care of my cat several times, one of which was quite a long vacation. She has always taken excellent care of my cat each time! She is very communicative and prompt, and always sends great photos for each visit. Additionally, she did a fantastic job giving my cat medications while she had an ear infection and URI—I felt very comfortable leaving my cat in Katelyn’s capable hands! I would highly recommend Katelyn for future petsitting needs!”

“Luke was awesome! He took really good care of my two 6 month old pups when he’s dropped in while I’m at work. They looked super happy in the pictures Luke would send me on their reports. One of my pups is a bit more skeptic with other people, but she loved Luke from the moment she met him. He’s very punctual and has great communication. I already look forward to the next time he will be taking care of them.”

“Bella is extremely sweet. I was concerned my giant breed mix rescue (10 months old with a mouthing problem) might be too much of a handful to ask of any sitter, but she stepped in enthusiastically and I have nothing but positives to say. I got multiple photos each visit (Monday-Friday), a fairly detailed rundown (including my dog’s energy levels, training progress, etc.), and Tulip has been in a great mood every evening when I come home from work. This was my first time having a caretaker for a pet, so I was very nervous (especially about my house being a mess) but I gained so much relief from the help and would absolutely recommend Bella to anyone looking for help.”

“Meg did such a great job with my babies. I loved the daily updates and pictures. Normally when I am fine I get snubbed when I get home because they are mad that I left them but this time they just gave me love so I know they were happy while I was away.”

“My spouse and I were so relieved to know the kitties were taken care of while we were out of town. Jiahui was very good with them and they were happy when we got home. Will definitely be booking again!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. I have experience with caring for puppies, and more elder dogs. During Covid, my roommate and I started fostering dogs. We fostered an old sweet yellow lab, 2 puppies with worms and that were to be neutered, and a rambunctious pit bull that suffered from separation anxiety. For the last 4 years, I’ve been formally dog walking and pet sitting. I travel for a lot for work so I’m not able to have a pet of my own, but I’m more than happy to walk and care for yours! My schedule is quite all over the place, so feel free to reach out and I’ll try to accommodate! I’m a nurse and I work three days a week, so the rest of the week I’m fairly available! I won’t be able to offer overnight boarding or sitting at my residence, but Im more than happy to commute to yours! I can walk your dogs, play with them, try to reinforce good habits, just let me know what you’re looking for!

“Hannah was so great taking care of my eight month old pup while I was out of town! She’s super reliable and punctual and shared great updates every time! She gave me peace of mind my dog was in good hands while I was gone! I really appreciate her flexibility to help, especially on shorter notice too!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Raleigh
Amber took excellent care of my two cats! Even my very shy, skittish cat, who historically warms up to no one, warmed right up to her and made regular appearances for attention while Amber was caring for her. It was great to have the peace of mind that my cats were well cared for, happy and all the care instructions were followed.

Peyton is amazing with our cat Oreo. She is a very anxious cat so seeing pictures and videos of her being comfortable always makes my day. This time around my flight on my way back was cancelled and Peyton on such short notice was willing to help even though I didn’t have him booked to see her. That sums up how empathetic he is!

We booked Rebekah for the second time for one of our vacations and she is great! She is a great communicator, very entertaining for the cats and also gave them such care and attention when she looked after them :) she is attentive to sharing updates and photos that give you peace of mind and we highly recommend!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Raleigh. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
