About: Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2006, until 2013 where I took a leap in a different field of work. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my current lovely mutt. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade. I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about. A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. I like keeping basic training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.

About: I’ve pet sat my friends animals, and they’ve had so many! Senior dogs that have accidents and have behavioral issues. Exotic pets, of many kids. Every morning, I fill the cat and water bowl in my room, weekly I clean the bowls. For my dogs, whenever my parents don’t feed them cause they are out, I feed them and fill their water. I brush their coats, and try to give them baths every few weeks or so! However the pet parents would like, but I care for what is best for their health. I understand each pet is different and needs different things. I can bathe the animals depending on behavior, my right leg doesn't haven't as much feeling since surgery and cant handle a lot of big pressure.

I maintain consistent feeding schedules, provide daily exercise and playtime, and ensure their safety by always supervising. They have designated rest areas (although I do allow animals on furniture), plenty of enrichment activities/toys, and lots of affection of course! I also have a large yard where my dogs love to run around and play with toys (when outside, they are always supervised) and a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks! I am always keeping my eyes on them, making sure they are healthy, eating/drinking, and exercising correctly. In a clients home is a bit different as this is not my personal space. I tend to follow the routine/schedule exactly as written and complete the usual duties such as feeding, walking, playtime, waste/litter cleanup, etc. I keep the home clean, ensure safety over the property and animals, and provide regular updates and photos to owners during each visit. I always double check and make sure all pets are comfortable, safe, and have everything they need in their space before I leave.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
