“Krystene and her family are awesome! My dog Wilbur has stayed with them twice now and we had a great experience both times. Wilbur can have a lot of separation anxiety, so it was amazing to see how comfortable he was with Krystene even after staying with her only once. Would definitely recommend Krystene!”

“Thank you Camila and Lino for taking care of Buckshot. I had concerns about him having separation anxiety and fireworks trauma. They provided the care he needed to get through NYs eve. And no worries about anxiety, they made him feel at home. Not only did we have a vacation, but our dog did also. We will be return customers.”

“Knowing someone will love your fur baby as much as you do is a huge relief when you have to be far away. Daily pics and updates were great and just what I needed. My fur baby returned happy, healthy, and tired from having so much fun. Thank you Anitra!”

“Cathryn was really good to Lucy! Her children loved her like their own. Great yard and very dog friendly. We learned Lucy is not good with resident cats so she won’t be back but we highly recommend for others!”

“Emily was great with our 9-month old puppy, Rosie! We were looking for someone who could handle the extra energy of a puppy and be patient as she continues to learn. This was our first time using Rover and Emily was super responsive and provided great updates while Rosie was in her care. Rosie came home happy and tired from playing with Emily's other pups. We would definitely book with Emily again - it was a relief to know Rosie was in such capable hands.”

“We are so grateful that we found such an amazing family to love on our Daisy Belle while we are away. Daisy has extreme stranger anxiety, and they took good care of her despite the challenges she has. She came back home happy and content and we could tell she had a good stay. Highly recommend!”

“Alice responded to questions quickly and sent photos of our two pups while she was caring for them. It was their first first time belng left with someone else, so she understood they might be apprehensive. She communicated observations with us, which we appreciated. We were. grateful for her help while we had to be away for meetings. We did tip her when we picked up our pups.”

“Even though my booking was so last minute, Bruna was able to accommodate me and my Koa. Bruna was responsive and kept in touch with me regarding Koa. “Alex was great with Ziggy. He sent us photos and updates daily and it was easy to see he enjoys dogs and cats. Ziggy made new friends while staying with Alex and looked comfortable and well cared for.”

“Julia did an amazing job caring for our dog, Nova! She sent lots of pictures and was accommodating when we needed an extra day due to a delayed flight. Our dog is anxious and Julia did everything she could to make her comfortable and calm. I highly recommend Julia and would love to have her watch our dog again!”

“Denetra is a wonderful pet sitter. She cares about both the physical and mental health of my dog. During their time together, she works on his training and he is always in good spirits at drop off and pick up”

“My min poodle Finn is often hesitant to go with strangers but he was happy to immeidately take off with Rian, no hesitation. She was really good with him and I'm not sure he wanted to leave LOL! I give her extra points because in spite of good directions and a GPS I was unable to find her building at drop off AND pick up! She is near a large and lovely park with lots of other dog walkers, which is a perfect environment for him. I really appreciated her photos, and her TLC for me as well as Finn.”

“Erin and her hubby are amazing! They took such good care of my pup, sent daily pics and vids, and even administered her meds. My baby girl had a great time on her “vacation” and got along well with Lani. I would definitely recommend them and will certainly be using them again! Thanks so much, Erin!”

“I can’t recommend Krystina C. enough! She was absolutely amazing with my dog—so kind and attentive. My pup loved all the walks and playtime, especially with her dog! It was clear from the start that she truly cares about animals. As a bonus, she even gave me some great recommendations for new food. If you're looking for someone who will treat your furry friend like their own, Krystina is the one to call!”

“Kim was absolutely amazing with our two senior cats! She followed their feeding routine perfectly, sent the cutest daily pics and updates, and kept us so informed and at ease the whole time. One of our cats warmed up to her right away, and the other one is a certified weirdo with strangers who actually chose to be around her instead of hiding under the bed (for our weirdo, that's basically a five star review). We will definitely be booking Kim again and highly recommend her to anyone who wants their furry babies in wonderful hands.”

“Paul was absolutely wonderful to have watch Rudy while we were out of town. Paul even taught us that “soothing cat music” on our Alexa device was a thing! Thank you so much for making our first Rover experience so easy, Paul!”

“Blake was thorough and consistent with taking care of my cat’s needs! I really appreciated their daily updates, cute pictures of my pet, and their flexibility. I would definitely choose Blake again to watch my cat!”

“Bell was so intentional throughout the process - from understanding what my cat needed to thoroughly letting me know how my cat was doing while I was away. She even found him a fun bird channel on YouTube to play for him. I felt at peace knowing my cat was being cared for and considered from afar. Definitely recommend her!”

“Brian is incredibly responsive, which has always been very reassuring as a pet parent. We really appreciate him taking care of Chai and giving her the love and attention she needs.”

“Kristin did a great job with my cat and handled the somewhat complicated instructions for getting into my apartment building perfectly! I appreciated her flexibility in accommodating timing needs as well.”

“Can’t recommend Alex enough! We always come back home to a super happy cat! Alex has amazing communication, sends the best updates/photos, is kind and goes above and beyond when taking care of our dear Kaju! Our favorite go-to sitter!”

“Will definitely be my go-to sitter! My cats love her (and my corgi has also decided she can be a new best friend), and she took the time to really lovingly care for the kitties. Awesome person, and went above and beyond! (Even vacuumed up some extra kibble my kitties left behind) 100/10, will be hiring again.”

“Kyle & Jessica were so great with our two cats. They sent photos, gave updates and were very communicative before the visits even began. I will definitely use them again in the future!”

“Katrin is very communicative, attentive and prompt. My cat has extra needs because she’s a senior and Katrin goes above and beyond to take care of her and give me peace of mind. Will book with her for as long as she wants to continue to watch my pet!”

“Lydia Rose did a great job pet sitting for our indoor cat. She spend lots of time giving our girl attention as well as allowing her time on our screened porch. Lydia Rose sent many photos each time, which we really enjoyed. She was conscientious and responsible and we will definitely use her again.”

“Super caring and compassionate! My cat is super clingy and I was really worried about leaving her alone but Joy took great care of her and was really observant too(I accidentally left a desiccant packet in the automatic feeder and she noticed it). I will definitely ask her to petsit next time too.”

About: I grew up with two bigger dogs (German Shepard and chow/golden mix) and always had responsibility with taking care of them. Although I do not have any dogs of my own at the moment, I am always the first to watch my family and friends dogs such as Bernese mountain dog, doodles, Bassett Hound, and German Sheppards! In the last two years, I have been a recurring sitter for a doodle, chow, chocolate lab, and other breeds. All dogs were through friends, referrals, and people in our building so not many reviews on here but I am sure I can send their numbers if referrals are needed. I just moved to Durham but looking to help dog sit here and hope can find some new favorite dogs to sit:) I work hybrid, so I can schedule any meetings around bathroom/dog park breaks. I have experience taking dogs on multiple 2+ mile walks a day if needed. We have a couch cover, so happy for dogs to cuddle up on the couch! We have a fenced in back yard so can play together outside! Happy to have the dog sleep in the bedroom but prefer them off the bed if possible!
About: Hello, my senior dog of 14 years passed away recently, so I am looking to get my pup fix in while also helping you out! You can expect an attentive, caring and fun foster environment when your pet stays with me. I am an active individual who works from home and doesnt mind stepping out of the house 3 to 4 times a day to exercise and play with your pets! I currently live a block away from Duke's east campus, so your pup will have access to beautiful walks around the East Campus loop, the Trinity Park neighborhood, and the Eno River state park, if they are up for it! 🤠 I also have plenty of dog toys, dog beds, and a kennel if your dog is crate trained and prefers to sleep in a crate! I currently work from home, so your pet will have unlimited access to myself and my apartment while we stay together! As mentioned above, I love being active with pets, so whatever your animals outdoor needs are, Im sure that I can fill them! I have easy access to Duke's East Campus loop, the Trinity Park Neighborhood, and the Eno River state park for all play and exercise needs. I am a physically active person, and would love to take your pet out as much as they desire! I do have a kennel available for dogs who prefer to be crated, and if not, I have free roam dog beds, couches and human beds available for all pets who enjoy them!
About: For as long as I can remember, I've had dogs and cats, and they've taught me so much about love, loyalty, and responsibility. Caring for them has always been an important part of my life; I enjoy spending time with them, understanding their needs, and giving them the love they deserve. I've learned to handle everything from playful puppies to senior pets who need more patience and attention. To me, every animal is part of the family, and I always care for them with the same love I would give my own. 🐾 Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine, as I have ample free time and am fully available to dedicate attention, love, and energy to animals. I can easily adapt to different schedules and needs, allowing me to offer consistent, responsible, and dedicated care. I enjoy spending time with pets, taking them for walks, feeding them, and ensuring their happiness and safety at all times. A perfect place for your pet 🏡🐾 I live in a spacious two-story house with a basement where pets can play and rest in complete comfort. It's a quiet, safe space, free from annoying noises, ideal for them to feel right at home. Plus, there's a park nearby where I can take them for walks, runs, and to enjoy the fresh air. Here, your pet will have space, fun, and lots of love every day. ❤️
“Alex was so awesome! He was able to keep my sweet lillypad and helped me out tremendously! So thank you alex! I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the surrounding areas!”

About: My entire life has involved animals of many types. I've rescued cats, dogs, and ferrets as well as wildlife in need. Animals are such a huge part of who I am and I love taking care of them. I'm very detail oriented and follow directions to the letter. I am able to give pets sub-q fluids if needed, as well as giving meds taken as part of a daily regimen. I'm also a firm believer in positive reinforcement with pet behavior. If your pup loves to play ball, loves walks or simply enjoys laying around getting some scritches I'm onboard. If your cat needs a calm, quiet place to hang out, or prefers playing with toys I'm able to provide that too. If you have ferrets I'll be over the moon happy to engage with them. Those little ones are my spirit animal. I telework on Tuesday and Friday, and am home every weekend. Depending on the needs of your pup I could do a day here or there, or a long term stay if your dog can handle being home alone on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Adaptability is one of my strongest traits. 😊 I live in a townhome, but there is a dog-park right across from my home and plenty of places to walk. I like to tailor my care to the individual needs of the pet, since they are like humans and every one has a unique personality. If your pet is a cat, they would have the run of the townhome except the master bedroom where my 15 year old cat stays (she has no interest in coming out of that room).
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for around 10 years. I also have babysat different aged children and am very prompt and responsible. I hope to be able to help you too. I’m currently doing research at UNC and training for my collegiate sports season. I have lots of time in the middle of the day to walk! I take my own dogs on walks every day, clean them, and feed them daily. I love them very much and take good care of them.
About: **PLEASE RESPOND IN TIMELY MANNER AFTER RECEIVE REPLY TO REQUEST. GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. 🙏🏾** I've taken care of family and friends' dogs since 2010, starting in Charlotte, NC. Longest I've kept one dog is for 2 weeks. I love taking care of dogs as if they were my own. Currently live in Durham, NC in my childhood home. I work from home, so I'm the perfect sitter that can entertain your dog while you're at work, away on vacay/trip, or just need some me time. I am a patient person and do have experience training a couple of dogs from not fearing their crate, knowing boundaries within house, and cease whining. I work from home Monday-Friday from 8-4:30 pm. I occasionally have appts and other events on the weekends, including attending church worship service. I'm at home the majority of the time. I have a pretty open concept in my house, but I close off doors to bedrooms and bathroom. I sometimes close off my hallway to keep in a secluded place in case of visitors or go to sleep at night. I take dogs out on leash, I currently do not have a fenced yard. I spend quality time with them and engage often and show plenty of love.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs through family and friends. Whenever my sister travels, I look after her four French Bull Dogs, making sure they stay on their usual routines and get plenty of attention and love. I also regularly care for a friend's Pit Bull mix when she's put of town. I'm comfortable managing multiple dogs, different personalities, and varying energy levels, and I always treat them like they're my own. I currently work from home. I am available to take your Pet out before and after work, breaks and lunch. I am off on the weekends and can provide more flexibility. I can provide one on one Care for your Pet if needed. I have a huge back yard where they can run and play when needed.
“Camila and Lino were great sitters. Great backyard for playtime that wore out my dog. Were very responsive to coordinate pick up/drop off times. Would highly recommend.”

“Jade was the best! She is so sweet and caring, our puppy is only 6 months old with a lot of energy and growing so big and Jade watched her for several days in a row. She noticed multiple habits and quirks we forgot to mention and definitely developed a bond with our pup in the time she watched her. Jade was very intentional with updates which we appreciated overall we highly recommend, we would definitely book again (:”

About: welcome your furbabies into my home like honored guests, creating a peaceful, nurturing space where they can truly relax. I'm trained in nervous system regulation and offer a calm, grounded presence that animals naturally respond to. I practice Reiki and understand how to support your dog/cat's wellbeing through gentle energy work, co-regulation, and attuned care. My 8-year-old is also an animal lover, so your pet will have a gentle companion for play and cuddles. Whether your furry friend needs quiet rest or joyful connection, I meet them where they are with patience and presence. I run a virtual business from home, which means I have complete control over my schedule and can fully accommodate your pet's needs. I work primarily from my home office, so I'm present throughout the day for walks, play, meals, and cuddles. This flexibility allows me to provide attentive, consistent care without rushing off to another job. Whether your pet needs multiple potty breaks, prefers company during the day, or thrives on a specific routine, I can adapt my schedule to match what works best for them. Having this freedom means your furry family member gets my full presence and attention. Your furbaby will be welcomed into a calm, nurturing environment with plenty of space to feel comfortable and safe. I have a fenced backyard for supervised outdoor play and potty breaks, and quiet indoor spaces where they can rest and relax. If your dog is crate-trained and you'd like them to have that familiar space, you're welcome to bring their crate and I'll make sure it's set up as their cozy den. I keep a predictable routine with regular feeding times, walks, play sessions, and rest periods. Your pet will have access to fresh water at all times, and I'm attentive to their body language and needs throughout the day. My 8-year-old and I treat animal guests with gentle respect, giving them space when needed and affection when they're ready for it. I'm also happy to follow any special instructions for medications, dietary needs, or routines that help your pet feel most at ease. My goal is to make your pet feel like they're visiting a trusted friend, not just being "boarded."
“Jessica took such great care of our Addie girl! We were needing care while we were out of town and Addie loved it. She had excellent communication and organization. She sent pictures regularly.”

About: I have 5 cats of my own as well as a small dog, and I cherish all animals. I have been petsitting for family and friends since I was about 10, and am flexibly available to take care of your babies when you need. I'm a high-school senior about to graduate, so during the summer I will have plenty of free time to devote to taking care of your animals! I will do anything requested of me regarding caring for your pets in your home, including keeping them company, going on walks, and giving them plenty of love.
About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs my whole life! I know how it feels to have someone else take care of your animals so I will for sure to give them all the loves, treats, and play time to ensure they get the best care while your gone! I am a nurse so I would be able to come and visit on my days off, or after work. Since I only work a couple of days I have a very flexible schedule! I would make sure to always have any dog on a leash and be attentive to my surroundings. As well as making sure they eat the proper food and notice if anything was out of the ordinary
“Bell is reliable, attentive, friendly, and my dog loved her! He is a fearful and sometimes stubborn baby, she was able to get him out for walks on the first visit when it has often taken people multiple times to get to that point. She was very quick and thorough in her responses and put me at ease that my pup would be okay while I was out of town. We will definitely consider her again in the future!”

About: Most of my experience is with dogs of friends or co-workers. I generally keep their dogs at their place where they are most comfortable and take them out frequently for walks/runs or whatever they'd like to do. So long as the dog is house trained and not on the "forbidden breed list" at the apartments I stay, they are welcome to my home too. I've sat a Pointer/Dalmation mix, Maltese mix, Shepherd mix, Chow Chow, Boxer, Cane Corso, and 2 Weimaraners in the past. My fulltime job is a nurse, and I only work 36 hours a week. I don't really consider pet sitting or walking a job because I love dogs so much. Just looking to make some extra income and maybe start my own business someday. I have a laid back personality and dogs tend to take to me immediately or at least stay true to their breeds. Chow Chow was my brother-in-law's dog who barked at me a good 3-4 times before she knew I wasn't a total stranger. Bothered me none.
“Rachael was absolutely WONDERFUL and she truly went above and beyond!! She was very responsive, incredibly kind, and dependable. My senior dog was definitely in great hands and I appreciated all of the little updates and photos of the pets so much :)”

“Blake has been a huge help with our puppy! She has been very available and flexible coming by to walk our dog. Our puppy has a lot of stranger anxiety and she has been very patient and understanding with him. We will definitely continue to use Blake as our dog walker!”

About: I’ve been having my dog since he was a baby, so I am really good with puppy’s with high and low energy. I love all animals I take care of, give them the same care and attention I do my baby. I do everything that you will ask me to do. When your baby’s in my care they are always safe. I work in children afterschool care at Lakewood ymca, since school is going to close for the summer that means I won’t have a job for the next three months. I will be free all days and weekends. I take care of a dog and a cat, I take my dog on daily walks twice/three times a day for his potty breaks. They both get fed 2 times a day and 2/47 playtime and love.

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and have experience caring for both big dogs, small dogs, and cats. Back home in Tennessee, I have 2 Yorkies and a Goldendoodle, and I’ve also helped neighbors, friends, and family care for their pets over the years. I’m patient, dependable, and love making pets feel comfortable and cared for. I currently have a very flexible schedule that allows me to work around your pet’s specific needs and routine. I typically work mornings during the week and am usually home by mid afternoon, but I can adjust my schedule as needed for walks, potty breaks, feedings, playtime, and medication schedules. I make it a priority to give pets plenty of attention, consistency, and companionship so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I always do my best to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while in my care. I pay close attention to each pet’s normal routine, energy level, feeding schedule, and any special instructions so they can stay as stress free as possible. I’m experienced with walks, potty breaks, playtime, crating if needed, and giving pets space when they need it. I also make sure owners stay updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are being well cared for.
“My dogs loved Taylor for their walks while we were on Vacation…I thoroughly enjoyed meeting her at our “meet up” visit and felt completely comfortable with her abilities and history of owning and caring for dogs and other animals since she grew up on a farm…Highly recommend her as a Rover and will engage her services again in the future with complete confidence…”

About: Hi there! I love animals and would love to help watch your pets while you're away. I'll make sure your pets stay happy, safe, and comfortable in their own space! I work from home, which gives me the perfect schedule for pet care! I'm available all day long for boarding, daytime check-ins, and walks. Because I'm home so much, your pet will rarely be left alone and will get tons of attention, cuddles, and care throughout the entire day. Trust and safety mean everything to me. When boarding pets at my place, I make sure the environment is completely safe, calm, and pet-proofed so they feel right at home. I’m super observant and love keeping pet parents in the loop, so I’ll send you plenty of quick photo updates throughout the day so you know they're doing great!
“Alexander did an amazing job with my fur-son Axel who is also my son! He is very communicative, flexible, kind, and I can tell Axel was under good care! I would highly recommend his services. Thanks so much!”

“Michael has been fantastic! He was so kind as I messed up my bookings (a few times) when I started needing a dog walker more frequently due to job changes! He is our regular:) Puppies are safe and happy!”

About: Hi All, My name is Alessandria but I prefer to be called Alekx and no the K is not a typo. My hair color is subject to change but it's just dyed hair braided into my natural hair. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2006, until 2013 where I took a leap in a different field of work. I use to move all over the country but I am home and hoping to start pet sitting as my main job. I have a guinea pig by the named Tikka Teacake and she is a little siren but she is my 3rd guinea pig. I am a non-smoker and prefer days curled up with fluffy creatures and a good book. In regards to my experience I have worked at pets resorts such as Sunny Acres where I had a few loyal dogs that I dearly miss. I have owned large dog breeds my whole life and grew up with pure breed Rottweilers, German Shepherd mixes, and my current lovely mutt. I have been doing home pet sitting for over a decade. I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about. A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. I like keeping basic training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.
