“Alice was fantastic over the holidays! Butters and Freckles were happy, well cared for, and we loved the frequent updates. She also fed our cats daily and left the house clean. We felt completely at ease while we were away and would definitely book her again.”

“Vanessa is the absolute BEST! We had to short notice board our dogs after a very hectic month of moving around. Both of our dogs are tired and confused from all of the moving and Vanessa did such an incredible job making them feel loved and like they were at home. Great communication, daily photos and so much love for our sweet pups. We will definitely be using Vanessa and her wonderful family again.”

“Cathy is the absolute best Rover we have ever used! She sent us frequent updates with pictures, went above and beyond to provide the best care, was extremely flexible with drop-off/pick-up & treated Olivia like she was her own! Couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Evie and Fritz are truly the best dog sitters I have ever used! Our dog Harper is usually very uncomfortable around new people and does not tend to do well when we go on trips. I could tell very early on that she looked happy and relaxed with them after being there for only about a day. They made a clear effort to get to know Harper and make her as comfortable as possible and sent me so many photos and video to keep me updated on how she was doing. Highly highly highly recommend Evie and Fritz, we will definitely be a repeat customer!!!”

“We are so incredible happy to have found Emily & Will to dog-sit our Ella!!!! We asked them to take care of our little Chihuahua twice in the last 5 month because we had to go to the Netherlands. Both times Ella stayed over for several weeks, even more then a month the last time and we couldn't have be more relaxed because of the loving care they give all the dogs they take care of. Ella really became one of the pack in their loving home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. No doubt at all that we will ask you again the next times we need a dog sitter for Ella!”

“Tori and her family took such great care of our small older dog who has some health issues including med administration needs and occasional pain due to previous cancer. Everything from getting holly to their home (Tori last minute offered to pick Holly Up and this was a godsend because our trip was last minute and we were trying to coordinate many other things) to start her visit to pick up and updates in between were great. Her sons are very gentle and natural animal lovers so that was not any concern even though our dog generally prefers calm environments. I would highly recommend Tori and her family for caring for your pet!”

“Krystene and her family are awesome! My dog Wilbur has stayed with them twice now and we had a great experience both times. Wilbur can have a lot of separation anxiety, so it was amazing to see how comfortable he was with Krystene even after staying with her only once. Would definitely recommend Krystene!”

“My dog is older so he's not as adaptable as young dogs. But he was accommodated with separate sleeping quarters and supervised play time. Will definitely book with Gregg again.”

“I had to board my Zita very last second (not even minute) for a full day sitting (9.00-19.00) and Agus was extremely nice and flexible to accommodate my needs. He took really good care of Zita and she loved playing with Harry Potter (he is such a sweet boy!). I would definitely recommend him and board Zita again!”
“Heather kept our dog, Iggy, for two weeks while we were away on vacation. We received several updates with videos throughout the stay. Iggy cane home very happy and I’m sure she got plenty of love attention in a relaxing home environment. One thing we appreciated about Heather’s service is that she only kept our dog. While Iggy is very social, I felt more confident knowing there weren't many dogs in and out throughout her stay. Thank you, Heather!”

“Yara and Angel were great watching my babies! They sent daily updates and pictures and my boys thoroughly enjoyed playing with their daughter!! Will definitely contact them for future dog sitting!”

“In all my years of moving around and needing to trust a new Rover city in each town, Ashley and her family were hands down THE BEST, most compassionate and caring I have come across. We are returning upon every chance we can!!!”
“Crystal was great with my senior pup! We enjoyed her sending pictures and updates of our furry daughter. Crystal is caring and patience with my pup and able to take her for walk several times a day.”

“My dog was a rescue and is very shy and skittish. Julie and R.G. made her feel at ease. I’ve never had to leave her with anyone but I felt very good about leaving her with them and would definitely use them again!”

“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Ashley & PJ. From the very beginning, they were thoughtful, communicative, and genuinely caring toward Cooper. During uncertain winter road conditions, they were proactive, reassuring, and put safety first without hesitation. Cooper was clearly loved and comfortable, so much so that he came home already hinting at another visit! 😊 It means everything to know your dog is not just looked after, but truly cared for. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone kind, dependable, and wonderful with dogs.”

About: All four of us are animal people. We’ve had our own dog for six years, and cats our whole lives. I also have experience working in a veterinarian’s office, and my husband and I both have lots of dog-sitting-for-friends experience. Currently, we are two teachers looking to supplement our income and help out others. We are caring, responsible people who won’t leave you hanging. We’ve boarded our own dog through Rover in the past and know you might want frequent check-ins or photos. We’re here for you! During the summer, we’re home! Your pet will have lots of yard time and walks if you prefer. We have two older kids (11 and 14) who will NEVER be responsible for your pet, but will supplement their care, socialization, and playtime. We also have a corgi who loves to play, but we can keep her separate from your pup if desired. There are four people here who love animals! We will care for your pet like they were our own. Pets are allowed on the furniture and beds in our home, but we will follow your rules if that’s a no-no for you. We want to make sure your pup feels at home and comfortable, and that you feel comfortable with your pet in our care!
“This is the third time Marilyn has taken Gronk. She always does such a good job with our boy. He has a good time every time. He gets plenty of attention and has lots of play time with other dogs. Marilyn is a very trusting dog sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Ziggy was excited to go back for an overnight with Anthony and he seems to have made a great play buddy with Indie. We're happy to know Ziggy feels at home while we are away!”

“Sarah was amazing!!! Our dogs were so well cared for and came back so happy!! They had the best time with Sarah. Sarah gave frequent updates and pictures which we loved. We will definitely re-book!”

“Yingquan was willing to come AGAIN during our trip, even though we only asked her to come once when we previously talked, because our flight was delayed and we ended up traveling for another day. We were so relieved to have this super reliable and experienced person take care of our kitties when we couldn’t!! We arrived home to perfect cats and we were so grateful. Yingquan is communicative and easy to work with! If she’s willing, we will definitely request her services again in the future.”

“Evie and Fritz were fantastic again! They were communicative with me about my dog and provided photos and videos of playtime. They don't mind my dog's big personality and are very kind and warm- my dog was excited for his daycare!”

“We hit the jackpot. :) Reached out to Cynthia very last minute as we were passing through Chapel Hill to catch a volleyball game. She was open to watch our Golden and it couldn’t have worked out better. She made us feel so comfortable with the drop off and her knowledge of dogs from a first impression gave us peace of mind to enjoy our evening. Can’t recommend her enough! Great communication, drop off and pick up. And our pup is passed out for the night! :)”

About: With a lifelong passion for dogs, I currently have four of my own and bring years of hands-on experience caring for special and medical needs pups. As a former dedicated foster, I’m confident handling a variety of personalities and care routines, while happily welcoming all dogs. Dogs enjoy plenty of activity (or not!) with access to a large, fenced yard and walks in a beautiful, walkable neighborhood. My dogs are relaxed, friendly, and adjust well to new companions. I’m best suited for dogs who are housebroken and have good home manners. No matter if you’re looking for daycare, overnight boarding, social time, or longer-term care, this is a warm and reliable spot for your pup. ***I do require a meet and greet at my house prior to a stay. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, allowing me to be home throughout the day. I’m always home in the evenings and maintain a structured routine for feeding and medication needs. Daily walks are part of our routine with one of my dogs and are available for visiting pups as well, weather permitting. We almost always have soothing music on to keep a very chill vibe! A safe, comfortable stay with plenty of space to relax and explore. My home features a large, fully fenced backyard and a screened-in porch perfect for lounging and watching neighborhood activity (and local wildlife!). I prioritize safety by crating or gating dogs when I’m away briefly, and I’m rarely gone for more than a couple of hours. While I’m home, pets enjoy free roam and can settle in wherever they’re most comfortable—including bedtime. My own dogs are very relaxed but social and engaged. We’re a great fit for dogs who enjoy low to moderate activity and interaction but are also able to settle down and relax or play on their own. For everyone’s comfort and safety, visiting pups should be friendly, well-behaved, and non-aggressive.
“Adrian is the best! He is super communicative and sends lots of pictures of your fur baby throughout the day so you can see what they’re up to! My dog has separation anxiety and requires extra care, and Adrian was super attentive, making sure that she was comfortable and happy all day long. We will definitely be back!”

“Heather was an amazing host for my puppy, Odin! She sent me pictures throughout the day and got him out for a nice, long walk. My initially hesitant boy even took a minute to notice me when I picked him up, because he had obviously become so comfortable under Heather’s care. Can’t recommend enough!”

About: My neighbors trust me to take care of their furry friends when needed. I’ve since moved away for college and hope to meet more pet parents through Rover! I’m currently studying for the MCAT part-time, so my schedule is flexible and I am free to take care of your pet any day of the week! I can easily stay overnight and or simply go for a walk. I live in a pet-friendly townhome with my sister who also loves animals. We have a spacious living room that can accommodate a crate and an unfenced yard.

About: We have had dogs in our family for years. I have all the basic experience of taking care of a crate trained dog. We also had a high energy Australian shepherd that had to go boot camp a few times…that being said I understand their training is very important to keep up so I am open and receptive to all their training and dietary needs. I am available through August most days. I am a school teacher so once the school year starts up I will be available for afternoon drop ins or boarding etc. With all the instructions you provide me for them and exceptional love and care. Furry friends deserve to feel comfortable too. I will take any crates, beds, toys etc. that they need and try to keep them on their routine as close as possible.

About: Hi! I'm a full time stay at home mom of two kids and a pet parent of two furry family members, Togo (our beloved dog) and Ninja our cat. Animals are a huge part of our everyday life and I know how important it is to find someone reliable and caring to look after your pet because I want the same level of care for my own. I've always loved animals and caring for them has naturally become part of my everyday life. Along with several years of dog walking and pet sitting experience, I volunteer with local dog shelters where I've successfully completed different training programs in dog behavior, safe handling and basic obedience. I'm comfortable working with dogs of all sizes including rescue dogs who may need extra patience and love. Since I'm home full time your pet gets lots of attention throughout the day, frequently potty breaks, playtime, walks, cuddles and lots of love. I stick closely to routines, follow your instructions and pay attention to body language so your pet feels safe and comfortable. I love sending photos updates and messages so you can see how things are going while you're away. My goal is simple: give your pet loving, reliable care and treat them like part of our family. I'm currently a stay home mom of two kids (10 and 13) and our two furry best friends Togo and Ninja. I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets and give them the attention they need. I have a big fenced yard and a gentle, funny and loving dog, Togo and our cat Ninja who likes to sleep all day long!
About: I am an experienced, attentive, and responsible pet care-giver providing peace-of-mind and a calm environment where your fur-baby can relax while you are away for work or travel. I grew up loving and caring for every kind of pet you can imagine and I have 18 years experience caring for cats. I also have 10 years experience caring for a cockatiel and I love parrots. I work from home and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I can host pets in my home and can also visit your home for pet care during weekend days and in the evening. I live in a townhome neighborhood with lots of room to walk and a green space in the back. I work at a computer and take regular breaks to move around and check on my cat and other pets that I am hosting. I usually sit on the floor while I work so dog friends and other cuddly pets can sit near me if they want and get pets and attention any time. My space is clean and calm with room for pets to move around freely or rest on a comfy couch or pet bed.
“My dog had a great daycare experience with Julie! She took excellent care of my dog and kept me updated with photos. He came home happy and relaxed—clearly well loved and exercised. I’d definitely trust her again and highly recommend!”

“Thanks to Jessica for taking care of our two dogs (5-year-old Max and 5-month-old Charlie) while we went to dinner and a show. She was super communicative and sent lots of photos to let us know the dogs were having a good time. She even took our puppy to the dog park to let him burn off some energy. It’s clear both pups had fun!”

“Yesel was wonderful! Our dog had a great time with her and her sweet dog Ripley. She was also super flexible and understanding with coordinating pick-up and drop-off plans when we ran into some scheduling issues with our house sitter. It was clear that she was experienced and comfortable with dogs and caring for them. We will definitely contact her again!”

“I had to leave my dog for a long day this weekend and I’m so grateful this worked out. They were great at knowing how to be mindful of introducing my dog to the new space and to their pups, they were great with communication and my dog was well taken care of and happy, so I’m happy! Thanks! ???”

“Jill is always absolutely amazing to work with! Luna loves Jill and she feels right at home every time she goes over for pet sitting! Thank God for Jill and her gifts to connect and treat my furbaby like family!! I love the pics, videos and updates throughout the day!! Just PERFECTION!!!”

“Alissa has been wonderful at every step of this process. Despite running into issues getting into my apartment, she was determined and went out of her way to successfully access Winnie to take her on a walk! She communicated well and was very responsive. I’d recommend her to any person needing a dog walker!”

“Tab is so wonderful with my pittie mix, Abbie. She can be reactive on walks, but Tab does a great job of keeping her and others safe while they are out for walks in the woods! Abbie is always tired out and happy after a walk with Tab.”

“Alessandra is a GEM! She is kind and gentle and knows how to make our anxious little dog feel safe. She is very conscientious and made sure she understood the details of Lou's routine (including his medication), which put me completely at ease. Alessandra gives our dog the same loving care that we do, and I'm so glad to have found her!”

“I would recommend Elena, for sure. She was trustworthy, caring, thoughtful, and dependable. When she couldn’t make it? She communicated it. She brought the mail in and returned my trash bins. Without me asking. Thank you for taking care of Mocha while we were gone!!”

She’s helped her develop confidence on walks, and was open to watching some short training videos we are using to help Marx develop loose leash walking habits. This shows up in Marz’s happy demeanor and leash comfort on walks. Larissa also plays tug and is a consistent communicator. Thank you for being such a good coach and kind companion for Marz!”

“OMG I absolutely LOVED Allison so much!! She was so professional and sweet! She checked in with me about everything my fur baby needed prior to her visits with him to make sure she had all the information necessary. She also provided me with a report card after every walk including lots of pictures of my boy having the time of his life! He looked so happy when she walked him. I will 100% be using her again! We love Allison!! 🥰❤️”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals, and I take pet care seriously because I know people are trusting me with a member of their family. Through my work with Lux’s Purpose, a nonprofit that raises and trains service dogs for children with pediatric cancer and chronic illness, I’ve helped socialize, care for, and support the early training of future service dogs. That experience taught me the importance of consistency, patience, clear routines, and close attention to a dog’s body language. I’m an active UNC student, so I’m especially happy to help with dogs who need walks, exercise, and structured care. I’m responsible, careful with instructions, and comfortable following routines for feeding, medications, crate rules, leash habits, or quiet time. I’ll communicate clearly, send updates, and make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and respected while you’re away. I’m a full-time UNC student, but my schedule is very flexible and includes plenty of breaks between classes. A quick bike ride to check in on a pet, go for a walk, or provide care is a perfect way for me to spend that time. While my class schedule varies by day, I am generally not unavailable for more than about four hours at a time. I’m happy to coordinate around your pet’s routine and make sure they get consistent attention, exercise, and care throughout the day. For walks and drop-in visits, I care for pets in their own home environment and follow the owner’s instructions closely. I’ll respect your home, keep doors and gates secure, use the leash or harness setup you prefer, and make sure your pet is safe before I leave. I’m careful about routines, feeding instructions, medications, crate rules, and any special boundaries your pet needs. I also pay attention to body language and will not force interaction if a pet seems nervous or overstimulated. I’ll send clear updates so you know your pet is safe, cared for, and comfortable.

“Ziggy was excited to go back for an overnight with Anthony and he seems to have made a great play buddy with Indie. We're happy to know Ziggy feels at home while we are away!”

“Katrin was AMAZING! My husband and I are so anxious leaving our dogs and katrin put our minds at ease immediately. From the moment we arrived, the dogs were clearly comfortable and in great hands. She shared regular updates and pictures, administered our senior dog’s medication, and went the extra mile in every possible way to make sure our pups felt right at home. We’re so grateful for her animal loving heart!”

“Sharon was absolutely amazing! I was getting married nearby and she watched my pup which made the whole thing possible. Her property is perfect, she has a huge fenced in paddock that Shadow loved. She sent tons of photos and videos! I feel like Shadow was well taken care of and I'd definitely book again.”

“We’re so grateful for the RCMs! Our usual dog sitter was unavailable. Harley came back happy, energized, and clearly loved. We’re very satisfied with the care he received.”
