About: Have owned my own dogs and cats over the years. As they've grown older and passed on, I have satisfied my love for animals by caring for my kids' pets when they go on vacation. I've gone to their house and stayed, but also they have stayed in my home while mom and dad are away. We go for walks, and I have a fenced in yard and doggy door them to come and go as they please. Like my grandkids: I love having them and playing, but I also love the flexibility of sending them back to mom and dad! I am a retired teacher and am home most days. I have various errands during the day, or other things, but nothing that would interfere with visiting guests. I no longer have a dog of my own but our visiting fur babies ( and the grands) have a fenced yard with doggy door. Dogs are secure inside the back yard. I care for one dog, that loves the back yard and wants to stay out all day, weather permitting. He is safe and secure there with water and shade, and comes in when he is ready. But most of the dogs come inside. They are free to go out to play and do their business.
“Ella took amazing care of Muffin with so much love, attention, and responsibility. From the very beginning, it was clear how caring and dedicated she was. Muffin was happy, calm, and very well looked after the entire time. I highly recommend her and would absolutely trust her with Muffin again! 🧁🐶💛”

My work from home schedule also allows for me to have flexible availability for drop-ins and walks during the work day. I have one dog, Jippy, who is basically a goofy teddy bear. He spends a lot of time with other dogs and loves having fur friends around. I love animals and can promise yours will be in good hands with me. Feel free to send me a message with any questions! “Rissa has been nothing short of amazing with my dogs. She spent plenty of time with the dogs and made sure they got lots of love and attention. I also felt reassured having her as a walker with all the constant updates and pics. She also managed to get our dogs to walk better then they ever have. We will absolutely be using her again”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life—often caring for more than one at a time—so daily routines like feeding, walking, playtime, and recognizing behavior patterns are second nature to me. I also have experience caring for cats and small animals, and I’m comfortable adapting to each pet’s unique needs and personality. I’m very detail-oriented and take the time to follow your pet’s routine closely, whether that’s specific feeding instructions, medication schedules, preferred walking routes, or favorite toys and habits. I understand that consistency is what helps pets feel safe and at ease, especially when their owners are away. You can expect thoughtful, reliable care and consistent updates so you always know how your pet is doing. As a teacher, I have expanded availability during the summer and can take on additional bookings during that time. Currently, I offer evening and weekend availability and do my best to accommodate schedules with advance notice. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I have a friendly, well-socialized dog in my home who gets along well with others; however, I always introduce pets gradually and will keep my dog separated or crated as needed until everyone is fully comfortable. Pets in my care receive regular leash walks, plenty of playtime, and mental stimulation to keep them happy and engaged. I follow all routines and instructions closely and am happy to accommodate any specific requests to make sure your pet feels safe, secure, and well cared for.

Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I focus on keeping your pet comfortable in their routine. I’m attentive to details like feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions you provide. I also make sure to send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m comfortable with pets of different sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I’m happy to accommodate specific needs whether that’s extra playtime, medication, or just lots of cuddles. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are my top priorities. I’d love to meet you and your furry friend! I work from home so I am home all day and can step away at any moment! I keep my calendar up to date so you’ll know exactly when I’m available (which is pretty much all the time)!! I love being outside and I know most of your pets do too! My apartment is kept cool and clean so they are more than welcome inside if they like it better than out!
About: I have always loved taking care of pets for as long as I can remember. I have worked as a kennel technician at The Biscuit Garden for about 2 years, and have fallen in love with providing special care towards furry friends. There, I create safe play groups, feed, walk, play, and of course, clean! I will make sure to pay close attention to any special needs your pet may have. Accommodating to your dogs energy level, temperament, age, and health is very important to me. I will ensure to pay very close attention to any issues or concerns I may see while spending time with your pup. I believe maintaining a clean and tidy environment is important to an animals health. I will provide updates with messages and pictures about our time together. I look forward to hanging out and connecting with you and your pet! Now that it is summer, I have a ton more availability when I am not working. I work about 20 hours a week, mostly in the afternoons, so my mornings are typically more free. I have 2 dogs of my own, Luna (labradoodle), who I have trained since she was a puppy, and Lacy (French Bulldog), who I am currently training (she is 5 months old). Although I do not have professional training experience, I will say I put all my patience into providing simple tasks that can better your dogs skills. Whether if it’s during walks, crate time, or a simple sit and stay, I will provide my best efforts for your pup to succeed in these things. Along with training, I always make sure to spend quality time with my puppies because we are what’s most important to them. I believe playtime is very important to keeping a dog young and healthy! In any clients home, I make sure to spend as much quality time with the clients dog to build a strong connection.

About: I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life, I’ve also pet sit for many other friends and family members so I have a good amount of experience with staying and taking care of animals!! I’m home from college for the summer and will be home all of the time so my schedule is perfect for pet care and I can be very flexible. In my own home I would put my cats in a different room and let the animals roam around with me. Since I don’t have a fenced in backyard they would have to be leashed to go outside. I treat the pets like my own!!!
“Kelsey is awesome! She made such a great first impression! I can tell she truly loves dogs. She took the time to love on my two doggos and sent pictures and gave an update on her time with them. We will be having Kelsey come back again! Thank you for letting us not have to worry when we are away from our fur babies, Kelsey!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
