Your pet's second best friend
A few years ago, I lost both my very senior dogs, which I adopted as puppies from the shelter. As you can imagine, there's a dog-shaped space in my life. I'm not ready to adopt again, but that means your dog has a second home!

Ratings and reviews
I did a lot of home visits before we landed with Amy and I was so glad for it. She has an excellent space for dogs to play in the shade and run around and have balls to play with and be social with other dogs and kids who can interact with them. And they are also inside with family members hanging out on the sofa and getting to just "be" with the warmth of people around. I felt reassured and confident my pup was having a good experience. Amy is attentive and asks all the right questions to know what my dog needed. I highly recommend her! She was clearly happy when I picked her up, and instead of being ready to jump in the car, wanted to show me the balls and play with her at Amy's! That's the best review (from my dog) that I can imagine!

Our dog was in great hands! A wonderful environment with lots of play. Thanks Amy!

Always my first choice when it comes to sitters.

George always comes home tired but happy from Amy's house.

Amy tried hard to accommodate my erratic drop off and pick up of the dog. The dog seemed fine when I picked him up. She did not give me as many updates on the dog as the girl I’ve used in the past, although she does seem to have a very busy life.
Amy goes above and beyond! We have a senior dog who requires medication and special attention and she does such a wonderful job taking care of her.

Schedule
Other than errands, I’m home all day with your dog. (If they like car rides, they’re welcome to join me for school dropoff and pickup!)
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
My yard is fenced and shady, and there are plenty of sidewalks for adventures around the neighborhood. If your pet needs a crate, please provide it. I almost always have more than one dog at a time, so yours needs to be dog-friendly or at least dog-tolerant. I also have twin 11-year-olds—both great with dogs, but yours should not be kid-reactive.
A typical day
Your dog will get breakfast and run around the yard, sniffing new smells and looking for squirrels. After that, I will take my kids to school, and your dog will be crated or not, depending on your/their preference. During the day, we will play in the yard and/or go for a walk around the neighborhood. Your dog can snuggle with me or my sons on the couch after supper and before bed.
