“Amelia is great! She’s been prompt and great, we had some issues with the building elevator etc and was ready to accommodate and make sure my pup was taken care of. I couldn’t recommend her more, she’s been great and I look forward to rebooking with her in the future 🙂”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life including 5 of my own family’s and probably 100 other dogs because my mom had a dog walking and boarding business growing up! I have watched all breeds and all sizes of dogs and would love to meet yours! I am currently working a job that is Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri from 6-4 so I am available to arrange outside of those hours. I am in a good sized studio apartment so I would probably provide the best getaway for either a smaller/medium sized dog or a more calm and cuddly medium/larger dog. Of course we will take walks either way! I have no pets of my own right now.
About: I spent more than a decade loving a very large, very opinionated German Shepherd named Ruta through epilepsy, severe allergies, endless medication schedules, and his senior years, so “high-maintenance” pets don’t scare me. I tend to love them even harder. These days I’m supervised by Edwin, my mini Aussie rescue, who has strong opinions about other dogs, delivery trucks, and apparently several completely innocent squirrels. Living with him has made me very comfortable with boundaries, reactivity, slow introductions, and the fact that not every dog wants to be everybody’s friend. I’m also the person who genuinely wants the six-paragraph document explaining exactly how your dog likes breakfast. Give me the quirks, the routines, the medications, the weird little rules, the favorite toy, the thing they absolutely will not do unless you ask them in a very specific way. I want to know all of it. Basically: I take your pet seriously without taking myself too seriously. And yes, I will probably send you too many pictures. My schedule is pretty flexible, which means I can usually work around your pet’s normal routine. Walks, meals, potty breaks, meds, couch hangs; tell me what they’re used to and I’ll do my best to keep things consistent. Tell me everything. What’s their routine? What makes them nervous? Are they an escape artist? A sock eater? Do they lose their mind when a skateboard goes by? How are they on leash? I’m big on respecting a pet’s boundaries and keeping their routine as familiar as possible. I’d much rather know about a quirk or trigger ahead of time than be surprised by it later.

“Lily is AWESOME!!! Justice (my precious dog), was anxious when he first met her, but Lily was extremely patient and SO VERY loving and gentle with him - Needless to say, Lily quickly won him over!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! ❤️”

“Kathryn is so great with my wild Millie girl. I trust her to keep her safe on walks and manage her if some other dogs get too sassy! Millie is sweet but also a 90 lb handful so I really appreciate Kathryn’s handling of her. Will be using her again!”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, attention, and reliability I give every pet. I understand that pets are family, and I treat them that way. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, likes, and needs so they feel comfortable and safe while in my care. I’m dependable, communicative, and happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Whether your pet needs extra playtime, long walks, patience, cuddles, or simply someone they can trust, I make sure they receive personalized care and plenty of attention. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I currently work part time, which gives me the flexibility to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, and spending time with them is actually one of my favorite ways to relieve stress and recharge my batteries. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, giving them attention, or simply relaxing together, I really enjoy the companionship animals bring. My schedule allows me to be dependable, flexible, and present, so your pet gets the care, affection, and attention they deserve. Caring for animals never feels like a chore to me, it’s something I truly look forward to. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any special instructions provided by the owner. In my home, I make sure pets have a clean, comfortable, and calm environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. In a client’s home, I respect both their space and their pet’s routine, keeping everything as familiar as possible so the pet feels less stressed while their owner is away. I also pay close attention to each pet’s personality and behavior, because every animal is different. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident knowing their pet is being well cared for.
“Jeremy is a great Rover walker. It’s so hot outside that we needed to bump back the time of the walks and just mostly play indoors and he is very accommodating. Our dog loves seeing him each day!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover and a proud dog owner myself. Raising and caring for my own dog, Chunk, has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and attentive care. I have experience with regular walking routines, feeding schedules, and providing plenty of playtime. Whether your dog is high-energy or a laid-back senior, I know how to tailor my approach to keep them happy, healthy, and entirely comfortable while you are away. My daily routine is highly flexible, allowing me to easily incorporate pet care into my schedule. I am available for morning, afternoon, and evening walks, as well as drop-in visits throughout the week. Because I manage my own professional workload from home, I can easily adapt to your pet's specific routine and ensure they get the attention they need exactly when they need it. I currently live in a cozy, pet-friendly studio apartment that is perfect for dogs who need a calm and secure environment. When staying at your home or providing services, I treat your space with the utmost respect and ensure all doors and gates are fully secured. My priority is always your pet's safety, so on walks, I stay highly aware of my surroundings, avoid off-leash areas unless explicitly instructed, and keep a close eye on their comfort in the Texas heat.
“Paige is a great choice for a dog walker. She has a fairly flexible schedule and was able to quickly pick up on the ins and outs of waking all three of our dogs, who are different ages and have different needs.”

“Heidi walked our dog for 4 days while we were out of town. I absolutely recommend her because she genuinely cares for each furbaby as if they were her own. She asked a lot of questions during her initial meeting with us and even took down her own notes. She was on time for each walk, gave detailed updates and sent a picture for every walk. I can tell she really cares and really made the extra effort to make sure my baby was comfortable and happy while we were away.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. I had the joy of caring for my dog for 14 wonderful years—he was truly family and taught me so much about love and responsibility. I also cared for my cat for 3 years, and though he's not living with me now, I still adore him and visit him often. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of both dogs and cats, and I’ll treat your pet with the same care, patience, and affection I gave my own. I a full-time time student, but pet care fits perfectly into my mornings, evenings, and weekends. I’m committed to making time for the pets I care for, whether it’s early morning feedings, evening walks, or weekend visits. Your pet’s well-being is a priority, and I’ll make sure they get the attention and love they need when you're away. I believe pets feel safest and most comfortable in their own environment, which is why I provide care in your home—not mine. This helps reduce stress for your pet and keeps their routine as normal as possible. I always respect your space, follow your instructions closely, and treat your home with the same care I would my own. I’m also happy to send regular photo updates and check-ins so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.

I keep their routines as consistent as possible—feeding schedules, walk times, medication, and any special care instructions you provide are followed closely. Whether it’s cuddles on the couch, playtime in the yard, or quiet time for older pets, I tailor my care to their unique needs and personality. I’m home throughout the day and night, so your pet will never be left alone or without attention.

About: I'm hoping to find a sweet dog that is looking for a sweet girl to visit and walk with daily. If that's your dog, please send them my way. My goal is to make you and your pet feel comfortable while you're away. I'm extremely responsible, professional, and respectful of your home and privacy, not to mention kind of a clean freak. Your dog will love all the attention they receive while we relax, watch Netflix, and cuddle. Did I mention the hundreds of belly rubs they'll get while I'm there. That's included at no additional cost. What started out as taking care of friends and family's pets has turned into a genuine love for this business. I love each and every pet I care for and have formed special bonds with them all. I personally don't have pets which allows me the flexibility to care for yours, as well as fill my life with great joy getting to know them. I hope to meet your sweet loved ones and continue to have the best job in the world. I walk dogs daily and have a set schedule with them. I'm looking to add more dogs to my rotation between the hours of 10 and 5, Monday thru Friday. I have stayed in many homes without incident and pride myself in the respect I show to your possessions. I will take care of your pets in the comfort of their own home and surroundings to put them at ease while their family is away.
About: I’ve cared for all kinds of different breeds ranging from Great Danes to Yorkies. My family had Rottweilers when I was growing up so I have hands on experience training, owning, and most importantly loving dogs. I work from home most days and have flexible hours so my schedule revolves around your dog. After all, it’s a dog's world and we’re just living in it! I offer personalized care based on the unique needs and interests of your dog. When you leave your dog with me you’ll leave with peace of mind so you can enjoy your vacation as much as your pup will enjoy theirs!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Austin
Christian always takes such good care of our pups for a midday walk or backyard break! We appreciate she considers the heat and does a shorter walk depending on conditions suitable. They love when Christian stops in to let them stretch their legs, have some time outside, and get a few licks/pets in!
Toril was genuinely so great 😭 This was my first time using Rover and I was definitely anxious about leaving the pups, but she made the whole thing feel way less stressful. Super easy to talk to, sent me updates, and somehow managed to get the CUTEST pictures of them lol. I never felt weird or worried about them being with her, and the pups were happy and very clearly well taken care of when I got back. Thank you so very much for looking over our babies. 💜

Andy was GREAT with Eve. Took her on a long walk, send lots of photos and videos of a happy pup and played with her more at home. He also gave her dinner and stayed a little extra, which we so appreciated her having the company. He was very communicative and kind and Eve just loved him!

Amelia is amazing! She walks my dog weekly and before starting she took the time to meet Winnie before hand and she had a list of the most thoughtful questions she should know before starting which made me feel super comfortable!! She always sends her walk route and a bunch of pictures of what they did on the walk including Winnie’s water and potty breaks. I would recommend her to anyone! She has given me great peace of mind while I am working in the office that my dog is being taken care of and winnie loves her!

Noa is amazing!! She's kind, and considerate, and clearly loves animals. I have a big lab who pulls like crazy so I was a bit nervous about having her walk him, but she handled it very well and Cody had such a good time! She sent lots of great pictures, and was very punctual. Cody loves her so much and is sooo excited to go on walks with her. I would definitely recommend Noa to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and dependable dog walker/sitter!
I felt so great about leaving my dog Sancho in Stephanie’s care for a week long trip. My dog immediately took a liking to her at the meet and greet. She went above and beyond with long walks in the heat and hand feeding my dog who has bad eating habits while I’m away. My dog also has special walking needs and she handled his reactivity amazingly!! I will definitely contact her again the next time I need to leave town. I’m so happy I found her rover page!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nicole! She watched my dog Bronson for an entire week, and I genuinely could not have asked for a better person to care for him. She was incredibly attentive, loving, responsible, and communicative the entire time. I never once had to worry about whether he was okay I knew he was in such good hands. Bronson was clearly so comfortable and happy with her, which means everything to me. It’s not easy leaving your dog for that long, but Nicole gave me complete peace of mind and treated him like he was her own. I came home to a happy, well cared for boy, and I’m beyond grateful. Nicole is an absolute gem, and I would trust her with Bronson again without hesitation. If you’re looking for someone who will genuinely love and care for your pet rather than simply “watch” them, she is your person. 10/10, five stars, cannot recommend her enough! 🖤🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
