About: My wife and I have been been around animals our enter lives, from dogs and cats to horses and goats. Currently we have a 10 year old rescue pup, and have used some of our spare time to volunteer at the local animal shelters. We both work from home, and have a four year old son (who spends much of the day at preschool), but when he's home loves spending time with the dogs and helping out. Large gated back yard, nearly an acre for them to run and play in. Our dog loves to swim in our pool, and yours is welcome to as well. Inside we have plenty of space for them to relax and be comfortable.
“Rudy loved his time at Chantel’s! She sent videos of his playtime and really seemed to love having him. Which is what we all want… someone to take care of our babies like we would like to when we can’t. Rudy can’t wait for his return visit.”

About: I’m new to pet sitting but I have always had a love for animals! I own two spoiled Chinese Crested dogs that I spend nearly all of my free time with. I enjoy long hikes and runs with my dogs (and my family’s poodle)! Dog walking: I’m a very energetic person and I do not mind a long fast paced walks with dogs! I have plenty of experience walking larger dogs. Home visits: I am understanding that sometimes pets have anxiety when their owners are gone. I am happy to go the extra mile to ensure you and your pet are happy. Whether that includes extra playtime or extra treats! I have experience in pet sitting cats and I am not opposed to sitting for puppies.
“George is great! We use him frequently for daycare, and Bentley always comes home happy and tired at the end of the day. George takes Bentley running and swimming during the day, you name it. He also works with your dog on different commands to help their stay go smoothly. Highly recommend!!”

About: At Miles + Me Pet Care, LLC, I specialize in caring for just 1 dog or 2 from the same household at one time, so the vibes are chill. I’ve found that nervous dogs and first-time boarders tend to settle in really well here and thrive with this kind of one-on-one care. My dog Miles is a 6 years old mixed breed dog who plays a big role in that—he has a natural way of bringing out the best in every dog that stays with us and helping them feel comfortable and at ease. I work from home, which both Miles and I love! We have a large fenced in yard with a nice deck where he can sunbathe, do his zoomies, and just live his best life! Miles can get a little bored while I work, so a furry sibling would make his day! I just feel like there would be a lot of winning going on! ❤️ Our home: Miles and I live in a two-story house and a large 100’ x 50’ fenced in yard—one of the main reasons I bought it (that’s how much I love my dog! 😄). The first floor is the main living space and is very dog-friendly: vinyl floors, washable rugs, and protective couch covers. Miles sleeps in the bed at night and roams the house while I work or need to run errands. With that being said, I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s needs and whatever that looks like for them—stress-free is always the motto. We’re in a safe, quiet country setting with only "one way in and one way out" road so very low amount of traffic, perfect for relaxed pets. I only watch one dog at a time or two if they are from the same household. Your home: I am also happy to come to your house if that would be a better fit for you and your pet. The only caveat at would be that I have to bring Miles with. Think of it as a built-in bro for your pet. Bonus points: I also could work from your home if you needed that as well! Happy to help!
“Eda is amazing. She took great care of our little fur baby. She asked questions to get to know him, and his habits communicated throughout the day. We were truly at a peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. Thank you Eda !!!”

“Dawn is a great dog sitter. She took lots of photos, and her dog Rice was a wonderful host too! She took care of Ruby and Toasty for the day in her home as a "trial run" to make sure all 3 dogs were compatible so we will definitely be using her in the future for extended stays. Highly recommend.”

“Arden was great with my baby! She sent me picture updates and made sure she was well attended to. I definitely would like to keep her in my rotation of sitters. Thank you so much!”

About: I have been a caregiver for over 30 years. With a single family home that has an acre of land and a huge fenced in back yard. Our neighborhood has very little traffic, and is very clean and safe. Whatever your pet's needs are, I provide compassionate care and will make a hreat substitute for your pet in your absence. I work from home, as a caregiver to my cousin with Down Syndrome and a mommy to my 12 year old little girl, and have a lot of flexibility. I have two little chiweenies of my own, Maggie and Bruno. Keeping your pet on their usual routine and schedule is the best way to help redice separation anxieties, and help them feel comfortable and safe in a new environment. If I ever have to leave for an errand, I crate everybody to keep them safe. I have a large fenced in yard. I also have small dogs to keep your pet company. Freedom to get energy out, to play, and get snuggles is available constantly. Crating is ok as well. Keeping your pet comfy cozy and safe while getting love and needs met is key.
“Gloria was great. We are new to the area and chose her after reading the other reviews. She treated Buddy like one of her own. He was very happy being with Gloria and her family. She also sent many pictures and videos throughout the day. We will definitely be leaving Buddy with her again.”

About: My girlfriend, my dog and I live in a house with a large fenced in yard. I've had my dog Mabel for about six years, and my family has had dogs ever since I was young. I walk her every day, and I take her almost everywhere with me. I work from home so I can take plenty of breaks. We'd love to host another dog that is well tempered and house broken. I'd love if Mabel could find a new best dog friend to have sleepovers with. I work from home, and I have flexibility to watch your dog and give it the physical and mental stimulation so that it is safe and happy. Creating a Safe and Comfortable Space: I ensure my home is pet-proofed, removing any potential hazards. I'll designate a comfortable and quiet area where your pet can relax and sleep, complete with a cozy bed or blankets. Maintaining Their Routine: I'll stick as closely as possible to your pet's regular feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any other habits they have. Consistency helps them feel secure. Individual Attention: I'll provide plenty of one-on-one attention, including playtime, walks (if applicable and the pet is comfortable), and cuddle time. I'll be attentive to their cues and needs. Potty Breaks: For dogs, I'll ensure frequent potty breaks outside in a secure area. For cats, I'll keep their litter box clean and accessible. Medication Administration: If your pet requires medication, I'm comfortable administering it according to your instructions. Constant Supervision: Unless otherwise discussed and appropriate for the pet, I'll ensure they are not left alone for extended periods. Communication with You: I'll keep you updated with photos and messages about how your furry friend is doing.
“Lisa took in our last minute request for Beau. Beau loved the meet and greet later that day. Then needed an extra hour in pick up and Lisa obliged. Amazing sitter than you so much”

“Ksenia is amazing! Kind and so patient with our hound puppy. She is a life saver! I was caught off guard with our puppy transitioning from sleeping a lot to digging a lot! I needed help with his care, and Ksenia quickly responded and offered help immediately. We cannot say enough good things about her care and concern for our pup, and she even helped with much needed training tips. Wonderful! And her family is lovely as well.”

“Jessica was great! Fast response to texts, and she was incredibly kind and understanding while we tried to get our act together with booking on our end. Oreo was very well taken care of! From the pictures she really enjoyed her time with Jessica’s pup as well! I highly recommend Jessica.”

“Tracey was amazing! She sent consistent updates with pictures so we always felt like we knew what Marvin was doing! Marvin had a blast and was super tired from all of the fun activities. Repeat customers for sure!”

“Staci is an excellent pet sitter that provides amazing care for our Maggie. Maggie has separation anxiety and needed to start developing social skills to help her with separation and just overall being around other people and pets. I am so happy that I found Staci, because after just the first time that she cared for Maggie, I can see how happy my furbaby gets when I even put her in the car seat. Maggie gets so excited because she knows we are on our way to a play date or overnight fun filled stay with Staci. I’ve observed how much calmer Maggie is and how much she loves to be at her sitters house. Thank you Staci for caring for our Maggie with such love and care. My family and I appreciate you so much. -Dina”

About: I have been doing Rover since 2020- I have always been a dog person and a house without a dog doesn't feel the same. I have trained my dog on my own to be off leash, commands annd tricks. Marley listens very well and is titled as our family's best dog. I often watch my family, friends and neighbors dogs while away as well as drop ins/walks. I currently working from home, full-time and my job is very flexible so i’m able to work with you and your schedule needs. I have plenty of time to play, walk and give attention to your pet. Our dog Marley would also love the company. I do have a large and medium crate so I can easily crate your dog if needed so you don’t have to bring yours. We have a large unfenced back yard, also a long leash in the back yard for sun bathing, playtime and a large area to go for walks! Personally, my dog will not use the bathroom in the backyard on the leash, only while on a walk so walks are very important in our caretaking! If you send a request it makes our availability for that time not available for other owners needing care, so please let me know if plans change or you no longer need the booking. Thanks!! 😊 I’m working from home and my job is flexible which gives me plenty of time to be able to drop in, take your dog on a nice walk outside or cuddle thru the night. I have lanyards in the back since our large backyard is unfenced, however Marley will be great fur company for a good tug of war or snuggles.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Williams Crossroads commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
