Information Africa C. would like to know about your pet

I’d like to know about any medications/special needs. I’d also like to get a good understanding of the pets daily routine and habits such as where they like to sleep, if they are friendly with other dogs, when they are usually fed, if they are crate trained, etc. I will ask about these things when you book!

A typical day

A typical day with your pet will consist of multiple walks in nature, time with enrichment toys, one on one playtime with me, light sit/stay/leash/potty training with treats, (with parent consent) and cuddles on the couch!

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Africa! For the past 7+years, I’ve dedicated myself to providing fulfilling, professional care for dogs of every age, size, and temperament. I have experience in grooming and training. I run my business on three core values: safety, consistency, and trust. I value communication as a foundation of safety so I will make sure to keep you at ease with daily photos and quick updates. Whether it’s medication schedules, special diets, training, anxiety, etc; I will cater to your dog’s needs like they’re my own. I offer boarding and house sitting, and I only take a limited number of clients at a time so each pet gets my full tailored attention. I’m also in the process of earning my grooming and training licenses and would love to put my hard work to use! If you’re looking for someone with professionalism and genuine love for dogs, let’s set up a meet & greet!

I believe Africa is well intentioned but needs more experience with dogs. I provided thorough written and oral instructions but had a few issues with the experience. My dog was left in a prong collar for over a day although it was noted that it was for walks and my dog was walked on a collar that she could have slipped out of, which went against the written instructions I left. My dog was also injured during the stay and I was unsatisfied with the follow up from Africa although the injury was not intentionally caused. She also returned my items in a very disorganized manner although I packed neatly for drop off. For instance, my dog’s food bowls were in two different bags, the dog food bag was open and the clip that was on it was in the bottom of a different bag. I was also left waiting for about 20 minutes for pick up despite being on time for the scheduled pick up and messaging my ETA an hour and a half before, at the time I arrived, and 15 minutes later.

Our doggy had a nice first time 4 night stay with Africa. Had a nice meet & greet to start & then communicated Details through Text. Got some photos the first few days as she settled in & short break by the apt. All was well... until our flight was delayed, then ultimately cancelled. So, had some tense hours trying to connect via text/phone so could arrange for daughter in law to pickup instead of us at the designated time. Worked out in the end with just a short delay due to communication lapses.

We were away for 10 days, and Africa took great care of our senior dog Dexter. She was very attentive to his needs and kept to his schedule, ensuring he felt comfortable and at ease the entire time. Throughout our trip, Africa kept us updated with photos and messages, which really put our minds at rest. She’s quick to respond and was also very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. We’re so grateful for her care, and we’d absolutely trust her with Dexter again in the future!
