“Roxy had really fun with Amy and her family. Amy was very nice with my dog, she took care of her like if she is hers. She sent me pictures every day. I strongly recommend her.”

“Caroline was wonderful. She’s calm and seems very easy going. Our dogs are quite hyper but she dealt with them very gently. We appreciate her helping us, even when our one dog had last minute surgery so she had to administer meds. Definitely would recommend!”

“Bruna was so friendly and great with my dog. She was very accommodating and I felt like she was the perfect sitter. Our booking was a little last minute and I really appreciate her for making every step of booking her easy and stress free. She updated us daily and was a great communicator. Def would rebook again. Thank you so much!”

“Krystene and her family are awesome! My dog Wilbur has stayed with them twice now and we had a great experience both times. Wilbur can have a lot of separation anxiety, so it was amazing to see how comfortable he was with Krystene even after staying with her only once. Would definitely recommend Krystene!”

“I needed a sitter fairly quickly and Anitra was both kind and flexible to accommodate my request. She provided daily updates and pics to assure me that Hershey was relaxed, comfortable, cared for and getting along with her pups which was much appreciated. Needless to say, I would definitely book with her again.”

“Romel was quick and easy to communicate with. We did a meet and greet at a dog park beforehand, and my dog seemed to be very happy and well taken care of for the week. Thank you!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a more kind host for Rocky. We got daily updates and a ton of pictures and videos which was so comforting for our kids. Rocky thoroughly enjoyed his stay and was very well taken care off. We will definitely use Camila and Lino again in the future.”

“Another great stay with Lady D. Duke was in great spirits at pickup. Excited to see me and ready to go, although he did make sure to stop and thank her for taking care of him while I was away. So sweet to see”

“I can’t recommend Krystina C. enough! She was absolutely amazing with my dog—so kind and attentive. My pup loved all the walks and playtime, especially with her dog! It was clear from the start that she truly cares about animals. As a bonus, she even gave me some great recommendations for new food. If you're looking for someone who will treat your furry friend like their own, Krystina is the one to call!”

“If you are searching for just the right person to care for your family pet, your search is over! I am so thankful that we met Erin- she is a true gift! We were traveling for an extended time and I literally just relaxed and enjoyed the trip just knowing that our dog Lou was in such good hands. Lou is a rescue with some behavior issues which is where Erin is really amazing. She took everything in stride and I can easily see that Lou got lots of attention and companionship. She is an anxious dog and although she enjoys doggy daycare/and we have had other pet sitters, Lou always comes home stressed out, exhausted, nervous and her eyes look bloodshot. Not this time! This has been a completely different experience, she is visibly calm and shows no signs of stress at all. Erin is also super organized and detail-oriented, she is flexible (I had to change some dates) and she had no reservations about giving the daily medication Lou needs. Erin's communication was excellent, she even sent us daily pictures of Lou! Erin exceeded our expectations at every turn and I hope she will become a regular member of Lou's family for future stays. Thank you Erin and Dave, your care meant the world to us!”

“Alice was fantastic over the holidays! Butters and Freckles were happy, well cared for, and we loved the frequent updates. She also fed our cats daily and left the house clean. We felt completely at ease while we were away and would definitely book her again.”

“Taylor took good care of our cats while we were out and followed instructions (for medication) as directed. She was responsive, available on short notice, and had flexible scheduling. She spent enough time at each visit to coax out our shy cat and give her attention as well. Taylor sent pictures, and was a good house guest. We would hire Taylor again!”

“Katrin is an excellent caretaker. She took care of our cats like they were her own. She spent time playing with them and even brought extra toys for them to use. We will definitely be using her again. 10/10”

“Alexis was wonderful! She is personable and shows a true caring for animals. She communicated with us at all times which left us with complete trust in her. She took perfect care of our kitties. Definitively would recommend and plan on using her again!!”

About: Cats have also been a big part of my life. I grew up around them through family and friends, and I regularly look after my friends' cats when they travel. I know every cat has their own personality, and I'm happy to follow their lead, whether they want company or just a quiet presence nearby. I also volunteer as a temporary foster with Hope Animal Rescue, which means I'm comfortable meeting animals exactly where they are, whether that's a nervous newcomer or a playful goofball who wants all the attention. I take every visit seriously, because I know a kind, familiar face can make a pet's whole day.
“Paul is the best! His notes are so lively and descriptive, and he has a talent for taking cute pet photos. It’s obvious that Paul delights in spending time with our cat, and also that she feels the same way about him :)”

“Brian is incredibly responsive, which has always been very reassuring as a pet parent. We really appreciate him taking care of Chai and giving her the love and attention she needs.”

“Blake was thorough and consistent with taking care of my cat’s needs! I really appreciated their daily updates, cute pictures of my pet, and their flexibility. I would definitely choose Blake again to watch my cat!”

“I had such a great experience with my pet sitter! They took wonderful care of my cat, Peaches, while I was away. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and attentive hands. They kept me updated with messages and photos, followed all of his care instructions, and made sure he had plenty of attention and playtime. Peaches looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I got home, which says everything.”

“Alex is a friendly, professional, and highly attentive pet sitter. I would definitely recommend him for any of your pet-sitting needs. He provided consistent updates with photos that brought peace of mind while I was out of town for a weekend. He honored even the smallest requests when it came to instructions for care, and he was very patient with one of my kitties who is notoriously skittish around strangers. After a couple of days, that same kitty was out of his shell and playing as normal around Alex. It's clear that Alex genuinely cares about the well-being of animals and he exceeded my expectations. I will be booking with Alex again in the future!”

“Will definitely be my go-to sitter! My cats love her (and my corgi has also decided she can be a new best friend), and she took the time to really lovingly care for the kitties. Awesome person, and went above and beyond! (Even vacuumed up some extra kibble my kitties left behind) 100/10, will be hiring again.”

“Ally did a great job taking care of our cats! She was communicative, reliable, on time, and took great care of everything while we were away. She also sent the cutest photo updates, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We'd definitely book with her again!”

“Kelly stayed at my house with my cat for 10 nights, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better sitter. Super proactive in communication, sent pics and updates daily, left the house in great shape (I really couldn't tell anyone had been here!) and was flexible in the end when my travel plans changed due to weather. Oh, and I could tell she genuinely enjoyed hanging out with my cat, which makes it all the better. Hope to be able to hire her for future needs!”

About: A few years ago, I lost both my very senior dogs, which I adopted as puppies from the shelter. As you can imagine, there's a dog-shaped space in my life. I'm not ready to adopt again, but that means your dog has a second home! Other than errands, I’m home all day with your dog. (If they like car rides, they’re welcome to join me for school dropoff and pickup!) My yard is fenced and shady, and there are plenty of sidewalks for adventures around the neighborhood. If your pet needs a crate, please provide it.

About: I grew up with two bigger dogs (German Shepard and chow/golden mix) and always had responsibility with taking care of them. Although I do not have any dogs of my own at the moment, I am always the first to watch my family and friends dogs such as Bernese mountain dog, doodles, Bassett Hound, and German Sheppards! In the last two years, I have been a recurring sitter for a doodle, chow, chocolate lab, and other breeds. All dogs were through friends, referrals, and people in our building so not many reviews on here but I am sure I can send their numbers if referrals are needed. I just moved to Durham but looking to help dog sit here and hope can find some new favorite dogs to sit:) I work hybrid, so I can schedule any meetings around bathroom/dog park breaks. I have experience taking dogs on multiple 2+ mile walks a day if needed. We have a couch cover, so happy for dogs to cuddle up on the couch! We have a fenced in back yard so can play together outside! Happy to have the dog sleep in the bedroom but prefer them off the bed if possible!
About: Hello, my senior dog of 14 years passed away recently, so I am looking to get my pup fix in while also helping you out! I currently work from home, so your pet will have unlimited access to myself and my apartment while we stay together! As mentioned above, I love being active with pets, so whatever your animals outdoor needs are, Im sure that I can fill them! I have easy access to Duke's East Campus loop, the Trinity Park Neighborhood, and the Eno River state park for all play and exercise needs. I am a physically active person, and would love to take your pet out as much as they desire! I do have a kennel available for dogs who prefer to be crated, and if not, I have free roam dog beds, couches and human beds available for all pets who enjoy them!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for around 10 years. I also have babysat different aged children and am very prompt and responsible. I hope to be able to help you too. I’m currently doing research at UNC and training for my collegiate sports season. I have lots of time in the middle of the day to walk! I take my own dogs on walks every day, clean them, and feed them daily. I love them very much and take good care of them.
About: For as long as I can remember, I've had dogs and cats, and they've taught me so much about love, loyalty, and responsibility. Caring for them has always been an important part of my life; I enjoy spending time with them, understanding their needs, and giving them the love they deserve. I've learned to handle everything from playful puppies to senior pets who need more patience and attention. To me, every animal is part of the family, and I always care for them with the same love I would give my own. 🐾 Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine, as I have ample free time and am fully available to dedicate attention, love, and energy to animals. I can easily adapt to different schedules and needs, allowing me to offer consistent, responsible, and dedicated care. I enjoy spending time with pets, taking them for walks, feeding them, and ensuring their happiness and safety at all times. A perfect place for your pet 🏡🐾 I live in a spacious two-story house with a basement where pets can play and rest in complete comfort. It's a quiet, safe space, free from annoying noises, ideal for them to feel right at home. Plus, there's a park nearby where I can take them for walks, runs, and to enjoy the fresh air. Here, your pet will have space, fun, and lots of love every day. ❤️
About: **PLEASE RESPOND IN TIMELY MANNER AFTER RECEIVE REPLY TO REQUEST. GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. 🙏🏾** I've taken care of family and friends' dogs since 2010, starting in Charlotte, NC. Longest I've kept one dog is for 2 weeks. I love taking care of dogs as if they were my own. Currently live in Durham, NC in my childhood home. I work from home, so I'm the perfect sitter that can entertain your dog while you're at work, away on vacay/trip, or just need some me time. I am a patient person and do have experience training a couple of dogs from not fearing their crate, knowing boundaries within house, and cease whining. I work from home Monday-Friday from 8-4:30 pm. I occasionally have appts and other events on the weekends, including attending church worship service. I'm at home the majority of the time. I have a pretty open concept in my house, but I close off doors to bedrooms and bathroom. I sometimes close off my hallway to keep in a secluded place in case of visitors or go to sleep at night. I take dogs out on leash, I currently do not have a fenced yard. I spend quality time with them and engage often and show plenty of love.

“Heather has been a great walker for my pup! She always takes good care of her and sends pics and updates. I especially appreciate how often she’s been able to come through on last minute requests.”

“Bell is reliable, attentive, friendly, and my dog loved her! He is a fearful and sometimes stubborn baby, she was able to get him out for walks on the first visit when it has often taken people multiple times to get to that point. She was very quick and thorough in her responses and put me at ease that my pup would be okay while I was out of town. We will definitely consider her again in the future!”

“Sarah was dependable and punctual. I know Cleo loved seeing her during the day for a walk. I’d highly recommend her services and will be rebooking with her again. If you need someone to trust with your furry companions, go with Sarah.”

“Skeptical at first looking for someone new to watch our baby, we made the best decision getting Paris to watch our Gunnar last minute. Communication was amazing she let us know anything that may have changed Gunnar love her and she treated Gunnar as if he was her own. Definitely recommend 10/10”

About: I’ve lived with or taken care of dogs since I was young. More than 20 years! We adopted our family dog,Thompson, who was a chow mix, from Animal Control when he was 2-3 years old. He was with us for over 10 years. In the past 6 months, I’ve done house and pet sitting for 2 pit bulls at one home, a a feisty cockapoo at another, as well as stayed with an elderly yellow lab and her feline roommate. I’ve helped with the 2 latter owners several times. I’m semi-retired, and when I have a contract I work from home. Other than spending time and taking care of my cat, Owl, I can be available as my schedule allows. My cat, Owl, is an indoor only cat. I prefer to help out at the owner’s home. Owl is very shy and gets anxious around animals he doesn’t know.
About: Most of my experience is with dogs of friends or co-workers. I generally keep their dogs at their place where they are most comfortable and take them out frequently for walks/runs or whatever they'd like to do. So long as the dog is house trained and not on the "forbidden breed list" at the apartments I stay, they are welcome to my home too. I've sat a Pointer/Dalmation mix, Maltese mix, Shepherd mix, Chow Chow, Boxer, Cane Corso, and 2 Weimaraners in the past. My fulltime job is a nurse, and I only work 36 hours a week. I don't really consider pet sitting or walking a job because I love dogs so much. Just looking to make some extra income and maybe start my own business someday. I have a laid back personality and dogs tend to take to me immediately or at least stay true to their breeds. Chow Chow was my brother-in-law's dog who barked at me a good 3-4 times before she knew I wasn't a total stranger. Bothered me none.

“Michael has been fantastic! He was so kind as I messed up my bookings (a few times) when I started needing a dog walker more frequently due to job changes! He is our regular:) Puppies are safe and happy!”

About: Caring for animals has been a regular part of my life for years. During college, I walked dogs several times a week, and I’ve spent years pet sitting for family friends with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I’ve also cared for my sister’s dog for several weeks at a time while she traveled internationally, so I’m comfortable with both daily walks and longer-term stays. While in graduate school at Duke, I also cat sat for several friends, giving me experience caring for cats with different personalities and routines. I’m confident with both large and small dogs and understand that every pet has unique needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, your cat prefers quiet companionship, or your pet simply needs someone dependable to stick to their routine, I take the time to earn their trust and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Outside of pet care, I’m completing hospital chaplaincy training while preparing for ordained ministry. That work has strengthened qualities that carry over naturally into caring for animals, such as patience, attentiveness, reliability, and remaining calm in new situations. I know how important it is to trust someone with a beloved pet, and I’ll care for yours with the same thoughtfulness and respect that I’d want for my own. I’m currently completing hospital chaplaincy training and working part-time at a local church, so I value being organized and dependable with my schedule. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and intentionally make time for each week. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care, I prioritize keeping pets on their normal routine and making sure they receive plenty of attention and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to maintain the routine they’re already comfortable with. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special instructions so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible while you’re away. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality and adjust my care to their needs, whether that means an energetic walk, playtime, or simply providing calm companionship. I also believe communication is an important part of great pet care. I can send regular updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every home with respect, leaving it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it.
