I LOVE dogs. I lost my dog 5 years ago and I realized that life is not the same unless you are surrounded by dogs. I grew up with dogs and lots of other animals and really started walking and dog sitting when I said goodbye to my 11 year old dog Olivia. Dogs are gifts from above and they enrich our lives if we love them and just do dog stuff with them. After losing my dog and reaching out to friends and neighbors to help with their dogs, I learned that I have a knack for caring for dogs.

Mara was available last minute and took great care of my boy Kane! He stayed at her house for 5 nights. Came home happy and tired. He was well taken care of and spoiled. Thank you Mara!
Your doggie will be in wonderful hands. It’s clear that Mara loves animals and it shows in how she’s taken care of our pup. Mara is communicative, punctual, thoughtful, and updates us with great photos/videos throughout the day. And for Winnie - she lives her best life with Mara! She always comes home tired after a big day of walks, play time, and parks. We are so lucky we found Mara.
Mara was fantastic! She took my dogs on multiple walks and wore them out. When I picked them up, I knew they enjoyed their time with her.

Schedule
Recently resigned from teaching and working from home on a part-time basis with lot's of flexibility to host, play and walk dogs throughout the day and evenings! I believe it is absolutely necessary to get outside and take time away from desk work and connect with nature and dogs are the best vehicles to do so. They bring joy and healthy habits into our everyday routines.

Safety, trust & environment
I do not have pets of my own so my home can be a place for a single dog or multiple dogs. I have an outdoor area for dogs to hang out and enjoy the fresh air but I am also next to multiple parks and areas to explore on and off leash. I can crate and crate train if requested. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds but can be restricted upon your request.
A typical day
A tired dog is a good dog. I understand how important it is to stimulate a dog's brain. For those who are more active, we go on multiple walks and play both inside and outside and get lots of love and attention. Anything really to stimulate their brain and help them get to a calm place. For those dogs who require less activity or cannot be as active, we will still spend time outside and take short less intense walks but still get to smell and explore and just be a dog.

- I have walked and watched dogs of all sizes, breeds, age and temperaments. I have worked with super dog friendly dogs and dogs who cannot be around other dogs. I understand that each dog is unique and want to make sure I am sensitive to each individual dog and their specific needs so they can live their very best dog life!
