I am currently a student at UNCG and want to start expanding my pet care around Durham and Greensboro NC. I will mainly be providing services in around Greensboro but hope to expand my services in near Durham for when I am home or traveling for boarding jobs.

I believe that the best person to take care of pets is someone who truly loves animals. I treat every animal like they are my own. Through experiences of taking care of multiple pets I believe it is important to be patient and kind with all animals, and be knowledgeable in animal behavior as well. It is very dire to be able to read animal body language and social cues when pet sitting new animals. When volunteering at the animal shelter this was the most important knowledge to have. With being able to read animal emotions and behavior you are able to tell if a pet is scared or anxious etc, and learn how to brighten their mood.

When walking dogs I like to know if they are pet and people friendly, so I know how to administer walks. For all animals I think it’s important to know about their animal behavior and personality. This can do with things that they like or don’t like so I know how to build a good relationship with the pet.
A typical day
When watching cats and dogs I love playing and petting them because most of the time their moods are down when there owners aren’t there. My favorite kind of pets are the cuddle bugs but I also love my energetic pets when it comes to playing and jogging on walks.

Pet care experience
I have always grown up with having pets of my own ranging from cats to hamsters, and fish. Growing up I have always been a big animal lover, and when I reached middle school I started volunteering at my local animal shelter. This included walking and training dogs and socializing with cats. When I turned 15 I started pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors . Later on I started doing pet sitting jobs with different clients through my concierge job, ranging from cats to small and big dogs. Through these jobs I have experience in taking care of pets of all age ranges and reactive animals.
