Pet care experience

Lover of all breeds and sizes 🐾

You know those people who run across the street to pet every dog? Hi, I'm Anna! 👋 I have a deep love for dogs of all breeds, shapes, and sizes, and bring years of experience in dog training and care. I grew up training Guide Dogs for the Blind, which gave me a solid foundation in obedience, dog behavior, and reinforcement techniques. I’m dedicated to maintaining your dog's training and ensuring their continued success with you. Since 2017, I've volunteered at local animal shelters, and have extensive experience working with shelter and rescue dogs. I’ve successfully fostered and placed eight dogs in new homes (plus 2 litters of puppies!) and am experienced in addressing behavior challenges like aggression, reactivity, and anxiety. My goal is always to understand your dog's unique needs and ensure they are set up for success. As a dog mom myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet. I pride myself on listening to your needs and your dog's needs, being a strong communicator, and being highly reliable. Whether it’s taking dogs out for walks, hikes, playtime, or providing them with quiet, cozy snuggle time full of love and attention, I’m here to provide the care and support your dog deserves. ✨

Safety, trust & environment

You and your pet's comfort and safety is my number one priority. I love to meet with you in advance whenever possible so I can get to know your pet in their environment and make sure I know everything they need. I'm comfortable with pets of all breeds and sizes, as well as those with behavior challenges. ☃️Winter is upon us and even though it is mild in NC, our furry friends still need ! Does my dog really need a jacket for a 30 minute walk? ❄️Below 40°- small, short haired, or senior dogs do! 🥶Below 30°- almost all dogs need one! (Ok, except huskies and malamutes...) 🥶🥶Below 20°- even with a jacket, walks will be kept to 15 mins with additional indoor playtime supplemented.

We've been having Anna come by and either walk our pup or take her to our local dog park for a few weeks now. Anna has been great! Our lil pup loves to see her and we'll continue to work with Anna in the future.

Anna is clearly a dog lover and both of my dogs took to her. She followed instructions well and was very communicative. She was also very patient with one of my dogs who can be stubborn, and took extra time to get my dog comfortable with her. And she offerred options to help ameliorate that dog's reluctance to walk with her. I am looking forward to having her get to know both of my dogs better.

Schedule

I work fully remote, so I have flexible availability to help out with your pets. I always prioritize making sure your pet has everything they need before leaving. *Note: many people ask the difference between a walk vs a drop-in visit. For me, I consider them as the following: 🚶‍♀️A walk is a walk! We will spend 90% of our time actively outside on a walk. This includes bathroom breaks, and plenty of water when we return. This is great for high energy dogs, midday breaks, etc. 👩‍🍳 Drop-In Visits include more than just walks. This usually means your pet also needs a meal, playtime, cuddles, bathroom break and/or a short walk.
