Took care of our pup last minute when our other daycare plans fell through, and I’m glad it did because we would use them again in a heartbeat. Took care of our pup like their own and have a great environment for any pup!

About: I love animals and know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else — I want you to feel completely confident they're in good hands. I share my home with an 8 y.o. border collie who is friendly with other dogs and enjoys long walks and naps. We also have a calm 12 y.o. cat who is used to dogs and mostly keeps to herself. I live in an apartment with a dog park and walking trails nearby, so your pup will get plenty of fresh air and outdoor time every day. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so pets are never left alone and get lots of attention throughout the day. I'd love to take great care of your dog while you're away! I work from home with a flexible schedule, so your dog will always have company during the day. We typically go on 4 walks: a 15–20 minute morning walk to start the day, a 15–20 minute midday break, a longer evening walk around 6 PM (30–40 minutes), and another walk around 9 PM. In between, there's plenty of playtime, cuddles, and belly rubs on demand. I'm happy to adjust to your dog's routine to help them feel at home. I live in a clean, smoke-free, pet-friendly apartment where your dog will always be supervised and treated like part of the family. I'm near Morrisville trails, perfect for sniffing and exploring, and have access to a fenced dog park for safe off-leash fun. I keep plenty of toys on hand to keep your pup entertained. You'll also receive photos and updates throughout their stay so you can see how they're doing.

About: My own pet a Viszla named Buddy passed away recently. I raised and trained him since puppyhood to be a 'buddy' who accompanied my daughter and I everywhere in life: home, work, socials, etc. I miss him very much and hope to have a chance to provide the care and 'love' to your 'buddy' when your away that he or she needs. Currently semi-retired, living a simple healthy active lifestyle with some time and flexibility to provide the same for your four-legged family member while your away. I have a ranch-style home that doesn't have a lot of yard but is in a community with lots of walking, numerous pocket parks, other outdoor amenities and is close to the American Tobacco Trail.

About: Hi! My name is Shan, and I am a dedicated dog lover with many years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, especially Goldendoodles. I currently have a wonderful 5-year-old male Goldendoodle whom I have raised since he was a puppy. Through the years, I’ve gained extensive experience with the breed’s unique personality, energy levels, grooming needs, and daily routines. Goldendoodles have a special place in my heart, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. For this reason, I only provide walking and pet-sitting services for Goldendoodles. I understand their playful, affectionate nature and know how to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. Whether your doodle needs a fun walk, companionship during the day, or attentive care while you’re traveling, I will treat your furry family member as if they were my own. Fully fenced yard, flexible schedule, photo updates provided, and lots of love and attention guaranteed. I look forward to meeting you and your Goldendoodle! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work remotely from home. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. I currently care for my own 5-year-old Goldendoodle, so regular walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and exercise are already part of my daily schedule. Since I’m home most of the time, I can easily accommodate additional walks, provide frequent bathroom breaks, and ensure your dog receives plenty of attention and care. I understand how important routine is for dogs, especially Goldendoodles, and I strive to maintain a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment that feels like home. Your dog will rarely be left alone and will receive regular updates, photos, and lots of affection throughout their stay. My home has a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, explore, and enjoy supervised outdoor time. In addition to backyard play, I provide regular walks, feeding according to the owner’s instructions, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of affection. For drop-in visits or care in a client’s home, I carefully follow the owner’s instructions to maintain the dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and providing updates with photos for peace of mind. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for every dog in my care.

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I had two Pomeranians who were like siblings to me — one of them still lives with my mom, and visiting her always reminds me how much joy a dog brings into a home. Over the years, I've cared for many of my friends' dogs across every life stage, from playful puppies to gentle seniors, and somehow they always warm up to me quickly. I think it's because I see every dog as their own little person, with real feelings and needs. I pay close attention to their moods, never leave them alone too long, and treat them with the same respect I'd give a human friend. I currently work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. Your pup can get 3+ walks a day on the large grassy lawn right outside my building, and since we have an elevator, I'm happy to host senior dogs or pups with mobility issues — no stairs to worry about. I work from home full-time, which means I'm with the dogs almost all day — they're never alone for long stretches. My schedule is very flexible: I can take 3+ walks a day, fit in midday play sessions and feeding times, and easily accommodate medication schedules or special routines. I'm available for boarding any day of the week, including overnights, and happy to send photo and video updates throughout the day so you always know how your pup is doing. My home is a clean, quiet, and pet-friendly apartment with a spacious layout and plenty of natural light. Right outside the building is a large grassy lawn, perfect for daily walks, sniff time, and play — and we have an elevator, so seniors or pups with mobility issues don't need to worry about stairs. Inside, I keep things calm and consistent: regular feeding times, cozy resting spots, and a watchful eye on anything that could be a hazard. I always meet new dogs slowly and let them set the pace as they settle in, and I'm happy to follow any specific instructions or routines you'd like me to keep.

About: I have been a dog owner for more than a year and I have taken care of dogs since I was a teen, for family, friends and neighbors. I also had and took care of our family dog for many years. I currently watch my neighbor’s dog for ocasional walks/potty and to play with my dog, who is super friendly and sweet. I have been working from home for the past 6 years. Therefore, I’m mostly always home and available any day of the week and weekends I have plenty of space inside the home, a big crate if necessary, and a yard -its not fenced but I have plenty of tie out cables outside, that I use for my current dog.

Cherie was very nice to deal with all the way from the initial booking to picking up Wilson to bring him back home. This was my first time using Rover and I was worried about him about half an hour after I had dropped him off. The next thing I know my phone dings and there’s a couple of pictures of Wilson looking happy with his new friends! I was very happy with his care and we are looking forward to working with Cherie again soon.

Maninder took good care of my dog for a one time visit - I was in Raleigh on vacation & needed pet care for 6 hours. However, I found her communication prior to my visit lacking. The response time & having to ask questions that I felt weren't answered too clearly was a bit frustrating. I apprecaite her help, but would have liked better communication.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Carpenter

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Carpenter on Rover is $33.3 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,415 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Carpenter. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Carpenter commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,415 sitters in Carpenter, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
