My schedule is very open right now, which gives me a lot of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and playtime. I’m able to adjust to your pet’s routine and make sure they get consistent care whenever needed. In my clients’ homes, I always follow their routines, preferences, and house rules. My goal is to keep each pet comfortable and cared for while I’m a guest in their space.

About: Hi! I have about 10 years experience taking care of other folks’ pets. I’m the go to person for friends, Family and coworkers whenever they need someone to check on their furry loved one or watch them while they’re out of town. I’d love to meet your pal and treat them like my own! I have had my dog for about 7 years, and also have two cats, one with pretty intensive health needs so I’m comfortable around an assortment of animals. I love taking my dog on walks at the trail by my house and to the green belt, I can check on your pet whenever you need and have reliable transportation! I promise your pet is in safe hands with me, and will get lots of play time, cuddling and exercise if they are with me! I currently work full time, but am mostly remote so I can be flexible with dog walking or check in visits. I don’t mind swinging by to feed, walk or just chill with your pets, especially if you have a long day at work. I’m comfortable taking your dog on walks or playing with them out in the yard. I’m flexible and can do either one, or even dog parks depending on your preferences!

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was a young child. Always having dogs and cats of my own to care for, my friends and family have always relied on me to sit their fur babies when they are away. Recently I pet sat for a litter of puppies and a momma doggie. I had to make specialty food gruel for the puppies and monitor momma to make sure she was healthy. I helped the puppies nurse and always made sure they had fresh bedding (since they poop all over). I also had to care for another male dog in the same house and make sure he was kept away from the room that the momma and puppies were in. It was such an amazing experience and I would love to do it again. I also volunteer at the Austin Animal Shelter (Austin Pets Alive), where I work in the parvovirus unit working with extremely sick puppies. I administer oral medication, clean up their poop, do daily feedings and have experinece in IV treatments. I also volunteer in the cat unit helping sick and injured cat rehabilitate giving oral and IV medication, cleaning wounds and feedings. My belated kitty, Morrisis, was a senior cat, who in his later years, became paralyzed from the waist down. I did daily physical therapy with him, built him specialized litter boxes and a set of wheels to get around with. I also had to clean his wounds and poop off of his rear end, since he no longer had control of his bladder. I administered CBD to help with pain management. There is a special place in my heart for sick and disabled animals and I give them just as much love as every animal deserves, which is all of my love. I my free time, I foster stray cats in my neighborhood, taking them to their first vet appointments, getting shots and managing any sickness they may have. I foster them myself until I can find a suitable forever home for them. My work schedule is usually 5 hours a day. This allows me to do Drop In services and walks before my full time job, as well as multiple times afterwards. Throughout the week or weekend I am more than happy to house sit and give lots of attention and care to your fur babies morning, afternoon, evening and over night. When I am in my clients home, I allow supervised playtime outside and will keep your pup entertained. In the heat of Texas summers I will minimize outside play time and play with your pup more inside so they do not get over heated, unless you request otherwise. I do 2-3 walks a day depending on the dogs breed, age and anynhealth concerns. I'll take them around the neighborhood to stretch their legs or on a local hiking trail/ park if they are a more active dog. I keep a close inventory on any medications the animal may have and stick to the correct time for administering medication/ wound treatment. Meal time is usually on a schedule, unless you free feed, and I will always make sure there is cold fresh water available for your fur babies (cats and dogs alike). For kitties, I will engage them in playtime and try to get out their zoomies so they do not tear up furniture, unless they are sick or injured.

About: Do you have a dachshund that you’re nervous to leave in someone else’s care because of how unique they are? I completely understand. I was the same way with mine. Dachshunds have their own little quirks, and their backs require some extra care. I know how important it is to have someone who understands how to properly pick them up and why you don’t want them constantly jumping off beds or couches. My home has stairs leading up to both, so they can get where they want to go without putting unnecessary stress on their backs. My husband and I also work from home full-time with flexible jobs, so your Velcro pup won’t be left alone. I’m able to give them lots of attention, hang out with them throughout the day, and take them outside as many times as they need. 5–6 times a day? No worries! I’ve watched multiple dachshunds for friends I’ve met through our local dachshund meetup, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know each of them and their little personalities. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dachshund with someone else, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re in good hands. I decided to offer my services on Rover because I know what it’s like to be new to town and not have someone you trust to watch your dog. If you’re looking for someone who already understands dachshunds and all their little quirks, I’d love to meet you and your pup! My husband and I work from home every day, so we are at the beck and call of your pup! Whatever they need, I can provide: all day cuddles, potty outside breaks, mid-day walks… you name it. I have a knack for reading animal behavior- dogs have very clear warning signs when they’re on edge, shy, excited, etc. I will make sure your pet stays safe and comfortable and avoid any situations that may cause any doubt

About: I have a 3-year-old mini dachshund of my own, but I’ve been caring for dogs since childhood! I have a consistent weekly work schedule and spend part-time in office and the rest from home, so I have more flexibility to drop in and provide walks throughout the week. It also means I have more time at home to spend with my own pup and yours! Previously, I relied on regular daycare and drop-in visits for my own dog, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your furry one. When your pet is with me, you can trust that I will be giving them plenty of love and affection to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved especially when they’re missing you!! I’m so excited for the opportunity to meet your sweet, perfect pup <3 With my consistent WFH schedule, my pup and I typically enjoy three walks a day, and I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s specific routine, exercise needs, and preferences. Whether your dog loves long walks, frequent potty breaks, playtime, or just some extra cuddles, I’ll make sure they get the attention and care they deserve! I have a puppy-safe apartment and a patio that my dachshund loves to sunbathe on. Safety is always my top priority, so pets are supervised and kept on a leash during walks and potty breaks outside. For drop-in visits, I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to show mine. I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s routine and any reasonable requests. I’ll make sure your pet has fresh water, food, playtime, and plenty of attention, and I’ll ensure they’re safely settled in (whether that means being crated, or comfortable and secure) before I leave.

I’m able to stop home during lunch to check on any pets. Otherwise I work from home most days. I treat your pets as if they are my own. About: I’ve done pet sitting since I was in high school where I watched many neighbors dogs as well as friends. I’ve just begun to do dog sitting professionally after several years doing it exclusively for family and friends. I’m from Austin and am familiar with roads here. If needed I can provide frequent daytime breaks to pups that need it. If there are any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Your pup will be well taken care of daily. About: I’ve worked at an Animal Hospital for 3 years and have more knowledge on pet care and health than most! My friends have relied on me to take care of their dogs and cats when they’re out of town or unable to come home during their work day. Whether that’s just hanging out in their space, taking them on walks, administering meds, or having play time, the pets in my care are sure to feel safe and loved in my company. I’m currently on my self discovery journey and not working at a full or part time job. So, I’m pretty available, outside of taking care of my own kitties. When coming into you and your pets space, I make sure to discuss with you any behaviors your animal might display. It can be a little scary to meet a new person sometimes, so talking about whether or not your pet does best with being praised, given treats, or giving them their own space to come to you, will be a big part in developing that trust with them. I’m willing to work with you and your pets needs, however that looks!
