Experienced, friendly, & reliable!
I am currently taking a break post-grad school, full time dog walking & pet sitting in Durham. I am very communicative, reliable, and have a flexible schedule. I value providing a safe, engaging environment for pets, meeting their needs, and respecting the cleanliness and privacy of your home. In general, I enjoy spending time with animals and tend to have a calming presence with them, especially with shy and anxious clients. I also have my own dog, a rescue mutt named Cricket who is reactive, so I have a good deal of experience with leash reactivity. I’ve personally cared for animals my entire life including many dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and others. I worked as an Animal Caretaker at a vet for over a year when I was younger (lots of experiencing handling, cleaning, and administering meds). I love walking, playing, petting and even training basic and more advanced obedience skills. I’ve worked with many different types of dogs, especially working breeds and feel confident and comfortable working with dogs with “high-maintenance” needs. I’ve also sitted for less traditional pets including bunnies, chickens, pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, parrots, and fish!

I value giving my own dog healthy exercise and one-on-one time everyday. We do all sorts of activities from basic training, long walks, playing with toys and frisbees, to snuggling, grooming, and lounging.

Taylor is the best! Zorro loves his walks with Taylor. Taylor takes great care of Zorro, especially when it’s hot outside and he’s getting tired.
Taylor was awesome! Really helpful and flexible with different aspects of the care for our cat. Like the pick up/drop off for our keys and some last minute scheduling that we appreciated!
Taylor has been wonderful to work with. Came for a meet and great and then did the first drop in visit with our new puppy that same week. Taylor is clearly very skilled with dogs and a reliable communicator.
Taylor takes the best care of my cat! I feel so much better leaving town knowing that he is in her care. She is detailed and thoughtful and so trustworthy. Couldn’t recommend her more!

Schedule
I work a lot from home and teach part-time, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I’m able to accommodate longer set schedules as well as short-term or last minute requests!

- I love when owners are able to clearly articulate their dog’s needs. If your dog likes to have a strict routine, prefers to play with a specific toy, or really needs white noise to sleep well, those are details that I’m happy to receive!
