About: Dogs are the center of my universe. I've spent the past 4 years as a local and state lobbyist to pass humane legislation that protects both dogs and cats. It's not just a job, it's my life's purpose. I recently lost both of my dogs, and I miss them every single day. Spending time with dogs isn't just something I enjoy, it's something I need. I don't have any pets right now and I would love to have a furry friend to keep me company. I love to get down on their level for kisses, let them sniff the grass, and just give them the freedom to just be a dog. I'd be honored to give your dog the same love and care I gave mine, and to get a little of that joy back in return. I am currently retired and can be available any day of the week after 10:00 a.m.. I am also available as late as 9:00 p.m.. I currently do not have any pets which makes my apartment ideal for dogs who need one-on-one attention. About: Being extremely attached to my own dog and cats, I understand how hard it is to be away from them! You can rest easy, I will care for your animals as if they were my own. Big and small, cat and dog, I love them all! Please note: I only accept dogs in my home for boarding that have been around cats and are known to be cat-friendly. I work a flexible schedule, and come check on your pets morning, evening and possibly also mid-day. Let me know what you need and I will make it work. I can either come to your house to let your pet stay in his/her own environment or if they come to my house to stay, they will join my menagerie for their visit. I have kitties, so they must be cat-friendly. At my house, the day starts with a potty break in my fenced yard, followed by a 20-minute walk either in the morning or at lunch time. There is a second walk of a at least 20-minutes after work around 7 and potty breaks, pets and treats on my work breaks. There are pet beds all over the house, kitties to play with and my dog Sadie (a mix, around 50lbs). My pets range at night but guest pets have to be crated at bedtime. I can put the crate in my bedroom if it will make your pet more comfortable.

I have a hybrid work schedule, so I work from home multiple days per week (Tues, Thurs, Fri). I have the flexibility to drop by for visits/walks during work hours while you're away, as well as most weeknights. On weekdays I am available for either 2, 30 min drop in/walks or 1 hour long visit. You are welcome to drop your doggo off at my place during those times as well. Ideally, I'm looking for a few repeat clients so I can really get to know your fur child. I have a nice apartment in a quiet, residential neighborhood with a large, enclosed backyard. My dog Felix loves playing with new friends. We play ball, take walks, and have plenty of indoor toys for when it's too hot out.
