Safety, trust & environment

For cats, I check their litter box everyday to see if it needs to be scooped or changed. I love dedicating time during pet-sitting to play with pets as they are able. Also, taking dogs to go outside and get some fresh air, or go on walks if they are able. As someone who takes medication myself, I am very tactful about staying on top of animal's medications too. I try to cultivate a safe environment where your pet can feel cared for, and at ease in your absence. For Boarding, I have a large backyard we can play in, as well as a big neighborhood to walk them in!

Information Grace K. would like to know about your pet

I have no preferences besides that your animal is friendly and is preferably potty trained (for cats and dogs)! otherwise please let me know ahead of time.

A typical day

For more high energy pets, I like to break out the pet toys, and let them run around or chase/catch things. For cats this depends of their temperament and comfort level, I match their energy in socializing with me. I also like to have leisure time, keeping them company. For dogs, regardless of their age I like to take them on walks. If they are elderly (and able) I do something called a “sniff walk”. This is where I will take them on a slow, short walk and let them stop and stiff their surroundings as long as they please. I did this with my own elderly dog before she passed away, and could tell it made a difference to her quality of life.

Taking care of pets since age 12.

Pet care experience

I have lived with dogs my entire life, and am a lover of animals. In addition to caring for my own animals, I have been providing pet care, and sitting services to family friends, and neighbors since age 12. This includes walking, checkins, and in-home pet sitting. I have a lot of experience caring for elderly, and terminally ill dogs and cats. I also have experience caring for pet rats.

Grace did a good job sitting with our senior pets, who all have their special needs. One of our dogs was a little startled when she arrived, and she reached out to let me know, so we were able to work through it. They (2 dogs and 1 cat) all bonded with her and she had a successful pet sit with us. She tried to understand their routines and reached out with questions. They clearly loved hanging out together with Grace from the pictures she shared over the four days she was with them. When we arrived home, our pets were relaxed and she had left the house in good order, which is always appreciated.

Grace was fantastic as she stayed with our young energetic dog and two cats. She nicely took care of the animals and house. We would happily have her back anytime.

Grace was amazing with my two girls! I was nervous leaving them with a new sitter but I could tell they felt comfortable around her. She sent updates and did a great job at communicating with me. Will definitely be using her again! Thank you Grace!!!
