Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with extensive professional and personal experience in pet care. I previously owned and operated my own pet daycare and boarding facility, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. In addition to running a facility, I’ve spent many years caring for my own pets, as well as rescuing and fostering animals in need. Working with rescues has given me experience with shy, anxious, and high-needs dogs — and taught me patience, structure, and how to build trust. I’m comfortable administering medications, managing feeding schedules, supervising play, and maintaining consistent routines. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities, and I treat every animal like family.

I had never boarded my dog Phoebe at someone’s home so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Melissa was awesome, she was able to accommodate a four night stay with less than 24 hours notice. She’s extremely professional, before accepting the booking she requested vaccination records and actually read them as she required further clarification from the vet so I know that she doesn’t take just any random dog for monetary reasons. Clearly she cares about the health and safety of the dogs in her care as well as her own dogs. When I dropped Phoebe off and saw the fenced in yard and heard her dogs I knew she was about to have a good time, and she did. Highly recommend Melissa and would 1000% trust Phoebe with her again.
Melissa was very responsive and Casper enjoyed playing with her dogs! He will be staying over again soon!

Melissa was wonderful with our two dogs! Right from the start, she was incredibly confident in her ability to handle both of them, which immediately put our minds at ease. We loved that she is so experienced with animals and genuinely cares about their well being. It was incredibly refreshing that she was serious about our dogs being up to date on their vaccinations; it proved to us that she isn't just looking for a quick buck, but truly prioritizes the health and safety of the pets in her care. We would definitely book again!
Melissa is friendly and easy to communicate with! I was worried about my dog getting along with hers but they all did well together and I will be rebooking another stay for my dog with Melissa soon!
Melissa is an amazing caregiver for our dog Belsa. Melissa watched Belsa for around 10 days. Melissa is very responsive and was able to accommodate a last minute add on of two days early for drop off and early pick up. I highly recommend Melissa and will be using her again !

Schedule
I am able to accommodate morning and evening potty breaks, playtime, walks and meals as I do have a full-time job where I will be gone from 7:30AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday but I have large kennels available if pets are needed to be crated and a designated dog room where they can be left out comfortably.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. My home features a fully fenced-in yard for secure outdoor play and is located in a sidewalk-friendly neighborhood for safe, structured walks. I have three friendly, well-socialized dogs of my own, and I always conduct slow, controlled introductions to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Feeding times are handled separately to prevent food guarding or stress, and crating options are available if requested or if a dog feels more secure with their own space. For additional peace of mind, I also utilize camera monitoring when needed to ensure safety at all times. My goal is to provide a calm, structured, and cozy environment where every pet feels safe and cared for.
