I currently work part-time, which means I have plenty of flexibility to give your fur babies the love, attention, exercise, & playtime they deserve! 🐾 ❤️ Your pets aren't just "pets" - they're family, & I'll treat them like my own! 😻 🐶 When caring for your pets in their home, my priority is keeping them safe, comfortable, & on their normal routine. I'll follow your specific instructions for feeding, medications, walks, playtime, & any other care your pets need. I'll treat your home with the same respect I would my own - keeping things clean, securing doors & gates, and making sure your pets are never left in an unsafe situation. I'll also provide regular updates & photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Most importantly, I want your pets to feel comfortable & loved in their own familiar environment.

“Ashley has a true love for animals and their wellbeing. She was a fantastic fit for us. She took exceptional care of our fur babies while we were out of town for 4 days. We very rarely travel anywhere, due to our pets. Our senior dog does not tolerate being boarded and has separation anxiety (did I mention he is also 130lbs). Our senior dog was absolutely smitten with Ashely, she was not intimidated by his large size and played fetch with him every day. She would stay extended times to assure everyone's needs were met and everyone was given enough attention and snuggles. Our cats, who usually shy away from new people, greeted her every visit. We loved all the pictures and frequent updates throughout the day. The cherry on top was the sweet holiday bandana and treats she left for our dog. We would give her 10 stars if we could. About: I love playing with and caring for animals. I know it’s hard to be there for your pet at all times, so I would love to help you with your needs. I love to play, walk, bathe, swim, and do pretty much whatever it is your animal needs. I am comfortable with all ages, sizes and breeds. If needed, I can administer medicines. I am available days , weeknights and weekends at all times. I have had my own dogs and other pets since I was 7 years old, so I am hoping that I can care for your pets the way that I have always cared for my own. Pet care is part of my everyday routine. I’m used to morning and evening walks, feeding on a schedule, meds when needed, and plenty of playtime and snuggles built into my day. I plan my errands and social stuff around animals being let out, fed, and comfortable, so adding your pets into that rhythm feels really natural for me. When I’m in a pet’s home, I stick to their normal routine as closely as possible – same feeding schedule, walk times, and sleeping spots. I do regular check-ins for food, water, potty breaks, and meds if needed, and I always build in playtime and cuddles so they’re not just ‘being watched,’ they’re actually getting attention. We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!
