“We had such a great experience with Ms. Rebecca! She took awesome care of our kitten, was always on time, and sent the cutest daily updates and pics. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands while we were away. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again the next time we travel!”

About: I’ve been petsitting for dogs and cats ever since I was younger for family friends. I’m currently studying Animal Care Management and Technology in college. I love all sorts of animals and love caring for them! I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes and personalities, including taking them on walks, feeding and giving lots of attention! I am dependable, patient and committed to making sure every pet feels comfortable and loved while their parents are away. Right now I dogsit for my job! I have full availability so I can give your pets unlimited attention, personalized care and lots of affection. I’m happy to take your dog on walks, feeding them at their regular times and playing with them lots too of course! I try to keep your pets routine as consistent as possible to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress while you’re away.
“Heidi is phenomenal! Her service was exceptional. I will definitely be using her services again! My Sadie girl took very well to her. She kept me updated daily with check ins and pictures which I really appreciate. We are all always nervous when leaving a loved one with a stranger but I must say Heidi made me feel at ease. THANK YOU SO MUCH HEIDI!”

“Deb has been a lifesaver with my new puppy. She came twice a day so he’d be able to get his 3 meals a day and go outside while I was at work. She’s been great and is a very sweet lady.”

About: I have dog sitted for various neighbors and friends, old and younger dogs, and aggressive cats, so I have experience for every type of pet that I come across. I also have pets of my own, 2 dogs and 3 cats, so I know how to care for 5 different pets at the same time, and address each of their needs. I am college freshman on summer break with a bunch of time on my hands, so I have plenty of time to hang out and care for your pets! I can take them outside and walk them around the neighborhood, or hang out with them out in some fenced-in area. I can also refill their food and water, and if a crate is necessary, do that too.
“Brittany took exceptionally good care of our cat while we were out of the country with very little access to our phones to check in. We felt completely confident in her abilities on our vacation.”

About: Hello! I have owned and cared for dogs for over 10 years. I specialize in small dog breeds of all ages. I have two small dogs of my own, and one has that classic small dog sass! My goal is for your pet to forgot that mom/dad is not around, and have fun/release their energy while maintaining their normal schedule. I have cared for multiple dogs ranging in weight from 5-40lbs for personal clients. I always treat every pet that I work with like they are my own children, because let’s face it, they are! I am currently available every day until I start a new position in August. Then my availability will shift to Monday-Friday after 5:30pm and any time on the weekend. I am very responsive, dependable, timely, and treat each dog like they are my own. I am respectful and will follow any specific instructions in your home!
About: I love playing with and caring for animals. I know it’s hard to be there for your pet at all times, so I would love to help you with your needs. I love to play, walk, bathe, swim, and do pretty much whatever it is your animal needs. I am comfortable with all ages, sizes and breeds. If needed, I can administer medicines. I am available days , weeknights and weekends at all times. I have had my own dogs and other pets since I was 7 years old, so I am hoping that I can care for your pets the way that I have always cared for my own. Pet care is part of my everyday routine. I’m used to morning and evening walks, feeding on a schedule, meds when needed, and plenty of playtime and snuggles built into my day. I plan my errands and social stuff around animals being let out, fed, and comfortable, so adding your pets into that rhythm feels really natural for me. When I’m in a pet’s home, I stick to their normal routine as closely as possible – same feeding schedule, walk times, and sleeping spots. I do regular check-ins for food, water, potty breaks, and meds if needed, and I always build in playtime and cuddles so they’re not just ‘being watched,’ they’re actually getting attention. I keep the home tidy, follow any house rules you leave, and send photo updates so you can see how they’re doing while you’re away.
“Shelby checked on my 2 cats for 5 days. She was very friendly and communicative about how they were doing and told me all the tasks she did each day. She took some great pictures of them which I really appreciate!”

“Daysi is very professional and punctual! She leaves very thorough updates and communicates well. Our 3 dogs love her and we couldn’t be more thankful for her service!”

“Great first drop-in visit with Meredith ahead of our upcoming house sit. She was attentive, asked thoughtful questions about Wallaby’s routine, and clearly cares about animals. Since Wallaby takes a little time to warm up to new people, this visit gave them a great opportunity to get to know each other. It was a really positive first step, and we’re looking forward to the upcoming stay!”

About: I’ve had a family dog since I was a freshman in college and have since took on the responsibility of adopting my first fur baby. Spencer was 2 months old when I got him and I’ve been obsessed every since. He’s a beautiful Shepard mix with the bluest eyes you’ll ever see. I never knew I could love something as deeply as I do him. I’ve been training Spencer since the day I got him. I will work with your pups if that’s what you’d like or just be there to keep them company! I’m pretty active and love going on walks so your baby can get plenty of exercise. You can trust leaving your baby with me and know that he will be in great hands. My dog has been on allergy medication for some time so I am comfortable with proving your pup with oral medication. I also volunteer with a rescue and have experience and puppies all the way up to senior dogs! I work full time but my hours are flexible. There are days I can work from home. I am close enough to my office that I can run home if need be. I am available everyday before 10:30am and most days after 5:00pm. My weekends are completely open! I live in a complex with a fenced in dog park 50 yards away from my door! I am a very athletic person and love to get my exercise so will live to walk/run with your dog if that’s what you want.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
