About: I’ve helped take care of my family dogs for many years. We’ve had dogs my whole life, and currently I’m helping care for our six month old puppy. So, I’ve had experience walking dogs, playing, feeding, taking out for potty breaks, naps, and many more. I’m currently on summer break, so I have plenty of free time to care for your pets! I’m happy to come anytime after 8:00am, and before 10:00 pm. I prefer not to work too late or overnight because I’m just not comfortable with it or driving when it’s really dark. I can’t care for dogs in my home because we currently have a puppy who is only sometimes ok with other dogs, and I live with my parents who won’t want other dogs around. But I’m happy to come over and care for them at your home. I’m comfortable with taking them out in the yard or walking them. And I can also crate them if need be. I’m comfortable with all dog breeds and sizes, unless they are aggressive.

About: Hi! My name is Emily, and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. For the past year, I worked at a busy doggy daycare where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments. Working in a fast paced environment taught me how to safely handle multiple dogs at once, recognize body language, manage high energy situations, and keep pets comfortable and secure. Growing up, my family regularly adopted and fostered senior dogs and dogs with behavioral challenges that other people often overlooked. Because of this, I’ve spent my entire life caring for a wide variety of personalities from shy and anxious dogs to high energy playful dogs. I understand that every dog is different and deserves individualized care, patience, and attention. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I’m committed to making them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I am currently in online school, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, drop in visits, house sitting, or anything else your pups need! For house sitting, I typically leave for around 4 hours in the evening, but will be with them the rest of the day and night 😊 Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. While I am unable to board pets in my own home, I am happy to care for pets in their home. With my experience working at a doggy daycare and caring for dogs throughout my life, I am confident handling dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities. I pay close attention to body language, routines, and any instructions provided by owners to ensure each pet receives individualized care. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the pets and the home with respect. I maintain feeding schedules, provide exercise and enrichment, keep living areas clean, monitor for any signs of illness or stress, and provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they're away .

About: I have grown up with and taken care of snakes, bunnies, hamsters, cats, dogs, fish, chickens a tarantula and a ferret. I have raised 5 puppies including a yellow Labrador, 2 Australian Shepherds, a Great Dane/Black Lab and a 1 year old Rescue Hound Mix with one eye. I have cared for a Senior Dog and 2 Senior Cats. I treat every animal with love, care & respect just like my own. Pet Care is my #1 job! I can try to be available for boarding your animal at my home, As Long As they are crate trained and enjoy sleeping and staying in their crate overnight or for short daytime breaks. I would prefer drop in visits. I have 3 dogs that live with me FT, and no extra room for a visiting pup to sleep in my bed. Typically have time for 3 drop-in visits per day, sometimes 4 if necessary. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have! Exercise, Attention and Nutrition are the 3 most important ways I care for my own pets and my clients. Safety is also extremely important. I have a large 1 acre fenced in backyard at my own home. Always use a harness and a leash for walks or outings. I will make sure your pet is feeling loved, safe and fed with plenty of scratches & snuggles (if they like that), walks or outdoor play, fresh water and food and comfort.

About: Hi, I’m Summer. As a dog mom of four and having my oldest for 10 years now we have experienced the best years together. My passion is to provide that same care to your furry family while you’re away 💗 With working early hours in a bakery on a need be base, my schedule is flexible. I currently have two dogs and two fosters. They are all loving and have adapted quite quickly to our relaxed home environment as I’ve learned that is the best way for them to show their true personality and be comfortable. We go for frequent walks, rides in the car, visits to dog parks and their favorite, the beach! I have a fenced in yard and wish to bring the same safety and comfort to your furry friend while you’re away. I’m also familiar with the halo collar as one of our fosters is currently learning safety boundaries 💗

About: I grew up with a German Shepard. I was in charge of walks before and after school and cleaning up after him. My ex, who lived with me for 4 years, had a dog. I loved taking him on walks and playing with him. I love dogs and I haven’t met a dog that didn’t like me. I work full time from 8:15am - 5:15pm. I have a hour break for lunch so I can make sure your pet gets a 15-30 minute walk during that time. Outside of work hours I can spend as much time with your pet as you would like. I will care for your pet like it’s my own, following your guidelines of course. On walks I will make sure to clean up after your pet. Outside of that, I am going to take care of your pet exactly the way you ask me to.

About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for them. My mom previously co-founded a dog rescue in New Hampshire, and I grew up helping with foster dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. Through that experience, I learned how to work with shy and nervous dogs, high energy breeds, and everything in between. I’m very comfortable with large and strong dogs. I have a Newfoundland, German Shepherd, and Husky of my own so I understand the structure, consistency, and exercise they need. Whether your dog is big, small, young, or senior, I can confidently provide safe, attentive care. My experience includes walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, basic training reinforcement, and of course lots of love and attention. I’m dependable, motivated, and flexible, and I treat every dog like my own. Your pup will receive patient, responsible, loving care every visit. Weekend walks and drop-ins available! Weekday visits can often be arranged with advance notice. I’m flexible and happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. Safety, structure, and communication are my top priorities. I use secure leashing practices, remain attentive on walks, and follow all feeding and care instructions precisely. I respect your home and ensure your pup feels comfortable, safe, and cared for every visit!

About: I’ve had a dog all my life up until college. I grew up with 4 pitbulls and 2 cats ❤️ I’ve worked at a doggy daycare too! I’ve taken care of dogs from newborn pups to some oldies but goodies! 😂 I just graduated and am not currently employed, so I have plenty of time to watch your little guy/gal. Would be able to stop by for feeds and walks through the day. Also available for overnight stays. I live in an apartment. There’s a lake near me to take your pup on a walk and a dog park we can play catch at! They can have the whole living room to sleep at night or if they’re little rascals I can use a crate.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
