“Kathryn did a wonderful job of taking care of Missy. She hung out with her and took care of her and made sure that she was happy. I would definitely recommend booking her and will work with her again in the future.”

“Wen has been super helpful in a short notice! She’s attentive to needs and changes in Mila’s behaviors, and keeps me updated with details from her drop ins. Will definitely use again!”

“We were only gone for just a little over 24 hours but this was our first time using Rover and we were anxious about leaving our babies to a stranger! Immediately upon meeting Deb she assuaged those worries and felt like a family member that loves them as much as we do. She sent pictures for each drop-in visit with little updates about how they were doing and when we got back we could tell their little bowls had been cleaned and they had been well taken care of. Thank you Deb <3”

“This was my first time using Rover, so I was a little apprehensive, but Jennifer was amazing! She was always very punctual with the drop ins, she consistently sent me pictures and updates, and she took extra time to answer all my questions as a new user. Jennifer was really good with my dog, and I could tell when I came home that he had gotten a lot of love and attention!”

“First time having Brittney come over she was awesome! Cared so much for our dog. Came home and our dog was just sitting there like if she was still waiting for Brittney to show up instead of us haha thank you for everything will definitely be contacting you again !”

“Our Kitty loves when Racheal comes over to take care of her. She takes her time and makes sure she is fed, has lots of water and her liter box is clean. Miss Kitty loves all the attention she receives!! Highly recommend.”

“Susan is a wonderful pet sitter! She is conscientious, detailed, and communicative. Susan goes above and beyond to provide quality care. I have worked with Susan multiple times to care for my shy cat requiring medication and my adventurous kitten. She meets both of their individual needs and keeps me updated. I highly recommend Susan!”

I am currently in school in the morning till around 2 pm I would be able to walk your pet in the morning g before school and right after school. About: I love playing with and caring for animals. I know it’s hard to be there for your pet at all times, so I would love to help you with your needs. I love to play, walk, bathe, swim, and do pretty much whatever it is your animal needs. I am comfortable with all ages, sizes and breeds. If needed, I can administer medicines. I am available days , weeknights and weekends at all times. I have had my own dogs and other pets since I was 7 years old, so I am hoping that I can care for your pets the way that I have always cared for my own. Pet care is part of my everyday routine. I’m used to morning and evening walks, feeding on a schedule, meds when needed, and plenty of playtime and snuggles built into my day. I plan my errands and social stuff around animals being let out, fed, and comfortable, so adding your pets into that rhythm feels really natural for me. When I’m in a pet’s home, I stick to their normal routine as closely as possible – same feeding schedule, walk times, and sleeping spots. I do regular check-ins for food, water, potty breaks, and meds if needed, and I always build in playtime and cuddles so they’re not just ‘being watched,’ they’re actually getting attention. I keep the home tidy, follow any house rules you leave, and send photo updates so you can see how they’re doing while you’re away.
“Another amazing week with Gemma! She truly is the best, I need to stop bragging about her so much before others take her up on her services 🙈 Dewy loves hanging out with Gemma! I love how she sends so many pics and updates during her time 🤩”
About: Hello! To start off, my name is Amy. I was born and raised here in NC and know the area quite well! I’ve taken animal care courses at ACC and have experience with many types of animals. Dogs, Cats, Horses, Reptiles etc.. I started my pet sitting journey in 2018 . I have had many great experience with animals of all kinds and looking forward to the future pets I get to meet! ***Please Read before Messaging!*** I have a full time work schedule working from 3pm - 11pm Tuesday-Friday and 11am - 7pm every other weekend. Before leaving your home, I will make sure you pet is fed, uses the bathroom, and have a comfortable spot to lay on. Since I can only do in home sitting or check ups I make sure that your fur baby has everything he or she could possibly need. Food, Water, pee pads (if that is an option) outside time, hourly potty breaks, and plenty of cuddle time. I can also crate the animal if need be and help with keeping up with any training while you are gone.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mebane. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
