“Mary was absolutely wonderful!! We couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience. She has such a calm, reassuring presence that immediately put us and our dogs at ease. Even our shy pup, Kosita, warmed up to her fast. Our senior dog Natty has high needs (she is partially deaf, blind, diabetic, and requires insulin twice daily) and Mary handled everything with confidence and care. She kept us updated with photos and thoughtful check-ins, especially around Kosita’s eating. She was incredibly patient and even helped us discover a new trick to get her to eat. We came home to a clean house, a scooped yard, and happy pups. Most importantly, we were actually able to relax while away, which says everything. Trusting someone with our babies felt impossible at first, but we’re so grateful we found Mary. We’ve already asked her to pencil us in for our next trip and would highly recommend her… especially for pets that need extra care. Thank you !!”

About: I have had animals since I was born and love all kinds of pets. My family has 2 dogs and a cat and i love them dearly. I have been kitty/ house sitting for a family for over 2 years now and enjoy all my time with them. They are extremely skiddish cats and gaining their trust more and more every time is rewarding. I am a server and mostly work night shifts. During the week I am free most of the time until around 4pm. I usually get off anytime around 9-11pm. I have learned to cut dog hair and have been grooming my dogs for a couple years now! I can keep to feeding/walking schedules and ensure the best care for your pets!

About: I’ve dog/cat sat since I was 12. Grew up on a farm. I can do all needs for animals. Walks, feed, play. Anything is my speciality. Having 6 animals of my own, I ensure feeds happen before and right after work. 2 walks a day. I would treat yours as my own! I treat all animals as if their my own. Their well being and safety is my number one priority. Nothing is more important than a safe and happy pet.

About: I have had cats since 2000. My first two cats, Monster and Marcea, lived to be 23 and 18 years old respectively. I have experience taking care of senior cats, cats who need medicine, and special needs cats. My cat, Millie, lost one of her eyes due to an iris melanoma. I am a recently retired teacher (27 years of experience) and have an open and flexible schedule. I am available during weekdays, weekends, and with enough notice, holidays. I live in an apartment with my two cats, Millie and Maverick. They are both rescue kitties who are strictly indoor kitties. They get regular vet visits, and in recent years, extra vet visits for my special needs cat, Millie.

Personalized Care, Special Needs Pet Care, and Experienced & Trustworthy I am retired and currently an Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister which provides me with a flexible schedule. I am available weekdays, most weekends and holidays for you. My services at this time will take place in your home. I will require an initial greeting to make sure your animal is comfortable and has a chance to get to know me in their own environment. I have worked with animals that have had anxiety and was able to work with them to gain their trust.

About: I have been working with dogs for over 9 years now. I also have 3 small dogs that make this life worth while! When I’m not dog sitting, I love to hop in the RV with my dogs and take amazing road trips! I have trained puppies as well. I’m currently working from home and can watch your pets at any time! I love to take frequent breaks to run outside with my dogs and would love to do the same for your pets!i I have a fenced backyard. I also follow directions. If a client tells me what is needed, then I will make sure to go above and beyond to meet those requested needs!

About: I’ve assisted my aunt during her Rover experience for two years, I’ve rescued and TNR’d neighborhood street cats for two years, and I have an 8 year old dog and a 2 year old dog back in New York! I recently moved to the area and am living with family, so my animals are not with me until I secure independent housing—they are with family that were still in my old area. I’m a full-time college student in graduate school and I work full-time, both of these commitments are virtual. This leaves me relatively free to prioritize the care your loved pets need! I currently am not offering to pet sit in my own home as I currently live with family, but when watching other peoples dogs I take the same precautions as I would with my own dogs as you can never guarantee their behavior and how they respond to situations or other people. I would ensure the environment is safe, and if we go out into the community, I would be aware of my surroundings and take every precaution as if they were my own!

“We have use Larry many times. He is the best. He tended to things I asked him to do. Left the house clean and had my dogs (that aren't real social) cuddling up to him in no time. I was put at ease with all the pics he sent me during my week away. We were gone for a week and he did great!!!! We have already hired him for another visit and will be leaving tomorrow. It's nice to travel and not worry about your fur babies.”
