About: Hello, my senior dog of 14 years passed away recently, so I am looking to get my pup fix in while also helping you out! You can expect an attentive, caring and fun foster environment when your pet stays with me. I am an active individual who works from home and doesnt mind stepping out of the house 3 to 4 times a day to exercise and play with your pets! I currently live a block away from Duke's east campus, so your pup will have access to beautiful walks around the East Campus loop, the Trinity Park neighborhood, and the Eno River state park, if they are up for it! 🤠 I also have plenty of dog toys, dog beds, and a kennel if your dog is crate trained and prefers to sleep in a crate! I currently work from home, so your pet will have unlimited access to myself and my apartment while we stay together! As mentioned above, I love being active with pets, so whatever your animals outdoor needs are, Im sure that I can fill them! I have easy access to Duke's East Campus loop, the Trinity Park Neighborhood, and the Eno River state park for all play and exercise needs. I am a physically active person, and would love to take your pet out as much as they desire! I do have a kennel available for dogs who prefer to be crated, and if not, I have free roam dog beds, couches and human beds available for all pets who enjoy them!
“David is fantastic! We had a last-minute dog sitter cancelation and wow did David come to the rescue. Our two dogs, one 6-month-old puppy and one super anxious 2-year-old spent the entire day over at David's, and honestly...I have never seen them happier from a doggy daycare pick-up! And we have done quite a few Rovers/daycares. The pups immediately loved David and his huge backyard. David was super responsive, asked for and delivered on our care instructions, and just provided an overall great booking/sitting experience. He will for sure be our go-to dog sitter from here on out!”

“Jade was the best! She is so sweet and caring, our puppy is only 6 months old with a lot of energy and growing so big and Jade watched her for several days in a row. She noticed multiple habits and quirks we forgot to mention and definitely developed a bond with our pup in the time she watched her. Jade was very intentional with updates which we appreciated overall we highly recommend, we would definitely book again (:”

“Alex was so awesome! He was able to keep my sweet lillypad and helped me out tremendously! So thank you alex! I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the surrounding areas!”

“Anitra was so quick to respond! She would send me pup updates throughout the day. Seeing Sydney in a calm and loving place made my day easier knowing she was well taken care of and it was plus seeing the dog park right next to her home! Would highly recommended!!”

“My dog had a great daycare experience with Julie! She took excellent care of my dog and kept me updated with photos. He came home happy and relaxed—clearly well loved and exercised. I’d definitely trust her again and highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with two bigger dogs (German Shepard and chow/golden mix) and always had responsibility with taking care of them. Although I do not have any dogs of my own at the moment, I am always the first to watch my family and friends dogs such as Bernese mountain dog, doodles, Bassett Hound, and German Sheppards! In the last two years, I have been a recurring sitter for a doodle, chow, chocolate lab, and other breeds. All dogs were through friends, referrals, and people in our building so not many reviews on here but I am sure I can send their numbers if referrals are needed. I just moved to Durham but looking to help dog sit here and hope can find some new favorite dogs to sit:) I work hybrid, so I can schedule any meetings around bathroom/dog park breaks. I have experience taking dogs on multiple 2+ mile walks a day if needed. We have a couch cover, so happy for dogs to cuddle up on the couch! We have a fenced in back yard so can play together outside! Happy to have the dog sleep in the bedroom but prefer them off the bed if possible!
“Chelsea and David were amazing! When I picked up my pup, she was happy and tuckered out! I would definitely bring my girl back to them when I come back into town. Can't recommend enough!”

About: As a lifelong dog owner and animal lover, I understand how important it is to find a trustworthy and caring sitter for your pet. I know that every dog has their own personality and needs, whether it’s energetic playtime, peaceful companionship, or extra patience for senior pups. With a background in nursing, I’m attentive to details, comfortable administering medications if needed, and prepared to handle any situation with care and confidence. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I’ll make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and tailored care while they're under my care! Caring for dogs has always been a part of my daily life. Whether it’s morning walks, playtime, or just offering companionship, I love the time I spend time with animals. I prioritize making sure every pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for, whether it’s a quick check-in, a long walk, or an overnight stay. My schedule is flexible, so I can easily adapt to meet the needs of both you and your pup, ensuring they get the attention and care they deserve! I have a Golden Retriever who loves dogs and a dog park in my building so your pup will get lots of opportunity for play. I strive to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible - feeding schedules, walk times, play sessions, and any special care they need. In a client’s home, I respect their space while ensuring their pet feels at ease, providing plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. About: **PLEASE RESPOND IN TIMELY MANNER AFTER RECEIVE REPLY TO REQUEST. GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. 🙏🏾** I've taken care of family and friends' dogs since 2010, starting in Charlotte, NC. Longest I've kept one dog is for 2 weeks. I love taking care of dogs as if they were my own. Currently live in Durham, NC in my childhood home. I work from home, so I'm the perfect sitter that can entertain your dog while you're at work, away on vacay/trip, or just need some me time. I am a patient person and do have experience training a couple of dogs from not fearing their crate, knowing boundaries within house, and cease whining. I work from home Monday-Friday from 8-4:30 pm. I occasionally have appts and other events on the weekends, including attending church worship service. I'm at home the majority of the time. I have a pretty open concept in my house, but I close off doors to bedrooms and bathroom. I sometimes close off my hallway to keep in a secluded place in case of visitors or go to sleep at night. I take dogs out on leash, I currently do not have a fenced yard. I spend quality time with them and engage often and show plenty of love.

I've learned to handle everything from playful puppies to senior pets who need more patience and attention. I enjoy spending time with pets, taking them for walks, feeding them, and ensuring their happiness and safety at all times. A perfect place for your pet 🏡🐾 I live in a spacious two-story house with a basement where pets can play and rest in complete comfort. Here, your pet will have space, fun, and lots of love every day. ❤️
About: I’ve always been an animal lover. I grew up with dogs: German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Labs, and Dachshunds. Being observant and responding quickly and naturally to a dog’s body language has served me well. I’m able to read their behavior and learn their habits, which helps them get comfortable around me and know I’m someone they can trust. I’m eager to share my life with pups in need of a supportive, caring environment while their parents are away. I’m flexible, prompt, and highly communicative. More importantly, your dog’s wellbeing is my top priority. I know that owners can get busy, so every stay with me entails all the cuddles, treats, and playtime your pup desires! It’s a win-win-win situation, and you’ll get lots of photos and texts so you can take a peek at what we’re up to. You have nothing to worry about while your dog is in my care, so you and your pup both get a great vacation. I work with small to large size dogs, and can host more than one at a time. I also have experience administering medication. I have a very sweet dog named Haddie, a golden doodle, along with a cat, Cinder. When we do our meet-and-greet, Haddie, Cinder and I will get to know your dog, and you and I can go over anything and everything that’s relevant to ensuring a successful stay! I currently work from home, so I will have plenty of time to play and lounge with your pup! I love any excuse to get outside or take your dog for a car ride. I have a fenced in backyard, along with a dog park close by, for your dog to get lots of outdoor time and space. Haddie and Cinder, my dog and cat, are also here to keep your pup company. I can also crate your dog if that is a part of their regular routine.
“My dog Finley was so happy to see Laura every morning and so sad to leave her house! He really bonded with her and her dog Marley despite his separation anxiety, and I’m so grateful for the positive experience they gave us!”
