About: I’ve spent my whole life taking care of pets and I have gained experience both in professional and personal settings. I have worked with a wide variety of dogs and cats with all kinds of routines and care needs and have no trouble adapting! I am available during mid June to mid September 2026 since I’m an out of state college student and this is my summer break! I am available for most of the week and can be flexible. Caring for your pet(s) in your home won’t be much of a hassle for me! I’ll be keeping an eye on your pet(s) at all times and will keep to whatever routine you give me. If you’re worried about playtime and cuddles, there’s no need because I plan to give your pet(s) all the attention they deserve and more!
“Dan has been an amazing dog walker. So helpful, so gentle, and so experienced. Really appreciated all the walks he took Stan (our rather large and pull-y boi) on during our time in Austin. Thanks, Dan!”
About: Working from home allows me to spend more time with my dog and give my clients’ dogs all the attention they deserve. Taking care of my bulldog daily requires applying nose butter, baby whites, dental wipes and more. I am happy to do this for my clients fur babies too! I currently work full time from home as an IT business analyst. This allows me flexibility to help care for other pets all day everyday I have a 4 year old English bulldog at home. I take him on walks daily (when it is not too hot). Due to bulldog’s health issues I clean his face and nose daily. I am very comfortable caring for clients’ pets and providing whatever service they may need.
“Jenna was so sweet with my mini Aussie Bucket. He is anxious & shy so when I got home and he was happy and taken care of -it made me feel so relieved that I found a good Walker! Will be booking her regularly!”

“John is trustworthy, reliable, and extremely calming to my dog. She doesn’t even bark when he arrives which doesn’t happen with anyone else. Highly recommend!”

“Ashley has been in our lives, caring for my dog and cat (and me), for over a YEAR now! She is a gem and a loving Dog Mama herself. I appreciate that she understands my sweet, but often reactive, pup and has worked to boost her confidence on walks. She is enthusiastic, dependable, and flexible, even when the unforeseen Ice Storm kept changing the schedule. Basically, she just feels like a friend at this point - someone I implicitly trust! Our fam is very grateful.”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a teenager. I have experience staying overnight for long periods of time, and also with dropping in here and there for playtime! I currently work as an online tutor and I am a full-time student at Texas A&M University. During the summer break, I am very flexible! I will respect the pet owner's wishes when it comes to leaving pets inside or taking them outside. I have lots of experience with walking animals, and I'll make sure they stay safe!
“Thank you so much to Aryanna, she writes such detailed reports and takes such great care of our dog, who - admittedly - is not easy to deal with. We appreciate you Aryanna and can only give our warmest recommendations to anyone looking for a dog walker or sitter!”

“First time actually having a reliable person that actually showed up, Chelsea was very nice handled my dog with extra care and I love the photos that was taken along their walk. I will be booking again with Chelsea..”

About: I have cared for my own dog for 5 years and am patient, reliable, and attentive. I love animals and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, care, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout both weekdays and weekends. I provide a safe, clean, calm, and loving environment where pets are always supervised, treated with patience and kindness, and given proper care, affection, feeding, and attention daily.
“Allison was great! She was able to accommodate my request in such short notice and my girl was able to have her walk and company while I was away for the day.”

About: I grew up with a wide variety of animals but especially cats and dogs. I’ve been dog sitting and walking as a side hustle since freshman year of high school in 2016. I moved out and got certified as a wag walker in early 2023. It’s been a great side hustle over the years and I’ve picked up additional skills like training and grooming. I also have two cats as an adult. What has changed currently is leaving my full time job in hopes of connecting with things I love like animals. My parents no longer live in state and I miss my dog friends. I make my own schedule and most of my income is currently from pet care. Open to odd jobs and odd hours, genuinely love the work. I have diagnosed ocd so if you give me a list I will stick to it. I try to go above and beyond when it comes to care and that extra step. Bonding with the animal and understanding their specific personality is highly important to me.
“Great dog walker. Always reliable and shows up when needed. They’ve been walking Sharon since she was a baby puppy, so they’ve been part of her routine for a long time now. Consistent 30-minute walks and solid communication with regular updates. Really trustworthy and a huge help overall. Would definitely recommend.”

About: Took a break from Rover as my job was more demanding but now back to having more flexibility and being remote full-time and want to put meaningful time back into Rover. During my time away from the app, I still continued to care for neighbors and friends animals. From puppies to older dogs that require a slower pace and / or specific care instructions. I grew up with dogs, so I have had the opportunity to care for a variety of dogs at all different ages and health conditions. I'm very adaptable to what they need. Have cared for dogs that love a lot of outdoor time and others that just want to lay on the couch. Have also cared for dogs that need special care - inclusive of special diets / eating times, administering medication and behavioral issues with people and other animals. I love love a good game of catch and never get tired of giving belly rubs and scratches behind the ear. I'm work from home full-time, so have plenty of time to care for your dog or cat. I can do walks any time of the day, head to the park or spend time with them in the house so they aren’t alone all day. For dogs, I have no issues taking them on a drive or in a store, if you are comfortable with that as well! I grew up with cats and dogs and currently have two cats of my own and share a backyard with my neighbor that has a dog. I’d care for them as I do the ones I am around every day. They are part of the family! Lots of love :) Most importantly I understand they are all different. So in order to provide the right care, I’ll take the time to ask the right questions and understand your pet so they get the care they need and deserve while you are away.

“Christine is great! I hired her to walk my dog on a daily basis, and she has been super understanding when I have had to cancel which I really appreciate. And my dog Zena really enjoys her time with her.”

“Consistently wonderful each time I book. Birdie loves her and Maia is thorough and kind. Always happy to book with her and see how happy my pup is on her Rover card. Maia is flexible and goes above and beyond. 10/10!”

About: I have fostered and cared for a variety of temperaments as well as accidents and ailments. My personality under pressure is imperative to calm pets. I am fully remote and working on European time zones. My husband works in office and I just love the company! My furbaby motivates me to go on walks during a break and other energy mixed in just creates a fun happy environment. It should be noted that when we have all had a big day, lounging in the sectional collectively to some good TV before sleep is crucial. Along with pupsicles-duh. I have a fenced-in yard that backs up to a protected piece of land. It is absolutely gorgeous and calm, not to mention for great fetch. A dog trail leads to a nearby park with all of the smells! I can accommodate the preferences and needs of any pet or owner's request.
“Dale is great! He is dependable, easy going, and is great with my dog, Easy. He was patient with some quirks that Easy has during walks and is generally a very kind person. Highly recommend!”

“Ross is simply great! He took some time out of his weekend to meet up with Dixie & I for a meet and greet so that he could become acquainted with her and assess how to best care for her during their scheduled walks. He really does care and it truly shows!”

Jean was great with my dog and our foster goldendoodle. He arrived on time and took good care of them. He followed my instructions perfectly. He communicated well and sent me cute pictures. He was patient with their quirks and he came on short notice when mo one else could. He was a lifesaver! I would recommend him and use him again without concern.

Danielle is absolutely amazing with Mishka! She is great about listening to Mishka’s cues when she wants to keep walking or needs a chill day to just play inside. It’s very apparent how much she cares about the dogs she walks. Mishka is so excited to see her each day and it shows in all the pics that Danielle sends! I’m so happy to have found someone I trust Mish with in Austin.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
