About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I had two Pomeranians who were like siblings to me — one of them still lives with my mom, and visiting her always reminds me how much joy a dog brings into a home. Over the years, I've cared for many of my friends' dogs across every life stage, from playful puppies to gentle seniors, and somehow they always warm up to me quickly. My schedule is very flexible: I can take 3+ walks a day, fit in midday play sessions and feeding times, and easily accommodate medication schedules or special routines. I'm available for boarding any day of the week, including overnights, and happy to send photo and video updates throughout the day so you always know how your pup is doing. My home is a clean, quiet, and pet-friendly apartment with a spacious layout and plenty of natural light. Right outside the building is a large grassy lawn, perfect for daily walks, sniff time, and play — and we have an elevator, so seniors or pups with mobility issues don't need to worry about stairs. Inside, I keep things calm and consistent: regular feeding times, cozy resting spots, and a watchful eye on anything that could be a hazard. I always meet new dogs slowly and let them set the pace as they settle in, and I'm happy to follow any specific instructions or routines you'd like me to keep.

About: I treat all animals like family! I’m a dedicated dog mom of nearly 10 years with hands-on experience caring for friends’ and family’s pets. I’ve raised my own pup from 6 weeks old and am comfortable with dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to sweet seniors. My Boston/Jack Russell mix keeps me active, so we’re always walking, playing, and staying engaged. We both love meeting new furry friends and making them feel right at home! I have a hybrid work schedule, so I work from home multiple days per week (Tues, Thurs, Fri). I have the flexibility to drop by for visits/walks during work hours while you're away, as well as most weeknights. On weekdays I am available for either 2, 30 min drop in/walks or 1 hour long visit. You are welcome to drop your doggo off at my place during those times as well. Ideally, I'm looking for a few repeat clients so I can really get to know your fur child. I have a nice apartment in a quiet, residential neighborhood with a large, enclosed backyard. My dog Felix loves playing with new friends. I have 13 years of adult pet ownership experience: 4 dogs & 3 cats of my own plus 1 rehoming within my family. I have personally fostered for multiple local agencies (Pawfect Match Rescue & Rehabilitation, APS of Durham, Cumberland County Animal Shelter, Hope Animal Rescue, Neshama Animal Rescue) including rescuing from a local agency that was mistreating the animals. I have experience with extreme anxiety disorders that need medical intervention, territorial pets, and rescues from unsanitary, physically abusive, and hoarding conditions. I volunteered as a foster parent to help combat "foster failure" (the pattern of foster families adopting quickly leaving a constant need for replacement volunteers). I fostered for 6 animals, and covered holidays and vacations for my fellow foster parents in these networks. I am also companion pet death doula. I have cared for 5 animals through natural and medically assisted deaths. Which includes treatment with CBD, and administering prescribed medication orally by pill, syringe, and under the tongue. Plus routine medications like ear drops. I am prepared to care for elderly pets and I can recognize common symptoms for conditions like dehydration, yeast infection, and GI issues. I've also cared for disabled animals including a kitten born without back paws. Finally, I have access to a grooming station that can accommodate large dogs, a private dog park, and am very close to multiple public parks. I have an SUV and a crash tested harness and tether. I am happy to provide transport to grooming, camps, veterinary appointments and more. I'm a full time student so my time is very flexible. My ideal schedule would be drop in care to provide walks and feedings while you're at work, on overnight stays or over long weekends. I establish trust with pets with careful introductions.
