I have a flexible nightshift schedule that allows me to have more opportunities to take care of your furbaby. Being a nurse, I only work a few nights a week and can be available in and out of typical working hours to provide your pet care and attention! I will be available almost any day of the week for single or multiple daily check-ins, potty walks, zoomie-releasing play sessions in gated areas or carefully in your home, scheduled feedings and more! I live on the cusp of Knightdale, so commuting to the Triangle is not a problem, even for checking in every few hours.

In their home, your pet probably feels most comfortable! I can provide them lots of fun and safe interactions while you are away, making sure they don't feel lonely as they wait for you to come back home! I'll always be sure to stay in the same room with them, you never know what kind of mischief they can get into if left to their own devices unsupervised! Breaking into the treat drawer won't fly under my radar! If your pet needs to stay at my apartment for any reason, I am on the first floor, so no stairs needed if that is a struggle for your pet. I do own two shy but friendly cats, but my apartment has enough space that they can be put in a separate room for a portion of the day while your kiddo and I hang out! We will probably just sit together on my couch while I read or watch TV together, nothing too loud that would cause any stress.

Let me know if your pet has any mobility or behavioral challenges. I want everyone to feel safe, myself included. I prefer small to medium-sized dogs, large dogs are okay too so long as they are well behaved! I would like to have one or two "meet and greet" sessions to make sure we are a good fit, including one with you, the owner, temporarily not around because I know sometimes pups can act a little different without their people around. If your pet requires oral medications or injections and are not difficult to give these medications too, I feel comfortable medicating them as directed!
A typical day
Your furbaby and I can go explore on-leash around your neighborhood, there are so many smells for that sniffer to smell out there! It will be a good way to get some light exercise for all of us! If there is a safe place to play off-leash, we can play fetch, try to learn new tricks, or even make a new friend. To not overfeed your pet with reward treats, I can bring low-calorie pet-safe treats like plain cheerio's or lean treats.

I’m a pediatric ICU nurse who brings the same compassion and reliability to pet care. I have baseline experience taking care of my own cats as well as my friends' dogs. I can easily follow specific feeding instructions to keep your pets' diet consistent and potty-walks are a breeze! Due to my own cats medication routine and my nursing career, I know how important medication timing is, if you pet needs any routine medications while I care for them you can be rest assured that it will get done, and get done right! I understand how much trust it takes to leave your fur-baby with someone else. I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for every step of the way.
