We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!

About: I have dogs all my life. Ranging from newborns to elderly. I have had different animals my whole life. From dogs, cats, bunnies, lizards and turtles. I care for friends and families animals on a regular basis. I am a stay at home mom so I am available to spend time with your babies. I am available daily for walking and drop in visits. In your home I will treat your pets like my own babies. I can give love and affection as you would. I will feed, water, give medicine and walk them.

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the heart I bring into caring for every pet as if they were my own. I truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality—whether it’s a playful puppy learning the ropes or a wise senior who just wants a little extra love and comfort. I have hands-on experience with both, including basic puppy training and senior care like administering medication and helping them move around gently and safely. I'm calm, patient, and genuinely invested in making pets feel safe, happy, and understood while their people are away. Building that trust with both the pet and their owner is something I value deeply. I currently work from home, so I'm flexible in home or drop by care. I am able to walk, play and tend to needs as needed. I will ask pet parents the routine the pet is used to in their home. I will try to maintain the schedule to the best of ability while I am in their home. Cuddles, loves and reassurance will always be in that routine. In my home, they will join into the family of constant fun. Joining 2 neutered male Aussies who love to have company ane planty of excercise. We have chickens and acres to run. We often walk around visit our neighbors goats and horses, collect eggs. We will be sure to have an inside bed/crate for them to sleep in at night. They will be fed separately and will have fresh water available all day. Nap times through out the day is permitted as they lay anywhere they want while I work. They are permitted to hang out, looking out the windows; watching birds, deer, cars passing by and sometimes up close and unleash fury barking at the Amazon delivery person. We often indulge in treats if permitted and there is tons of snuggle breaks.

About: Hey y'all, I grew up with dogs and had a dog of my own until recently when she passed. I've also spent time on lots of friends farms for fun, doing chores, and farm-sitting for them. I have experience with goats, pigs, cows, ducks, chickens, turkeys, dogs, and cats! This means I know how to interact with lots of different personalities including wary and hyperactive animals. I'm also not afraid of handling messy situations. :) I moved to the Triangle for a paralegal job at a non-profit that works on cleaning up coal ash across the southeast. Years ago I left that job to run a small business and farm. I love my work and living in Hillsborough, and am grateful for a fully flexible schedule! I pet, house, and farm sit a couple of times a year and would be happy to do so for you! Honestly, this is a bit of a selfish endeavor as I would like to be able to spend more time with some floof friends. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Thanks! Jenna I work full time as a self-employed farmer, but my schedule is extremely flexible. I live in town and lease land less than ten minutes away. It is my habit to work early in the morning and later in the day, coming home for the middle portion of the day to avoid the heat. I'm easily able to tailor my schedule to your pet's needs! My apartment is a very lucky setup. I effectively have a private entrance to my place, two fenced areas for dogs, as well as being a two minute walk from a park and public dog park with two additional fences areas. Also, I live alone but have two bedrooms, so the apartment itself is spacious.

About: Since childhood, I've been surrounded by dogs, dog training and field trial competition. I've cared for dogs, cats, pigeons, fish, hamsters, gerbils, and horses and I enjoy each creature's personality and gifts. I've worked in the hospitality industry my whole life and now, I'm looking forward to spending my time with my family, my animals, my crafts and travel. Part time pet care allows me to do all of that! Taking care of other folks' animals is a pleasure for me. Our beloved pets simply want activity, love, and care...and FOOD! I'm very comfortable with senior pets or young animals, and can adapt to each animal's need for interaction. I'm experienced following detailed instructions, administering medications, and adhering to schedules and routines. I also like hanging with your animal -- sometimes a pet wants to know there's someone there for them. I love taking photos of animals and sharing them with their pet parents! I am semi-retired and focus my time on my family - husband and twin teenage boys, our 2 dogs, 1 cat, many chickens, and houseplants. I have time throughout my day to take care of indoor and outdoor animals. I'm flexible and can care for your animals solely at your home or, for dogs, I can bring them out to walk on our local trails. I have a large minivan with kennels inside so your dog will travel comfortably and safely. I keep my cell phone off when I drive and I travel directly from your home to a walking trail/area. I never mix errands with dog walking and prefer to walk dogs without earbuds/headphones so I am aware of our surroundings at all times.

About: Pet care plays a significant role in my life as I am working as a veterinary assistant and am actively pursuing an Associate degree in Animal Care and Management. My job allows me to directly impact the well-being of animals, while my studies deepen my knowledge and skills in providing top-notch care. my passion for animal welfare shines through as I balance work and education, creating a fulfilling and purposeful routine. Since my pets are mostly farm animals they Free range their pastures. Although I do have a dog and his name is max. Max has a huge yard to run around in so im never too worried about him having to go on a walk he just runs around in our fenced in yard. max gets his daily exercise in as he is a small breed dog.

I am currently in school in the morning till around 2 pm I would be able to walk your pet in the morning g before school and right after school.
