About: I’ve spent pretty much my entire life surrounded by animals. Growing up in Greece, my parents and I regularly took in stray dogs and cats and gave them permanent homes. At our peak, we had four dogs and six cats at the same time, most of whom simply walked into our backyard one day and apparently thought, “Yep, this will do!” They never left. Since moving to Austin five years ago, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and, thanks to word of mouth, friends of friends (and eventually people I had never met, which I take as a good sign). I’ve cared for dogs and cats of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, and have been trusted with walks, check-ins, feeding, playtime, and overnight stays. I’m very comfortable around animals and fully accept that while you’re away, your pet is the boss and I’m merely the staff. And yes, that’s Anna, our Westie, in my profile picture. She still lives with my parents in Greece, and whenever I FaceTime them, she is required to appear on screen first. My parents have accepted their place in the hierarchy. I’m a graduate student at UT, which gives me a pretty flexible schedule. Even on days when I need to be on campus, I often come home during my lunch break.
 My days usually start around 6 a.m. with a workout and wind down around 10 p.m. with a book in bed, so I’m happy to accommodate both early risers and pets who take their beauty sleep very seriously. Walks, playtime, meals, check-ins, and plenty of attention can easily fit into my daily routine. If your pet loves a routine, I’m your person. I know how much animals rely on familiarity, especially when their humans are away, so I’ll follow their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. I’m active and always happy to go for a long neighborhood walk—or, if you live downtown, your dog and I may become regulars on the trail. But I’m equally committed to the important work of doing absolutely nothing. If your pet prefers couch time, they’re welcome to join me while I read. I’ll handle the book; they can handle the naps. Above all, I’ll treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I’d want someone to show mine, and I’m happy to send plenty of updates and photos while you’re away.

About: I'm hoping to find a sweet dog that is looking for a sweet girl to visit and walk with daily. If that's your dog, please send them my way. My goal is to make you and your pet feel comfortable while you're away. I'm extremely responsible, professional, and respectful of your home and privacy, not to mention kind of a clean freak. Your dog will love all the attention they receive while we relax, watch Netflix, and cuddle. Did I mention the hundreds of belly rubs they'll get while I'm there. That's included at no additional cost. What started out as taking care of friends and family's pets has turned into a genuine love for this business. I love each and every pet I care for and have formed special bonds with them all. I personally don't have pets which allows me the flexibility to care for yours, as well as fill my life with great joy getting to know them. I hope to meet your sweet loved ones and continue to have the best job in the world. I walk dogs daily and have a set schedule with them. I'm looking to add more dogs to my rotation between the hours of 10 and 5, Monday thru Friday. I have stayed in many homes without incident and pride myself in the respect I show to your possessions. I will take care of your pets in the comfort of their own home and surroundings to put them at ease while their family is away.

About: I’ve worked at an Animal Hospital for 3 years and have more knowledge on pet care and health than most! My friends have relied on me to take care of their dogs and cats when they’re out of town or unable to come home during their work day. Whether that’s just hanging out in their space, taking them on walks, administering meds, or having play time, the pets in my care are sure to feel safe and loved in my company. I’m currently on my self discovery journey and not working at a full or part time job. So, I’m pretty available, outside of taking care of my own kitties. When coming into you and your pets space, I make sure to discuss with you any behaviors your animal might display. It can be a little scary to meet a new person sometimes, so talking about whether or not your pet does best with being praised, given treats, or giving them their own space to come to you, will be a big part in developing that trust with them. I’m willing to work with you and your pets needs, however that looks!

About: In high school I briefly volunteered at Keller HSNT and then pivoted to volunteering at a no-kill, nonprofit animal shelter called Operation Kindness where I was trained to properly look after both dogs and cats! I volunteered there for several years and I was able to walk the dogs there too, learning how to provide them a calm walk and to deescalate their stress in response to their environment. Additionally, I have my own two sweet dogs back home and I always take them on long walks and adore caring for them. Since they’re my family’s dogs, I don’t consider caring for them as professional pet care experience, but I do want to mention that my love for Buster and Mojo has taught me a lot of the basics! Although I’ve taken both of them on walks together before, I would prefer to walk one dog at a time when it comes to other people’s dogs, given that I am less familiar with their temperaments and I want to ensure that everything goes smoothly! Other than that, I absolutely loveeee animals and I enjoy spending time with them! I’ve looked after several of my friends’ dogs before and have been paid to walk some of my neighborhood dogs in high school, as well as dog and cat-sit for them! As a sophomore at UT, classes and student org events are what primarily make up my schedule. I’m usually pretty free on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, because I have classes until 10am those days. On Tuesdays and Thursdays however, my time is more limited because I’m generally unavailable until late afternoon on those days. Caring for a pet at a client’s home includes being incredibly knowledgeable of my client’s boundaries regarding their home, as well as communicating important parts of their pet’s routine. Safety is incredibly essential, and I know that my time and attention towards their pet is crucial: I have never allowed myself to pay more attention to my phone or other things when what I should be paying the greatest level of attention to is the client’s pet.

About: Hi, I’m Sydney! I grew up with animals, starting with our beloved cat Kitzel and then two crazy miniature schnauzers named Gabby and Schultz. My family also fostered dogs regularly when I was a kid, and in high school I volunteered at a humane society walking dogs and working with the kittens every day. More recently I’ve been volunteering at Austin Pets Alive! (APA), where I’m trained to walk dogs and volunteer with the cats as a kitty cupid, matching them with adopters. My own dog, Raven, is a rescue. I trained her myself on loose leash walking, advanced obedience, and beginner’s agility. she even qualified for her Canine Good Citizen in our training class. I’ve also watched my parents’ dog, Heidi, for 6+ months and done week-long stays for friends with 7+ different dogs, ranging from a Cavapoo puppy to a senior Bernese Mountain Dog, so I’m used to adjusting to different personalities and routines. I do dog walking as well as house sitting and drop-ins for both dogs and cats. I’ll stick to your pet’s routine, keep up with any training you’re working on, and send you photos so you know how they’re doing :) I’m home most days with a flexible schedule, so I can do midday walks, multiple drop-ins a day, and last-minute requests. I am available weekends and holidays as well. I am not rushing between other jobs, so your pet gets my full attention! All of my care happens in your home, so your pets get to stay in their own space with their normal routine. I don’t bring my own dog along, so it’s just me and your pets. Before the first booking, I’ll go over everything with you at a meet and greet: feeding, meds, walk routines, quirks, favorite toys, and anything they’re nervous about. Then I stick to it as closely as possible. For walks, I always double-check harnesses and collars before heading out and keep dogs leashed the whole time. For drop-ins, I take care of food, fresh water, litter or potty breaks, meds if needed, and spend the rest of the visit playing, cuddling, or just hanging out, depending on what your pet likes. For house sitting, I’ll keep your pet company overnight and provide daytime care every 4-6 hours for potty breaks, meals, playtime and cuddles. I will also help bring in mail, water plants, take out trash, and keep the house tidy. I always make sure doors and gates are closed and locked before I leave, and I’ll send photos and updates every visit so you never have to wonder how they’re doing :)

In my home, I make sure pets have a clean, comfortable, and calm environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. In a client’s home, I respect both their space and their pet’s routine, keeping everything as familiar as possible so the pet feels less stressed while their owner is away. I also pay close attention to each pet’s personality and behavior, because every animal is different. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident knowing their pet is being well cared for.

About: We’ve been caring for dogs for neighbors and close friends for the past few years, and it’s something we truly love doing. We treat every dog like our own, providing lots of attention, walks, playtime, and cuddles. We also have a very friendly mini goldendoodle who loves other dogs and does great with new furry friends, making our home a fun and social environment. Your pup will be safe, loved, and well cared for with us. I work from home, and my husband has a very flexible schedule, so pet care fits seamlessly into our daily routine. Dogs are rarely left alone and get plenty of attention throughout the day. We plan our schedules around walks, feeding times, playtime, and rest, making sure each dog feels comfortable, cared for, and part of our home. We provide a calm, safe, and loving home environment. Since I work from home and my husband has a flexible schedule, dogs are always supervised and well cared for. We follow each dog’s routine closely, including feeding instructions and any special needs. About: I’ve cared for all kinds of different breeds ranging from Great Danes to Yorkies. My family had Rottweilers when I was growing up so I have hands on experience training, owning, and most importantly loving dogs. I work from home most days and have flexible hours so my schedule revolves around your dog. After all, it’s a dog's world and we’re just living in it! About: I have experience with dogs through my own 4 year old Husky, previous pets, and having taken care of my friend’s pets! I believe every dog has their own set of needs and personality that should be prioritized. Whether it’s a walk or boarding, I’d love to spend time and take care of your pets when you can’t! If you have any specific questions, feel free to reach out! I’m currently back in school so my schedule is flexible and remote. I ended up having much more free time than I thought and living in a very dog-friendly building and neighborhood, pet care fits perfectly into my life. As I mentioned, I do have a 4 year old dog of my own. I live in a high rise downtown, so no backyard though my building does have its own dog park area. I live on the 15th floor so dogs do have to be elevator friendly.

About: I've never met a dog or cat I can't win over. I meet them at their pace, never pushing unwanted interaction onto them. I have volunteered and fostered for multiple shelters. I have experience administering medicine, grooming, and bathing. Currently working part-time, so I'm relatively free to look after pets. I am also a morning person, and I don't mind getting up early to check in on and walk someone's baby, especially with how hot it is right now. I will follow your guidance on your dog or cat's care in your household to a T. I want to alleviate the stress an animal may feel meeting a new person by sticking to their usual routine.

About: I have sporadically been caring for mainly cats & dogs since 2015 (with doing house sits full-time since June 2021). Friends & clients would rely on me to walk, feed, spend quality time (i.e. play, pet, cuddle) & monitor their cats & dogs while they are out-of-town. Pet care fits with my daily routine where I'm able to adjust my schedule to meet the clients' needs accordingly. I provide flexibility so that when my clients' return, they can continue with life prior to them hiring me. I care for the pets in my clients' homes' according to their specifications. I have sat indoor cats where I would make sure they avoid becoming "escape artists"; I have called for indoor/outdoor cats before dark so that they are in the house as a safe environment; I have made sure leashes were in correctly for dogs prior to going for walks & have made sure they stay on it until they are at a dog park (to run/play at their leisure) and they return home. I make sure their fed on schedule & that they receive as much love as they allow for me to give.
