A pets new best friend!
I have always grown up with having pets of my own. Growing up I have always been a big animal lover, and when I reached middle school I started volunteering at my local animal shelter. This included walking/training dogs and socializing with cats. When I turned 15 I started pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors . Later on I started doing pet sitting jobs with different clients through my concierge job, ranging from cats to small and big dogs. Through these jobs I have experience in taking care of pets of all age ranges and reactive animals.

I believe that the best person to take care of pets is someone who truly loves animals. I treat every animal like they are my own. Through experiences of taking care of multiple pets I believe it is important to be patient and kind with all animals, and be knowledgeable in animal behavior as well. It is very dire to be able to read animal body language and social cues when pet sitting new animals. When volunteering at the animal shelter this was the most important knowledge to have. With being able to read animal emotions and behavior you are able to tell if a pet is scared or anxious etc, and learn how to brighten their mood.

Dakota went above and beyond in caring for my baby boy. She was attentive to all of his needs and handled every situation with patience, professionalism, and grace. She struck the perfect balance between being loving and caring while also providing the structure and firmness needed to keep him on track. I especially appreciated that she came to my home for dog-walking services, which made the experience even more convenient. It was clear that she genuinely cared about my dog’s well-being and treated him as if he were her own. I highly recommend Dakota for any of your dog-care needs. She is reliable and compassionate.

Schedule
I am currently a student at UNCG and want to start expanding my pet care around Durham and Greensboro NC. I will mainly be providing services in around Greensboro but hope to expand my services in near Durham for when I am home or traveling for boarding jobs.
