About: I’ve been caring for all animals since I was 10 years old, but I’ve always had a gift when it came to dogs. My mom used to call me the dog whisperer growing up, and it was always a dream of mine for people to call me when they were in need of something for their pet. I am super excited to be working with rover, and I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies! :) Caring for these animals is my passion and I hope to make a difference by doing so :) I’m currently working part time so my schedule is pretty flexible! Good communication helps me work around mine and your schedule to suit everyone’s needs! Every pet will get treated with the same respect of an animal in my own home. They are apart of the family, and should be treated as so. I like to keep consistency, so I will be doing my best to make sure my routine closely matches your own!

“What a great experience! This was our first time using Rover and I landed on Melissa based on her having a fellow basset hound and professional experience dealing with animals. We have two bassets, both female, and one of those we just rescued. Needless to say they are a handful. Melissa came over the night before to meet them and check out their dynamic. She didn’t have to do this at all and it was so appreciated. She walked them he next day, kept us updated and responded fast with ANY questions. Bottom line is Melissa is a pro and will be using her for all future basset stop and smells/walks.”

“Lexie is THE BEST person to care for your dog(s) - and I am being completely unbiased about this. I am so protective over my Australian shepherd because he is extremely sweet but also extremely high energy. I’ve always worried about how he will be treated when I am away from him. I never have to worry when my dog is in the care of Lexie. Not only is she the most loving person towards dogs I’ve ever met, but she also kept me constantly updated while I was on a 7 night CRUISE while my dog was in her care. Even when I didn’t have service and wasn’t receiving messages, she still kept me completely updated. She ensured that he was properly eating, exercised, etc, etc. she also ensured that she had all necessary information at her disposal in case of emergency, like vet information. If you are looking for the best person to look after your dog - it’s Lexie through and through! Thank you Lexie!!!!”
