About: I've been caring for animals since I was 10 years old, and over the years, friends and neighbors have trusted me with the special care of their beloved pets. For over a year, I worked in a lab-like setting providing daily care to a wide variety of exotic animals, including reptiles, amphibians, small mammals and birds. My responsibilities included feeding, cleaning, and general husbandry for each species. I also have experience caring for senior animals, including administering medication and performing nail trims, so I'm comfortable with pets who need a little extra attention and care. I currently work part-time and am finishing up my Associate's degree, which gives me a good amount of flexibility during the week to care for your fur babies. On days I work an 8-hour shift, there may be a slightly longer gap between potty breaks, but I always plan ahead and communicate clearly so you know exactly what to expect. Providing consistent, quality care for your animals is a top priority for me, no matter my schedule. When I care for your pets in their own environment, I bring nothing but comfort and love. I give excellent cuddles and scritches, and genuinely enjoy enriching their day with play. I know when to be calm and reassuring, and when to be playful and energetic, adapting to match each pet's unique personality. Aiden did an exceptional job watching our dog and house sitting while we were away for a week. Our dog was clearly well-loved while we were gone, with plenty of outside time and playing. Grace did a good job sitting with our senior pets, who all have their special needs. One of our dogs was a little startled when she arrived, and she reached out to let me know, so we were able to work through it. They (2 dogs and 1 cat) all bonded with her and she had a successful pet sit with us. She tried to understand their routines and reached out with questions. They clearly loved hanging out together with Grace from the pictures she shared over the four days she was with them. When we arrived home, our pets were relaxed and she had left the house in good order, which is always appreciated.
Heather was a last minute booking and we were a little nervous, having never used a service like Rover.com before. Once we met her, we immediately got a good feeling about her and our dog and cat were comfortable with her immediately. In fact, I mentioned Heather’s name when we got home and our dog cocked her head and raced to the door to see if Heather was coming. It was so nice to know their our fur babies were in such capable hands while we were away. We would hire Heather again in a heartbeat!
Tanya took great care of our dog, Greta. She is a bit anxious usually but was instantly comfortable with Tanya who obviously knows how to connect with animals. Wonderful sitter. Sara must have given the fur babies extra attention because when she came back to retrieve something that she forgot my dog went crazy wanting to see her and whimpered at the door when she left. A little hurt that my baby appears to have missed Sara more than me😂.
