About: I grew up with two bigger dogs (German Shepard and chow/golden mix) and always had responsibility with taking care of them. Although I do not have any dogs of my own at the moment, I am always the first to watch my family and friends dogs such as Bernese mountain dog, doodles, Bassett Hound, and German Sheppards! In the last two years, I have been a recurring sitter for a doodle, chow, chocolate lab, and other breeds. All dogs were through friends, referrals, and people in our building so not many reviews on here but I am sure I can send their numbers if referrals are needed. I just moved to Durham but looking to help dog sit here and hope can find some new favorite dogs to sit:) I work hybrid, so I can schedule any meetings around bathroom/dog park breaks. I have experience taking dogs on multiple 2+ mile walks a day if needed. We have a couch cover, so happy for dogs to cuddle up on the couch! I currently work from home, so your pet will have unlimited access to myself and my apartment while we stay together! I have easy access to Duke's East Campus loop, the Trinity Park Neighborhood, and the Eno River state park for all play and exercise needs. About: My entire life has involved animals of many types. I've rescued cats, dogs, and ferrets as well as wildlife in need. Animals are such a huge part of who I am and I love taking care of them. I'm very detail oriented and follow directions to the letter. I am able to give pets sub-q fluids if needed, as well as giving meds taken as part of a daily regimen. I'm also a firm believer in positive reinforcement with pet behavior. If your pup loves to play ball, loves walks or simply enjoys laying around getting some scritches I'm onboard. If your cat needs a calm, quiet place to hang out, or prefers playing with toys I'm able to provide that too. If you have ferrets I'll be over the moon happy to engage with them. Those little ones are my spirit animal. I telework on Tuesday and Friday, and am home every weekend. Depending on the needs of your pup I could do a day here or there, or a long term stay if your dog can handle being home alone on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Adaptability is one of my strongest traits. 😊 I live in a townhome, but there is a dog-park right across from my home and plenty of places to walk. I like to tailor my care to the individual needs of the pet, since they are like humans and every one has a unique personality. If your pet is a cat, they would have the run of the townhome except the master bedroom where my 15 year old cat stays (she has no interest in coming out of that room).

About: Most of my experience is with dogs of friends or co-workers. I generally keep their dogs at their place where they are most comfortable and take them out frequently for walks/runs or whatever they'd like to do. So long as the dog is house trained and not on the "forbidden breed list" at the apartments I stay, they are welcome to my home too. I've sat a Pointer/Dalmation mix, Maltese mix, Shepherd mix, Chow Chow, Boxer, Cane Corso, and 2 Weimaraners in the past. My fulltime job is a nurse, and I only work 36 hours a week. I don't really consider pet sitting or walking a job because I love dogs so much. Just looking to make some extra income and maybe start my own business someday. I have a laid back personality and dogs tend to take to me immediately or at least stay true to their breeds. Chow Chow was my brother-in-law's dog who barked at me a good 3-4 times before she knew I wasn't a total stranger. Bothered me none.

About: I’ve been having my dog since he was a baby, so I am really good with puppy’s with high and low energy. I love all animals I take care of, give them the same care and attention I do my baby. I do everything that you will ask me to do. When your baby’s in my care they are always safe. I work in children afterschool care at Lakewood ymca, since school is going to close for the summer that means I won’t have a job for the next three months. I will be free all days and weekends. I take care of a dog and a cat, I take my dog on daily walks twice/three times a day for his potty breaks. They both get fed 2 times a day and 2/47 playtime and love.

About: Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2006, until 2013 where I took a leap in a different field of work. I use to move all over the country but I am home and hoping to start pet sitting as my main job. I have a guinea pig by the named Tikka Teacake and she is a little siren but she is my 3rd guinea pig. I am a non-smoker and prefer days curled up with fluffy creatures and a good book. In regards to my experience I have worked at pets resorts such as Sunny Acres where I had a few loyal dogs that I dearly miss. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my current lovely mutt. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade. I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about. A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods.
