About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog parent to Koko, my 5-year-old American Pit Bull mix. I also had a wonderful West Highland Terrier named Rhyno who lived to be 15 years old and will always hold a special place in my heart. Dogs have always been an important part of my life, and I understand how much they mean to their families. Whether it’s a neighborhood stroll, a hike around the lake, playtime, or simply providing companionship, I enjoy making sure dogs stay happy, active, and well cared for. I know that many dogs spend long hours at home while their owners are at work, and a walk or visit can make a huge difference in their day. My goal is to provide not only exercise but also attention, affection, and quality time. When your dog is in my care, I will treat them like one of my own with love, patience, belly rubs, playtime, and plenty of attention. I take pride in creating a safe, fun, and positive experience for every dog I meet. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your dog plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. My wife also helps me with pet care, so your dog will have someone around to provide extra love and attention when needed. We work together to make sure every pet gets the walks, playtime, potty breaks, meals, and rest they need. We live in a quiet, peaceful, and dog-friendly neighborhood where I enjoy taking the dogs on walks. I have a spacious yard where dogs can enjoy some supervised outdoor time, but because it isn’t fenced, I never rely on the yard as a substitute for a leash or proper supervision. Your pet’s safety is always my priority.

“I was a little skeptical as this was y first time using Rover however Ellen was great! Super communicative, my pups loved her and she eased my mind sending plenty of pics! I will definitely be booking with her again!!”

“Brianna was so nice and a FANTASTIC pet sitter. Always sent adorable photos of my pets and made sure they were happy and healthy. Messaged me if something seemed different allowing me to feel relaxed while away. My dog and cat were very happy spending time with her and I will be rebooking in the future :)”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. I have experience with caring for puppies, and more elder dogs. During Covid, my roommate and I started fostering dogs. We fostered an old sweet yellow lab, 2 puppies with worms and that were to be neutered, and a rambunctious pit bull that suffered from separation anxiety. For the last 4 years, I’ve been formally dog walking and pet sitting. I travel for a lot for work so I’m not able to have a pet of my own, but I’m more than happy to walk and care for yours! My schedule is quite all over the place, so feel free to reach out and I’ll try to accommodate! I’m a nurse and I work three days a week, so the rest of the week I’m fairly available! I won’t be able to offer overnight boarding or sitting at my residence, but Im more than happy to commute to yours! I can walk your dogs, play with them, try to reinforce good habits, just let me know what you’re looking for!
“Ella did a great job looking after Chloe! She was reliable, asked the right questions, showed up on time, and provided good care. My dog trusted Ella during the visits and walks. I’d rebook Ella again!”

“Isabel continues to exceed my expectations with how responsible, caring, and communicative she is. Her genuine enjoyment of my cats and the time she spends playing with them is fantastic for their mental and emotional well-being, which is obvious when I return and they are in such good spirits. She is extremely respectful of my space, responsible, and a fantastic communicator. An easy 5/5 for me.”

“Madilyn is a phenomenal sitter and she's really made an effort to connect with my dog who's very shy. I'm so relieved to know I have someone I can trust taking care of my dog when I'm away and I will be continuing to book with her!”

“Alexa was great! She was able to help care for my dogs with short notice. She took great pictures and gave helpful check-in feedback during her visits. I felt like my fur babies were truly cared for while I was away, which gave me the piece of mind I needed. I'd definitely use her services again. Highly recommended!”

About: I’m a Junior at NCSU in the Pre-Vet program! I am a certified vet assistant, worked as a kennel attendant, and I volunteer with a local cat rescue often. I have experience with aggressive, disabled, and high energy animals, as well as all types of species! I can’t wait to meet your pet and give them the best care! I am currently taking classes but I am flexible in the mornings and evenings to take care of your pet! I am often free and have a flexible schedule on weekends. I will walk dogs with awareness and attentiveness of your pet, and during house visits I will make sure your pet is comfortable, happy, and healthy! I will make sure your pet is active and playing, and I don't mind attending to other requests while you're away.
“Shelly was so wonderful! She took great care of my two senior dogs who are both on several medications. She followed all my directions perfectly and communicated with me multiple times a day to keep me updated. Would highly recommend her!”

“Adreanna is a great sitter and my kitties love her! She’s very reliable, communicative and does such a great job. I appreciate her care so much while I’m away. Definitely recommend her :)”

“Alexis is awesome! Her mid-day visit allowed me to fully relax at the beach for a day. She seemlessly bonded with Shiloh. Heck, when I received the picture of Shiloh giving Alexis kisses, I knew it was a win/win/win and that I chose the right person. I will not hesitate to refer Alexis to anyone looking for pet care within Rovers guidelines. Thank you soooo much Alexis!!”

Nate was wonderful to have sit our cats! He took great care of them, and our home. He came over beforehand to meet the kitties and was a pleasure to talk with. We felt so much better while traveling with having someone we felt comfortable with caring for our cats.

We booked Rebekah for the second time for one of our vacations and she is great! She is a great communicator, very entertaining for the cats and also gave them such care and attention when she looked after them :) she is attentive to sharing updates and photos that give you peace of mind and we highly recommend!

Recently booked with Natalie while on vacation. She was great. She had great communication and updates throughout and I could tell she treated Rory like one of her own cats. It was nice to be relaxed knowing he was well cared for. Will definitely look to book with her again in the future!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Raleigh. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
