“Archer had a fantastic day with Brittany! She kept me updated on how he was doing, took him to the dog park, sent pics, was very responsive. Would definitely use again.”

“Sloane is the BEST!! Her updates are detailed with lots of photos, and as an anxious dog mom, I really appreciate that! Cooper has such a great time with her and always comes home tired from all the fun. 10/10, cannot recommend more!”

“This was our first time using Arden, and we could tell right away that she’s wonderful with dogs — especially with Rooney! We were well informed with updates and photos throughout the day, and it was clear Rooney was happy, safe, and well cared for. Arden took her on walks and let her relax on the gated back porch, which she loved. We’ll definitely book with Arden again!”

“I’m so glad I found Daniela! You can tell that she is very kind, good natured and really cares for dogs. It was my first time using Rover, so I was a little nervous, but it worked out perfectly! She was very reassuring and communicated with me throughout Priss’ stay.”

“We’re are so blessed to have found Jenn! She hung out with our special needs pup all day during our event and made sure he was safe as can be! Thanks again Jenn! Niko said he misses you already. 🤗”

“Vanessa has been great keeping my dog for doggy daycare. She is very responsive and sends pictures of my dog’s activities. She is knowledgeable about dogs and I can tell she and her family care about my dog. She is also flexible about drop-off and pick-up.”

“Natalie and her pup Otis are the best!! My pup can be nervous in new situations and she was wonderful with him. Otis is sweet and playful and happily welcomed my pup into his home. I got lots of pics and updates! Will be booking with Natalie again!😊”

“Dawn is a great dog sitter. She took lots of photos, and her dog Rice was a wonderful host too! She took care of Ruby and Toasty for the day in her home as a "trial run" to make sure all 3 dogs were compatible so we will definitely be using her in the future for extended stays. Highly recommend.”

“Still in recovery from an attack by a large dog, our little seven pound puppy Maui needed extra TLC. Martine and Ron were as loving and caring as we could ever had hoped for. I recommend them most highly and without reservation!”

“Ana was so understanding about us not being able to show up with our dog and communicated the whole way through! Thank you Ana, even though we couldn’t make it to have you watch our puppy!!”

About: I grew up with labs and retrievers but now live alone with my 2 cats (who are pretty much used to dogs, but still wary of them). I watch peoples dogs and foster with Saving Grace when I can so have experience with a wide range of dogs. I am an engineer but am taking time off from that job. One favorite thing to do with a dog I watch is taking them to my building’s fenced in private dog walk and playing fetch! I have a large dog crate if that is better for sitting/boarding but only if that is part of their normal routine. Pets are allowed on the furniture (also if normal) and since I have pets already, I have extra water around the apartment. Since I’m used to hosting dogs, I’m good at “cat proofing” the apartment and my unit has a good layout to separate the cats and the visiting pet if needed. I choose how to take out any dog based on their personality: dog walk at my apartment building, walks, local dog park, hikes, etc. I also have plenty of dog toys.
About: Hi! My name is Nicole Acosta, and I graduated from NC State University. I am currently applying to go to veterinary school and working as a Veterinary Assistant at Walnut Street Animal Hospital! What sets me apart is my experience with a wide range of pet personalities and needs, from energetic puppies needing structure and positive reinforcement to senior pets who require patience, gentle support, and attentive care. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their homes. I keep consistent communication and photo updates so owners always feel connected and confident while they’re away. I work as a veterinary assistant at Walnut Street Animal Hospital but I’m able to make time to provide your pets with attention, enrichment time, and care! Reach out and we can chat about scheduling!! Also, with my experience at veterinary clinics, I can administer any medications needed! I have an apartment with a green area right outside to play and get plenty of exercise! I have a crate at my apartment if necessary for potty training as well!
“We’re so grateful we found Isabel to care for our Luna! Our dog, who’s usually slow to warm up, felt right at home immediately. The updates and photos gave us so much peace of mind—it’s clear she truly loves and cares for every dog like her own. We’re looking forward to Luna’s first overnight stay and an already booked longer visit with Isabel. Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely amazing caregivers!!! My little angel had a blast with Yamy and Alfonso. They are completely understanding and gentle to my little fur baby. 110% booking again!!”

“Drake is an excellent sitter and communicator! We are so happy to have found him. Tank enjoyed playing with Stella in the spacious backyard and came home worn out. Thanks again for an awesome day of daycare!”

“Julie was so sweet and caring to not only Lily but me as well. She’s really great with communication, sending multiple updates throughout the day and answering very quickly. I know Lily was well taken care of. Thank you Julie :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Raleigh
As always, Gus loves going to Julie’s! He’s so comfortable there and whines with excitement when we pull in her driveway. We had a special circumstance today and Julie was kind and flexible with a fluctuating pickup time. We appreciate Julie and the care she gives Gus every time 💕

Fraggle made himself right at home during his meet & greet six weeks before and again upon arrival at his first day of daycare! It speaks volumes to see your dog instantly comfortable in a new space, with new people. Isabel and Drew demonstrate a genuine love of dogs and an interest in understanding their needs and normal schedule. Fraggle has an upcoming longer stay already booked, and I know he’ll be in good hands!

My dog came home exhausted in the best way possible! Dee took such great care of my little goofball and kept me updated with pictures! I highly recommend Dee to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely compassionate toward animals. I will definitely be rebooking in the future!
Lauren did an excellent job looking after Koda. We felt very comfortable leaving Koda with her and I am sure that Koda got lots of attention and had a great time. We were visiting Raleigh for the weekend, when we visit again we hope she will be available to take care of Koda again. Thanks Lauren!
Your doggie will be in wonderful hands. It’s clear that Mara loves animals and it shows in how she’s taken care of our pup. Mara is communicative, punctual, thoughtful, and updates us with great photos/videos throughout the day. And for Winnie - she lives her best life with Mara! She always comes home tired after a big day of walks, play time, and parks. We are so lucky we found Mara.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your West Raleigh commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
