About: What sets me apart is my lifelong commitment to providing attentive, responsible care. As the owner of an English Springer Spaniel, I’ve managed every aspect of her care, including international travel, vaccinations, veterinary appointments, medication administration, daily exercise, and maintaining a consistent routine. I prioritize each dog’s safety on walks, avoid unnecessary confrontations with other dogs, and carefully follow each owner’s instructions to ensure their pet feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I walk, exercise, and care for my own dog every day, so providing attentive, reliable care is something I’m accustomed to. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting while ensuring each pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. I provide care in my clients’ homes so pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, exercise, and any special needs. During walks, I prioritize safety by avoiding potentially stressful situations with other dogs and ensuring pets receive plenty of exercise, attention, and positive interaction. My goal is to give every pet dependable, compassionate care while giving owners peace of mind that their companion is in good hands.

About: I recently graduated from NC State University with a degree in design and a minor in zoology! Now that I’m in post-grad life, I’m working remotely and looking to spend time doing what I love most: hanging out with animals. While I’ve shared most of my life living with cats but dog sitting has actually been my main thing! Long before downloading the Rover app, I was primarily dog sitting for people in person—starting back in 2020 when I pulled double duty babysitting both toddlers and their fur babies. Needless to say, dogs know I'm a trusted friend! From energetic medium and large breeds to the sweetest small pups, I love them all—that absolutely includes our precious senior dogs! I have a huge heart for older pups who just want company to hang out with. Because of my background with cats, I am an absolute pro at routine. I run a tight, loving schedule—timely meals, plenty of playtime and walks, and endless cuddles tailored to exactly what your dog likes. Your pup will be in the safest, most attentive hands. I’ll keep you completely in the loop with consistent updates. Plus, as a design grad, don't be surprised if a a simple portrait of your pet lands in your inbox as a bonus :) Since I work remotely from my laptop, my schedule is flexible, allowing me to easily prioritize your babies whenever they need attention. I will be at your home for the majority of the time, only popping out occasionally to grab food or run quick errands. I absolutely adore my own cats and treat them like royalty, so you can rest assured your fur babies will receive that exact same level of love and quality care! To ensure they have the best experience possible! I always make it a point to learn about their specific routines, favorite toys, safe zones, and any necessary medications ahead of time :)

“Todd did an amazing job of caring for Grizzy on their walk! He gave excellent notes and took his time getting to know Grizzy. He went above and beyond the job responsibilities. Thank you, Todd!”

“Sadie & her fiancé were WONDERFUL!! They were able to walk my dog at the last minute, and when they walk her, they take her on a really long walks! Absolutely will book again if I ever need!”

“Makayla was wonderful with our GusGus. She was prompt for each walk and walked Gus the exact amount we asked. She sent many photos and updated us regularly on GusGus' mood and anxiety, especially over the 4th of July.”

“Ashley was great! She responded to our request on very short notice and was very conscientious in learning about our two dogs and taking care of them while we were gone. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Fang was a LIFESAVER. Last minute I asked him to take care of my puppy while I wasn’t home. He was trustworthy, prompt, responsive and even offered to take my older dog out as well. 10/10 and would use him in the future. Thanks for making my busy Sunday manageable, Fang!”

About: As a work-from-home professional, I can keep your fur baby company all day long, and check in multiple times a day. Does your energetic herding dog need twice-daily walks or visits to the dog park? No problem -- they're just like the Australian Shepherd I grew up with and the Rough Collie I petsit regularly. I am also an ardent cat lover with experience caring for my aging childhood cat (age 20+), as well as a skittish rescue with seasonal allergies. If you have a senior cat who needs extra care or shy kitten who needs daily medication, I'm the petsitter for you. I have an extremely flexible schedule and can accomodate boarding every day of the week. I'm also available for daycare across Raleigh, although I may have more limited availability on Wednesday and Thursday nights, as well as Sunday afternoons and evenings. Feel free to ask about my schedule! I live in a townhouse with a small, fenced-in patio and my one cat. She is typically kept in a separate part of the house during boarding, so I can accommodate animals who are reactive to cats. The yard is great for smaller dogs who enjoy being outside, but I can also care for larger animals who need lots of exercise!
“I met Shelly a few days before the first dog walk and immediately felt comfortable. Shelly is very friendly, respectful, and on time. Shelly came for the first time to take my black lab, and everything went smoothly. Shelly had no issues following the instructions to get into my building and apartment, which we went over on the first day. My black lab loved Shelly and had a great walk!”

“Kaelin was very communicative and willing to hear all about our girls quirks and behaviors and was patient in hearing their vocal welcomes whenever she stopped by to let them out for us. Appreciate her flexibility and communication. Recommend her services!”

“Excellent service! My dog Bouj seemed so happy in all the pictures Destiny sent me while I was away. She properly fed and took care of all of Bouj's needs, and I am very happy with her pricing and her patience towards animals. Definitely seemed like she loved, and cared about animals, definitely will be rehiring her in the future for all my other bookings!”

About: As a Wake County Animal Center volunteer and pug parent I love spending time with animals and becoming someone they can trust. Whether it’s rotting on the couch with them, taking them on a walk, playing tug of war or even giving them a bath I enjoy each moment with them. In the past three years I’ve raised a staffy, goldendoodle and pug so puppy energy doesn’t scare me. I also love taking cute photos of my puppies so I can keep you updated while adding to your endless puppy pics in your camera roll. I’m currently a full-time student online so I am available everyday of the week. Just shoot me a message and I should easily be able to fit you in. Our neighborhood is very dog friendly with lots of trails and other puppies. I have a one year old pug who will be able to keep your puppy company!
About: As someone who has had a pet their entire life, I could not imagine a world where pets do not exist. Through many years, I helped my family train puppies and fell in love with each of their unique personalities. I find so much joy in meeting other people’s animals as well and I can’t wait to meet yours! As I own two cats, I am responsible for feeding them and taking care of them in the mornings and nights, but I have pretty free mornings to spend with animals. I have a lunch break in the afternoon where I am able to spend time with a dog/cat and walk them for a bit if needed. And after I’m finished with work, I am around to feed and play and hang out with any animal. Coming into a client’s home, I know that the pet has a certain level of comfort and safety that they feel in their own environment that a new person can feel threatening to. I always try to take the pet’s lead energetically while honoring the client’s wishes regarding their pet first and foremost.

Julia’s been walking my fur babies for a few months now and she has been great!! She’s super communicative and takes the BEST pics. Today my one bigger anxious dog injured herself (mildly) and was freaking out, Julia made sure to communicate with me and was able to calm her down and stay with her as long as she could until I got home. Thank you so much❤️

This was my first time using Makayla, and Rover, and I was not disappointed. My dog George can be a special case and sometimes takes time to warm up to certain people but he loved Makayla at first sight! She was very detailed, thorough, listened and followed my notes regarding George’s care and had great communication and sent plenty of photos and details about his day. After a day my anxiety of leaving him with a stranger was eased and I was able to enjoy my vacation because I knew I left him In great hands. I will definitely be using her next time and am so grateful we found someone we could trust to love on my baby as we would have.

Cassie was very dependable and good with our dogs while we were on vacation. She was flexible and accommodating when we realized we had entered the wrong dates in the Rover booking. She administered our dogs’ medication and spent time playing with them. Overall, she was great!

My dogs adore Chase! Somehow, they always know when he's coming and they wait at the door for him, then push me out of the way to greet him when he arrives. He always shows up on time, lets me know when he is on his way, and is extremely personable and kind to talk to. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a dog walker!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars! Absolutely incredible sitter, I could tell that she treated my babies like her own. I cannot recommend Brooklynn enough! She took care of my two precious baby girls this past week, and she was an absolute lifesaver. From the very beginning, she proved to be super flexible, communicative, and punctual. She provided amazing care for my girls the entire week, ensuring all their routines were followed perfectly. The daily pictures and updates she sent gave me so much peace of mind and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. It is so clear how much she truly cares about animals.I will definitely be returning to her for future pet sitting and dog walking needs! I highly believe she provides true 5-star service. Thank you, Brooklynn!!❤️

Asheton was amazing once again! Charlie looked so happy in all the pictures from his walk, and it was clear he had a great time with her. She’s very responsive, easy to work with, and always gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in good hands. I definitely recommend her and will continue booking with her for future walks!

Thank you so much!! This made my whole day 🥹 Jersey is my old lady so she definitely moves a little slower during the day — totally normal for her! So glad there were no soupy surprises downstairs lol. We would absolutely love to have you walk them again — so happy they were good for you!! 🐾💕

Allison was super great, quick to communicate and share updates. Made sure our pup was fully exercised and even offered to feed him which wasn’t even asked for! She went above and beyond and was a life saver coming in last minute after our other sitter had to bail. Would absolutely recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
