About: I have one year of experience caring for pets, and I absolutely love it! I’ve taken care of dogs, making sure they’re well-fed, walked, and comfortable. I’m reliable and make sure to keep their routines, giving them plenty of attention and love so they feel safe and happy while their owners are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I plan my schedule to ensure I have time for feeding, walking, and playing with each pet in my care, whether at my home or a client’s. I make sure to give each pet the attention and care they need, balancing my day around their routines. Staying organized and flexible allows me to keep up with my other commitments while still making pets my top priority. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they have a cozy, safe space to relax and feel at home. I keep a close eye on them, follow their usual feeding and walking schedules, and give them plenty of playtime and affection. I keep any special needs or routines in mind to make their stay comfortable and familiar. If I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I maintain their regular schedule and routines as much as possible to minimize stress. I make sure their food, water, and walk times are consistent, and I keep the home tidy and secure. I’m also happy to send updates and photos, so my clients feel connected while they’re away!
“So great with Ava, my pup. I was away out of town for several days, and I could tell that my dog was loved on really well because she did not act anxious when I arrived in the door or need for attention. I could tell she had gotten lots of rubs and cuddles. Just what you want for your pup when you’re away.”

About: I sometimes feel like a dog/cat whisper. I have a very calm nature and I think dogs/cats can really pick up on this. I have had animals of my own but could no longer afford the monetary funds it takes to care for dogs and cats. I am a retired active senior citizen and I have a lot of spare time I would love to devote to dog/cat boarding or walking. When I do care for dogs/cats in my home, I try to make sure they feel I care for them and snuggle and hold them, if I am allowed by the animal. I always wait to see if they have sniffed me and that lets me know they are or are not accepting of me.

“Kymberlee was absolutely amazing! She was so so nice and listened to everything I had said about my cat. Her positive energy immediately made me feel comfortable and I knew she would be perfect for the job! I will definitely be rebooking her in the future.”

About: I am a work from home mom who loves pet sitting. I started this journey a few years ago, and has had the privilege of hosting several dogs of all ages, personalities and sizes. My children absolutely love animals, especially dogs, so there will be lots of cuddles and love from us. I take dog sitting very seriously, so I am very careful, and I always aim to please my pet parents, so I am always sending pictures, videos, and making sure your baby is happy and well taken care of. I am big on staying fit and healthy, so I take daily walks to get my steps in. I am very accommodating, so nothing is ever too much for me. I’ve had pet parents ask me to scramble eggs for their fur babies and put it on top of their dog food, and I’ve also had pet parents tell me to only feed their fur baby with a spoon, so please don’t hesitate to ask for any special request, because I aim to please! I work from home during the week and I have lots of down-time allowing me to interact and play with your fur baby . I am off during weekends and holidays I have a big house with an unfenced yard, and a loving family that will play and love on your fur baby. We will take daily walks, play outdoors, and have lots of play time and cuddles.
“Deven is absolutely amazing! She cared for my cats as if they were their own—attentive, loving, and incredibly reliable. I felt completely at ease knowing my babies were in such good hands. She kept me updated with photos and messages, which added to the quality of care. When I came home, my cats were happy, and my home was just as I left it. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter and would recommend Deven to anyone who wants peace of mind and truly outstanding care for their pets! I’ll definitely be using her again in the future!”

“I was in a pinch and looking for someone to check on my dog while i was away and decided to stay longer. I didn’t think anyone would be able to help me on such short notice. Not only did Susannah get back to me right away, but she was friendly, enthusiastic and very communicative throughout all of her visits. I truly appreciate finding her on here and would definitely recommend her. Thank you!”
About: I work at a veterinarian hospital see all types of dogs everyday, old and young. I administer food and medicine whether it’s pills or liquid medicine like insulin. I also do grooming things like baths, nails etc. I am currently working part-time. I work during the week and have the weekends off. Even though I work during the week I can take them to work with me and have them interact with other dogs so they get some playtime and make some new friends. I care for them by treating them like their my best friend. They get all the love I can possibly give and treats. Treats are the best way to win a dog over.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Zebulon
April, always does an amazing job. This was Allie’s first stay without our loved Kentucky Bear and I was so worried it was going to be hard for all parties involved. To my surprise Allie did great I think it’s because of the special bond her and April have. She may be my antisocial one but April makes her feel so loved and cared for. April even left us a special present with Kentuckys photos in it on our stove which she totally did not need to do at all. Thank you for being the best neighbor/dog sitter around I wouldn’t know what to do without you.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
