A true animal lover that my Bandit and Whiskey were instantly attached to. It made going on vacation a lot easier knowing she was there with them. I highly recommend her services.”

She was so flexible and gracious when there was a mix-up with our address, and she handled everything with such kindness and patience. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring.”

About: I am new to the Raleigh area! I have had a love for dogs my whole life and I really want to create a helpful business around dog walking. I have taken care of most of my families dogs since I was 14. Friends and family have relied on me to feed, walk, babysit there dogs when they go out of town. I work from home Monday through Friday so it makes it really easy for me to care for my dog and other dogs. I have plenty of time to walk and play with dogs. I work from home so I am able to coordinate my schedule to make sure they are taken care of. I have a mini sheepadoodle that is super friendly and loves to play. I have water out for him and any dogs I watch. Lots of toys too!
“AnnaMarie is an awesome sitter! Highly recommend. Took great care of our senior JRT while away on a weekend trip. Would be honored to have her help take care of Ralphie again.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with extensive professional and personal experience in pet care. I previously owned and operated my own pet daycare and boarding facility, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. In addition to running a facility, I’ve spent many years caring for my own pets, as well as rescuing and fostering animals in need. Working with rescues has given me experience with shy, anxious, and high-needs dogs — and taught me patience, structure, and how to build trust. I’m comfortable administering medications, managing feeding schedules, supervising play, and maintaining consistent routines. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities, and I treat every animal like family. I am able to accommodate morning and evening potty breaks, playtime, walks and meals as I do have a full-time job where I will be gone from 7:30AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday but I have large kennels available if pets are needed to be crated and a designated dog room where they can be left out comfortably. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. My home features a fully fenced-in yard for secure outdoor play and is located in a sidewalk-friendly neighborhood for safe, structured walks. I have three friendly, well-socialized dogs of my own, and I always conduct slow, controlled introductions to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Feeding times are handled separately to prevent food guarding or stress, and crating options are available if requested or if a dog feels more secure with their own space. For additional peace of mind, I also utilize camera monitoring when needed to ensure safety at all times. My goal is to provide a calm, structured, and cozy environment where every pet feels safe and cared for.
“Savannah took excellent care of our dog while we were gone for a few days. Always filled out the “rover card” at every visit, including multiple photos. Gave us great peace of mind while we were away.”

About: I have a shih tzu of my own who is 16 yrs old, which has allowed me to get comfortable with dogs. I have taken care of many of my friends, family, and neighbors’ pets. I’ve pet sat many dogs and cats and even a frog! I love any opportunity to bond with animals and make them loved :) I am a college student, attending Wake Forest University. I am home for the summer and holidays with lots of free time to care for furry friends! I love to play with pets throwing toys, giving lots of love rubs along with making sure to tend to their biological needs. I am very attentive to each pet and stick to all instructions given by their owners. They know them best!
“Jennifer did an amazing job caring for our puppy for a few days. She was professional, timely, and kept us updated throughout the visit. It’s clear she’s experienced and genuinely loves animals — we will absolutely be using her again!”

About: I have spent my whole life surrounded by pets. My parents took care of dogs all throughout me growing up :) as well as me and my mom were constantly bringing home more (including a pig once😅) all animals are family to me and I take great pride in providing exceptional care to other peoples furbabies when they need me :) I currently have one dog and three cats who I love so dearly. I am home 90% of the time and do most of my work from home. I am very flexible and can 99% of the time make things work to fit your pets needs!! Happy to be of service to you☺️ I am home 90% of the time and do most of my work from home. I am enrolled in college and when classes are active I have a 1 hour long class on Mondays and Wednesdays. I spend most of my time cuddled up with my pets (and yours if there here ☺️) or im running around with my dog to burn off some of his energy😆 my schedule is very flexible and pet care will always fit into my daily routine. I have a fenced yard and gates throughout my home to separate areas where the dogs should not be or could get hurt. I do regular potty breaks every hour but if this needs to be adjusted due to your pets needs I can do that! I do morning and night feedings for my dog and cats but I can manage feeding your pet on their schedule as well :)
“I recently used Kimberly from Rover to take care of my dog, and cats and overall, it was a great experience! Kimberly was very friendly and clearly loves animals, which made me feel comfortable leaving my babies in her care. She provided regular updates and photos, which was a nice touch and helped me feel at ease while I was away. My fur babies seemed happy and well taken care of when I returned, and I appreciated the attention to detail in making sure all of my instructions were followed. Overall, I would definitely recommend Kimberly to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: Hey there! 👋 I have been watching pets for over 10 years! I've always loved furry members of the family 🐶🐱 I currently work remotely so I can be around consistently throughout the day. I have no pets of my own, but my roommate has a cat, which is why I don't board or doggy day care any animals at my house. And it's my experience that animals usually feel more comfortable being cared for in their own homes that they're familiar with, so if you're planning on getting away, please let me play pet parent for a while 😁💐 I currently work remote, so even tho I may work 8+ hours a day, I'm there all the time and I'm able to have some flexibility for potty break let outs/feedings! I prefer to stay at the pet's regular home so they feel most comfortable and we don't have a fence or much have much yard at all at my house so it just works out better

“Al and Laura did a great job taking care of Pepper. They sent lots of pictures and really spent time giving some love when they made their visits. I highly recommend Al and Laura!”

McKenna was great she really helped us out when we needed someone at the last minute. Our dog was well taken care of and she was right on time. Even when plans changed on our end it was no problem and she was very understanding. Will definitely use McKenna again.

Keagan was excellent with our two pups Bandit and Lil Man. She did exactly what we asked of her. I loved the photos she took to always assure us the boys were doing well. Would highly recommend her to anyone. Wish we could give her 10 stars. The boys loved her! *We did leave a cash tip*

Kathryn was great! She was able to help out at the last minute to watch my two dogs. One of them is a senior pup who has a little trouble walking and seeing sometimes. He also gets medicine twice a day. She took excellent care of my babies and they absolutely loved her!

Elaina was awesome! We have a very large German Shepherd (King Shepherd - 135 lbs). And she wasn’t phased a bit. She was so warm and personable. The dog took to her immediately. She was professional and detailed oriented. Always on time and wa super reliable and trustworthy. Highly recommend Elaina!

Patti is absolutely fantastic! Our dog is very anxious and had a very big reaction the first night (even though we did a meet and greet). He went a little wild and Patti didn’t even blink an eye. Patti took complete control of the situation and was cool, calm and collected and was able to win him over with a lot of patience! I appreciate how proactive she was in communication, the detail to take care of our babies, and the hilarious report cards. All around a wonderful experience and can’t recommend Patti enough 🙌

Kerry is AMAZING!!! She was a last-minute hire for us, as our normal dog sitter backed out last minute... But Kerry went above and beyond our expectations! She came over early to meet Chip so he could get acclimated with her, confirmed what we were requesting of her, and daily sent us pictures and fun little summaries of what she and Chip did for the day! We have found our new dog sitter, and we recommend her services with the utmost confidence!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
